It begins when a prophecy is revealed. "Embrace what you find in the shadows, for only they can clear the sky." Alderpaw later becomes a medicine cat apprentice due to a dream. Alderpaw, his sister Sparkpaw, Molewhisker, Sandstorm, and Cherryfall go on a quest to SkyClan, thinking SkyClan is "what you find in the shadows." Needlepaw, a ShadowClan apprentice, secretly joins them. On the way, Sandstorm dies peacefully. The cats get to SkyClan's gorge, only to find rouges have disbanded SkyClan and have tooken over the territory. The cats leave, and soon Needlepaw and Alderpaw find two she-kits. Needlepaw suggests they are "what you find in the shadows." They name them Violetkit and Twigkit. They decide at the next Gathering that ShadowClan and ThunderClan get one kit each. Rowanstar, the ShadowClan leader chooses Violetkit.
In conclusion, this book is SWAG!

When Alderpaw became an apprentice, he was as happy as any cat to do so. He now finds out about SkyClan and their need for help. When Alderpaw joins His littermate Sparkpaw, the determined elder Sandstorm, Molewhisker, Cherryfall, and Needlepaw from ShadowClan, the group begins their quest to find SkyClan and help them. Will they find SkyClan, or is their clan filled with imposters?
