Harlan Coben has been my favorite author for years and his character, Myron Bolitar, is like an old friend. So I was really looking forward to his return. I have to say, I was disappointed. The Myron in this book is not the same character I know and love. If you've never read any of the previous Bolitar books, and enjoy Coben's stand-alone novels, then you will probably enjoy this too as it is well written and interesting. Just don't expect the old Myron.

Although this scenario seems far-fetched, the author makes it seem not only possible but probable. Loved the plot and the characters, fast-paced action, didn't want to put it down. Always love the humanity of Myron Bolitar mixed with his physical and mental strength. He's both a lovable and admirable character. Love, love, love this book and would definitely recommend.

I loved the characters in this book. Each is multi faceted and can't be put into a square box and labeled! Harlan has a gift for writing in a way that makes me so sad when the story is over. I'm off to read his next book!

I greatly enjoyed this book, despite some of the bad reviews I read first. I do not believe it was a departure from overbooked the series, as we still went with Myron on a race to save someone in need.

I love the Myron Bolitar novels. Coben is a really good writer. I only "found" Coben a few months ago and have bought everything he has written. While I like all of his novels, the Myron novels are all-time favorites. Myron is a realistic, well-balanced character. I can imagine meeting him; his actions are real and believable. The plots are realistic and not predictable. I have been reading thriller/mysteries all my life, and I am really good at seeing the pattern in a plot and knowing what is going to happen. In all of his novels, I was only able to predict correctly one time. Coben is good. And I am so sorry I have to wait for Coben to write another one!. This is like waiting for a friend to come back to town.

Really can't understand all the negative reviews. Have read every book in order and found this one to be back to his snarky attitude that we all love in Myron. Actually put off reading because of reviews and am now very happy I read it. Will miss the Myron Bolitar books very much.
Thought this to be a very good story line with plenty of intrigue and thrill by the minute situations.
If your a Myron fan don't let the reviews stop you, guess it's all a matter of opinion!

This latest edition did not disappoint. I really liked it and once again it went too fast. About 2 days worth of reading. Coben's writing style is awesome, the characters are great and it is a fun read. Keeps you guessing and wanting more....

I've loved every book regarding Myron Bolitar. The characters in his series are as great & interesting as Myron is. I love his best friend, Win, & am always in awe at how he manages to help Myron out of deadly situations because of his intelligence & cunning ways. Please keep writing these books Mr. Cohen!

I love Coben. But this book was a disappointment. Why, oh why, my dear author, would you resort to stereotypical hate literature? If I didn't love you so much, I would vow to never read another of your books again.

The bad guys in this book are terrorists. Muslims. Evil beyond words. Devoid of any sense of humanity. We don't get to know any of them in the book, but we do know that they are willing to go to extremely scary lengths to reach their goals. We should all be very very afraid.

Blech.

There are a lot of things I can overlook for a good story (like Myron being able to get out of any situation, no matter how dangerous), but this book actually left me feeling offended.

I love Harlan Coben and Myron Bolitar series and have listened to almost all of the books on CD. I could hardly wait to listen to his latest novel. However, as good as the subject amtter and book were, the reader was new. This one did not do justice to the book! My mind's picture of Wyn was destroyed- The reader could not really get the "Articulate" right! What a disappointment! The material was great, but......

HAVING READ ALL THE MYRON BOLITAR ADVENTURES- IN LOST LOST I EXCEPTED THE SAME TYPE OF PLOT , LIGHT AND FLUFFY . THIS IS NOT THE CASE. LONG LOST HAS GREAT PLOT LINE , IT NEVER FLAGS, IT KEEPS THE READER ENGROSSED UNTIL THE FINAL PAGE . HARLEN COBEN HAS NOW TAKEN MYRON INTO ANOTHER DIMENSION
AND AS SUCH REMAINS MY FAVORITE AUTHOR. OTHER REVIEWERS MAY PROVIDE SPECIFIC DETAILS AND AS SUCH SPOIL THE STORY FOR OTHER READERS , SUFFICE TO SAY THIS BOOK IS A STUNNER

great pageturner, last chapter not what I anticipated. the whole "Hitler army" concept was a little cheesy, but the action scenes were great. myron needs to get his crap together because he has a great woman. don't let this one go!
