Not even worth the free download. I think the author was trying for a 50 shades of gray thing...and it didn't even work for that. I made it through a few chapters, but when I saw where it was going (The Stables), I deleted it off my Kindle.

I absolutely loved this book not just as an author but a reader as well. I am always envious of authors who can write well in first person, mainly because I find this type of writing so difficult to do myself, and yet grabs the reader and throws them into the characters in a way other forms of writing just can't.

I love that the hero is damaged and sees himself this way, lending to how handsome and sexy he is making him all the more for our heroine. Emma is attracted to Brandon because as a woman with Autism, she sees the world not black and white but inside out. As a mother with a child with these tenancies, I felt an immediate connection to Emma and loved the strength and weaknesses her character shows.

The first half of the story goes along great, gets your heart pumping and leads us into the world of BDSM in a mild manner. I have read other reviews stating this shouldn't have even been a part of this book. This is where I disagree. Brandon lives in a world where BDSM allows him the control he's always had in his life, and yet when he finally finds a person to share this part of his life with, through the club he owns and the people whom he's cherished since he was young, also part of the club and what I believe will be secondary characters in another book in a series (fingers crossed) Brandon realizes he is the one out of control as Emma not only steals his heart but is open to being just as sexual as he is.

Some readers state there was no reason for the BDSM. And I love how author attacks this at the beginning of the book, by clarifying it's not for everyone, even light BDSM and that persons with Autism have needs emotionally and sexually they just don't always know how to convey this into words. She showcases this through Emma's character in such a wonderful way you can't help but fall in love with her.

My complaint about this book was the finale. Leading up to Brandon discovering what happened to Emma, through her good friend Charlie. I also felt it was a bit rushed and wanted more writing. But that only leads to the fact this author is so good at storytelling and drawing you in, I could read hours upon hours more about Emma and Brandon. We could all write endings different, even books different as we review them we have our own tastes which we are subjected to. I pushed all this aside, and found myself on that ledge with Emma wanting to pull her into my own arms and kiss her tears away. The struggles she went through. How horrible.

Happy endings are awesome but this one had me in tears. Kyle's confession made me angry with him for what he did to both Emma and Brandon, although I understood his motives. What I love is what he did for them in the end. No I'm not going to spoil it for you. You have to read it, but I began to cry. Any author who can evoke emotion from me through their words is amazing!

If the author is reading this. You will never be able to please everyone. I want you to know you have helped me so much as I have written eleven books collecting dust because of my fears of acceptance from others, understanding my characters and what they go through. You took pieces of who you are and put them into your characters and I fell in love with them. Thank you, both for the story you told and for the courage you showed in pointing out that none of us are perfect and stereotypes need to be forgotten. I have more confidence in myself now with my own writing because of reading yours.

God Bless!

The characters in this book are damaged but I love them both. Grabbed my heart and stomped all over it, but in a good way. The criticisms would be that the resolution comes off a bit too pat- it feels kind of rushed after the rest of the book- and although the description mentions BDSM themes, if you're expecting lots of hot BDSM action you're going to be disappointed. There's a bit in one section of the book, and that's it. The BDSM club section doesn't really fit into the rest of the book either.

I have mixed feelings about this book. It's well written, but everything moves so unbelievably quickly & perfectly that it's tough to believe. I was entranced by the beginning, the two lead characters meeting & connecting so perfectly. I was less enchanted the further I read.

Two deeply damaged people meet and fall instantly in love. Lust. Both. They have a whirlwind few days with an amazing connection & amazing sex. He introduces her to his friends; she's brilliant and knows about the business he & his friends own. He takes her to the exclusive BDSM club owned by the same people, and she's also into that. He tells her about his past and she's appropriately sympathetic & kind.

All the magic comes to a crashing halt quickly when her past demons visit with help from a secondary character, and is resolved equally (unbelievably) quickly.

Other reviews show Emma as having autism, I read her more as socially awkward with severe PTSD, the second possibly causing the first. I'm weary of the literary theory that the only way someone can be into BDSM is if they've experienced trauma, for both lead characters.

The book is crafted to be the start of a series, various couples introduced and their drama hinted at.

This book was amazing, I loved that they both thought they were broken, but had so much to offer to life. The great non blood surrounding the characters just made it so worth the read. I have read this book three times now and find it my go to book when I am wanting to read but don’t know what. This author is amazing.
