The book is very helpful for class. I never have any questions regarding homework or anything that the book itself cannot answer. I think the value of this book is way over stated however, because the content in this book is not that in depth. Overall a very nice book to have though, just wish I didn't have to pay as much as I did.

This was my text book for my Corporate Finance class while getting my MBA. I am 45 years old and do not have a finance background beyond what I have learned in business over the last 22 years. This book did an incredible job of spelling out the more difficult topics in an understandable manner. I will keep and reference the book.

This book was is FANTASTIC condition! I was honestly surprised at its condition since it was labeled/ sold as a used book. The book looked practically brand new! It definitely met and exceeded the expectations I had, and Im very satisfied with it! Thanks!

Very deceived. I wish I could have my money back. I rented this book through the store Kindle thinking I was going to get an Access code because all rentals give Access codes, but no Acess code was given. If you need this book for "reading on the go", it is excellent. But if you're a student that needs an Access code, don't get it.

Good overall text - sometimes can be too wordy and indirect on explanations. Other parts have really good examples. I would rather have a Text on Finance be more "Meat & Potatoes" than words. Show me the formula, then explain it - then give a practical example on how it is used/situationally....

The only great thing about this book is its small size and thats about it. The text doesn't do a very good job of explaining the ideas and concepts. Say you are given certain parts of an equation it doesn't really show you how to use to components to solve for the right number. Instead it gives you a wonderful GENERAL overview of an idea that is minimal in explanation. I'm almost at the point of flipping out because the lack of explanations and I'm only on Chapter 2.

If your class requires connect plus with this textbook, save yourself money and look somewhere else for a more affordable price.

I would rate this higher than two stars if the the book had connect +, unfortunately it does not. My professor requires me to have the connect access code for homework, and I would imagine many professors who request this book would as well.

I paid $167 for an incomplete book? Now I have to pay $50 separately for connect + to "complete" my purchase?

Why did this seller not indicate that this book does not have connect plus? If it's stated as brand new, I would guess that most people looking at this page description, seeing "new" and clicking "order" will be surprised to receive the book without connect +. Especially for that price. Jeez I'm already a broke student to begin with!

If you get the Kindle version, and the prof. assigned problems 1 - 5 on p45, good luck feeling confident you are doing the correct homework! The Kindle version does not have page numbers. Apparently software version 3.1 for the kindle does support page numbers, but only on certain books, not including this one.

This book is required for a Finance course. This is one of the worst college level textbooks I have ever been exposed to. I am taking this course as a requirement for a 3rd college degree so I have bought a few textbooks.

There are answers to every other problem and not one explanation as to how the answer was derived. Oh wait!!!, you can buy the accompanying student workbook and there are some semi-explanations there.

If this book is intended to be a teaching tool it has failed. The authors deserve an F and should reconsider themselves as "professors" or educators.

My university will hear about this total waste of money.

Authors (of this book), educators and others: feel free to contact me and I will elaborate. I will also offer suggestions and solutions to better present the material where this textbook fails. [...]

In hindsight, I probably should have realized that the book I purchased wasn't going to come with the access code for Connect plus for such a cheap price, but I was disappointed none the less. The title was misleading and I was required to spend additional money to purchase the access code for my class online. Probably my fault, but "with Connect Plus" is false advertising in my book. The book did come, after some waiting,in good condition. Which is why I gave it two stars and not one.
