Not crazy about the cover, it doesnt give the book justice. Really loved the interactions between characters. Love how strong Isabel is and disappointed how Chris wouldnt see what was right in front of him...true to life.

After reading Tall, Dark & Lonely (Pyte Series) I was expecting the story for Chris would rival the love story of his adopted parents.
And, while there were a lot of good points to the book - and I am glad I read it - the Chris that we met and loved in that first book wasn't even close to the same character in this book. He was just mean and hurtful. I didn't really understand it, his family didn't understand it, and his mate certainly didn't understand it. Its a shame, too, because the h was very cute and lovable and so was the H as we knew him in the first book.

OMG!!!
**fanning myself ***
this is an amazing drift from the norm...
and it leaves me panting for more...
Seriously, the main character Chris, needed a slap in the back of head sometimes...
But Love LOVE Ibby!
..that was my inner geek (yes, I work with computers) shouting with glee!!
**smiling secretly**
already read it twice
like enjoying fine wine....
I would recommend this book to anyone who is bored with the paranormal avalanche currently available to us!
Because it is definately in a class of its own.
Clever author!!!
making us eager to venture inside her world ... now waiting for more .....

Have to say I am absolutely in love with Chris!!! He is so funny and sweet. I have never really read these types of books before. The whole vampire and werewolf thing just never did it for me but I am totally hooked on this series. R.L. is a genius!!! Can't wait for the next book!

This one was difficult to finish. The beginning & end were great but it really dragged on in the middle. I was surprised because I LOVE this author. But I still liked it and will read the next.

R.L Mathewson has outdone herself in this series! This is the second boom in the series (the first ofcourse being Tall, Dark and Lonely). Without Regret is without a doubt a fantastic read! I could not stop reading. It is written beautifully and descriptive in a way where you fall in love with the characters immedietly. I love this story and can easily compare it to Twilight and say without any hesitation that the Pyte/Sentinel Series is so much better and offers so much more! Absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend this series!

Author introduced us to Chris in the first book and I thought he nearly stole the show. Adorable, funny...thrilled when I realized he was the next book... Then she went on to create a charater I boarderline loathed. Why??? He was completely unlikeable for 90% of the book with the obligatory "oops, I was only a complete jerk to you for your own good" epiphany and all is of course forgiven. Ugh, what a waste of the author's best character.

Loved this book also. The only thing that would make it better is to have someone else proofreading it first. I will be reading the next one in the series. The grammatical errors is the only reason I didn't give this one 5 stars.

Great story. I was not expecting the narrative views to be changed from Madison/ephraim, but it worked out great. The plot kept me interested and I finished the book within a couple days. The only reason it only has 4 stars is because it was repetitive at times. Details about the last book would be repeated for readers to be reminded, which is good, but then it would repeat again later on in the book. Other than that it's a great story and I loved hearing about Chris' life.

I enjoyed the entire Pyte/sentinel books and anxiously await the arrival of the 4 th in the series.
You will not regret reading the series if you enjoy reading any other of rl mathewson books. I can't get enough of this author!

Ok so I normally really enjoy this author. I loved the neighbors from Hell series and actually really enjoyed Tall, Dark and Lonely. As much as I hate to give any book 2 stars I was so disappointed in this book.
Chris is an absolute jerk in this book. And I don't mean, overbearing alpha kind of jerk, I mean cruel, selfish, and downright nasty. He spends the first part of the book saying that his "mate" is too weak for him. Apparently her only purpose for him is to be a fighter, when after the first day she is not a fighter, she is a nuisance and embarrassment that he can't wait to dump onto an island and out of his hair. On top of that, he repeatedly refers to her as a whore!
The middle of the book is him pushing her away, showing her not even a tiny bit of affection (except for the sex that he uses her for) and trying to ignore the "mistake" that is the child he knocked her up with. This is after he was unable to force her to abort it. He continues to intend to dump her on an island with the "mistake" once it's born!
The end of the book is him informing her that he actually loves her and then basically taking ownership over his precious little daughter. No one else is good enough to hold her or care for her other then him. To the point where the mom wasn't even allowed any say so on nursery decor!
His treatment of her was so shockingly bad that I could hardly stand reading it. It was made worse by her acceptance of it. She had sex with this man minutes after he called her a whore! It was pathetic. I kept reading, waiting for her to set him straight and she never did.
RL Mathewson writes some very nice, very steamy sex scenes but I literally couldn't even read them. I despised these characters so much I couldn't have cared less what happened to either one of them!
My biggest complaint was Chris and "Munchkins" acceptance of his behavior but it's also worth saying that the typos in this book were pretty extreme. Maybe they bothered me more then usual because I was already so irritated.
I have the next book in the series ready for me to read but frankly, I'm dreading it. If the characters are like they were in Without Regret I won't finish it. I wont waste my time on another infuriating book.

While the storyline itself was ok, there was far more detail (repetition) than usual in Mathewson's books so it tended to drag. It's worth reading in order to find out what happens to characters from the previous book, and sets up the third well. This probably could have been 1/3 smaller in length and would have worked better. Not feeling ripped off though, because it was only .86 cents.

Without Regret is the second book in the Pyte/Sentinel series and it focuses on Chris and Izzy. Their relationship is far from perfect and there are plenty of times that I would have loved to kick the crap out of Chris and fling my Kindle across the room, but R.L. Mathewson is such a genius she made me like him again. Action, sex, love, family...you've got it all.

Where was the editor on this? Sentences that made no sense throughout the book. And the character of Chris that I loved from the first book was turned into a selfish jerk who has almost no redeeming qualities. I could not see what Izzy saw in him. I skipped over the sex scenes just because I could not see that attraction. I thought he didn't deserve to have her give it up.
