Different than most Debbie Macomber books...the whole series. Yet, there are still the deep, real-life characters and she just spins each story in such a way, it takes blurred vision before bed to make you(me)put it away for the night. This one was a really WILD ride!!!

Outstanding! I loved this book as well as the first two of the series. The book grips you from the beginning to the end! Ms. Macomber is an amazing author, & I love her books! I was so sad for Jack when he lost Marcie, but of course that had to happen because Lorraine was waiting for him. This book had adventure, intrigue, love, romance, forgiveness, the love of God, redemption & was also a tearjerker & also the fates that entwine our lives. Awesome!

I have thoroughly enjoyed every book that I have read so far written by Debbie Macomber. I like romance novels as you can tell.

She writes love stories they are not books you have to hide and I respect her for that.

Disappointed in this book and in the reviews I read here. The main character was annoying, shallow and unbelievable. The characters were not well developed. The story was predictable. I found myself skimming through most of the boring dialog. Sorry Debbie....this one was just silly and a waste of my time and money.

This 3rd book in the "something different" series is about as bad as the first two. As the wife of a Soldier who honorably served 2 tours in Vietnam, I was dismayed that one of the principle characters was a deserter. I did not finish the book because of him being painted in such a positive light.

Series tend to bring the various characters closer to one another and the reader. Debbie managed to bring these characters back into each other's lives in unusual and interesting ways.

Friendships among macho men are rare, yet do in part to their wives helped to unite these men and their families in deep loving relationships.

Excellent Read.

Have you added another book to this. There needs to be one
more letting us see just how well they did raising their the children and into the empty nesting. That's just how much I enjoyed this series of books. I have yet to read any of your books that I could or would be able to put down. They have always kept me entertained

I think Debbie Macomber is a great writer, however, the Deliverance Company books were a disappointment because of all of the explicit sex situations taking place among the characters in the book. This series could have been interesting and exciting without all the sex she included. This certainly wouldn't fall under Christian fiction and I am disappointed in Debbie for writing this way.

The Sooner the Better by Debbie Macomber is a wonderful playful novel. It starts off extremely sad when Lorraine Dancy learns her mother died. When she gets the contents of her mothers safety deposit box she finds a letter from her father to her mother, written after the date when her father supposedly passed away. She goes down to Mexico to meet her father and gets mixed up in a crime which would land her in jail if it was not for her fathers quick thinking. He puts her on a boat and tells his friend Jack to take her to the United States. Lorraine is not happy about the arrangement, and neither is Jack. This is a good book. I would read it again.

I enjoyed reading this last book in the Deliverance Company trilogy. The love story of Lorraine and Jack was so compelling that I had to see how the ending would develop I am pleased it was a delightful happy ever after ending.
