A Shameless Little Con, the first book in a Harmless Series spinoff, was absolutely gripping. Every single aspect of Jane’s life has become unrecognizable. Five years ago, a devastating crime was perpetrated against Lindsay Bosworth, Jane’s best friend, and with this act, a sinister plan was set in motion. We thought we understood it all, but now, as we are thrust into Jane Borokov’s story, we have discovered that what we learned in the Harmless Series was just the tip of the iceberg. The people behind the curtain, along with the media, have decided that Jane played a big role in the events in the prior series. Regardless of being exonerated, the world, and those closest to her, believe she did it. Who needs the truth when we have information? Entertainment. Gossip. The stories we are told somehow become reality, even if they aren’t the truth. Jane has become one of the most hated people in the World. A security team is put in place to protect her from the threats she constantly receives, even if they don’t fully believe her innocence. I so desperately needed for someone to believe her, for someone to be on her side. I hope that by the end of this series, Jane can find some peace.
The way in which Raine told Jane's story, painted such a clear picture of her pain. Her torment, her heartbreak, and her isolation, it was consuming. The loneliness she felt broke my heart. This book had a visceral effect on me, it made my chest hurt and tears kept filling my eyes. She was so strong and so brave, and I loved her. She chose to fight and to keep telling her story, even if no one listened.
This story is incredibly complex. We are constantly being given so much information and misinformation, it’s impossible to know where the story will take us. Not only is the mystery fascinating but the effect that it has on the characters is too.
With Silas, we have an entirely different aspect of the story. While he complicates matters, he also simultaneously simplifies them as well. The attraction these two share for one another is unmistakable, the problem is, neither wants it. Silas’ allegiance lies with Drew and while he may be protecting Jane, he doesn’t necessarily believe her either. As they grow closer, we begin to see a different side to both of them. I felt lighter, like I could breathe. Unfortunately, nothing good ever lasts and Jane’s story is far from over.
In a story full of manipulation, deception, and intrigue, I was desperate for answers. Intense and complicated, I couldn’t put this book down. In addition to the storyline and characters, Raine’s writing was at its best. The beautiful writing and almost poetic prose, enveloped me, further drawing me into the story. Now I am left, dangling from the edge, dying for more.

OMG! My mind can't stop spinning and thinking about this story – especially the ending and what it means for the rest of the series.

First off, if you haven't read the Harmless Series yet, I'd suggest you do that first because it's an awesome series and the Shameless Series is somewhat a continuation of it in the grand scheme of things which would spoil you Lindsay's story if you plan on reading Harmless anyway. But you don’t necessarily need to have read it before this one because there’s enough explained in this book to get you caught up – almost too much for me, as I’ve read the Harmless Series and felt a bit like skimming to get through all the stuff I knew already (I didn't though, because on the other hand it was a nice little recap).

This new book is about Jane's life and the aftermath of all that happened so far to her, Lindsay and everyone else involved in the cat and mouse game, run by some unknown key player. It's definitely suspenseful with some twists and turns, and surprises you won't see coming.

The Story:
Although Jane was officially cleared of all the accusations, people still didn't believe in her innocence. It also didn't stop them from hating and threatening her, which is why the senator had security assigned to her. Though why did he care so much about her? Was he just trying to control her like everybody else? To have her out of the way and to steer clear of any reputational damage she could do?

Jane lost everything. Her mother was dead, she had no friends, no job and no home. The few belongings she had were confiscated. She was guarded 24/7 and the only place she could be alone was in the bathroom. So much for being innocent and feeling like a chess piece being placed where she couldn't do any more damage and put wherever she was needed to be without questioning. Jane was treated like a lab rat, like the enemy, some worthless person not worth a glance or second thought when it came to her comfort. All she got was hateful stares and more questions she had no answers to.

Thoughts:
I liked Jane a lot more than I've ever liked Lindsay, because she's more mature, which could stem from her very different upbringing in which she had more responsibility from early on and also had to fight her fights alone in society since her parents weren’t rich or powerful like all the other kids parents.
Contrary to Lindsay did Jane think first before she spoke, which on the other hand gave us a looooooot of thoughts from Jane in this book – since she also didn't really have anyone to talk to.

The book started out really good and had me captured for most of it, but between 10% to 60% the story had a slow progress and often felt a bit dragging because of Jane's endless thoughts about everything and nothing, which is why I couldn't give this book five stars, although I absolutely loved the last 40%. I was also slightly annoyed by how she was always on the go, taken back and forth all the time, which felt like turning in a circle for a while. Why not keep her close in one place easy accessible to save all that trouble of traveling around?!

So, what's to say about Silas?! Still waters run deep. Since he thought of Jane as the enemy, it took a long time for him to reveal something about himself. I actually enjoyed it a lot how he was Jane's tough, dangerous shadow and to see him slowly thaw to her when more evidence was revealed about her innocence.

I felt so sorry about what Jane went through; the danger, the fact that no one believed her and everybody thought she's the enemy, all the threats she's receiving without having anyone to turn to. She was all alone after her mother died and she couldn't seem to get any chance of a normal life back with all the threats against her. All the pressure on her mind and body weren't healthy and like a ticking bomb waiting to explode because one can hold on just for so long without breaking.

The ending wasn't a typical cliffhanger per se in my opinion, but it will definitely take you by surprise and have you wanting more.

Ultimately, I loved this book A LOT! and I can hardly await the release of book #2!!

*grabby hands* GIVE ME THE NEXT BOOK!!! NOW!!!! ... pretty please =P

This is an off-shoot of the Harmless series – which I will admit I have not read yet. I was still easily able to keep up with the plot and characters, and fully intend to remedy that lapse shortly by reading that series also.

An interesting study in whether the truth matters, and how public opinion can ruin a person’s life. Jane is accused of assisting in the kidnap and worse to her friend Lindsey. Silas is her 24/7 enforced security. The only thing worse than having the world hate you, is having the person who must remain close to you look at you with revulsion.

A complex web of intrigue is presented along with the repercussion to those involved. A delicious study of human nature, the current access to information (or misinformation) and those who bend the facts to meet their own ends.

Fascinating read!!!

I was enthralled with the storyline in A Shameless Little Con, this story is told completely in Jane's POV. I read this as a standalone and didn't feel like I was missing anything by not reading the Harmless story first. This story does end with a massive cliffhanger that I kind of expected since we know that this is a trilogy but we don't have to wait long for book 2. I loved the suspense of this book and couldn't put it down. There are still so many unanswered questions. I just want MORE!!!!

This was my first book by Meli Raine and I loved her writing style it was engaging and moved the book along perfectly. There is a definite villain and also some secondary characters that make you question their motives. Don't trust anyone! I can't wait to read more from this series and see what happens next.

Being a sacrifice lamb with everyone intended to chop and had a piece of you had become Jane’s reality. Treacherous, unworthy and dangerous, everybody thought that she was. How to prove she was another victim? Who could listen and trust her? A rollercoaster of emotions and circumstances that added to an exciting and intense search for the truth behind the conspiration against the Senator. Even I was thinking the worst of Jane so, I devoured this first book in one night. Intrigue, mortal situations, lot of suspense, a romance in the making and secrets well kept in a cliffhanger that left me with eyes open wide. I enjoy stories with lot of drama, strong issues and action and this first book was really good. Can’t miss the next one. Voluntarily reviewed this advance reader copy that left me eager for more.

A Shameless Little Con is a magnificent masterpiece that will devastatingly shatter and deliriously twist your very perception as you journey through the darkest regions of the ambition, greed, and power. You will learn about the exquisite pain and extreme isolation of being forced into the reaches of oblivion and holding onto the strains of sanity in a world turned against you. There is nothing more powerful and utterly debasing than being the center of shame, ridicule, and hate. How far can one person be made into a non-person by those who seek salacious rumors and do anything to feed an atmosphere of oppression and lies?

Jane may not have been a key player in the horrific scandal of Lindsay Bosworth, but she is still vilified as one of the monsters who dare infect their poison and filth on civilized society. Information has power and those who wield that information hold absolute power. They crawl through the walls to determine the best way to attack and hold you captive. They never attack you head on instead they hit you sideways and upside down, so that you will ever suspect them. Misdirection is their greatest weapon and they wield it with familiarity and grace. Only when one chooses to truly think about the information before them and weigh the truth from the lies are they finally able to claim a small measure of power.

The depth and purity in this story is astounding and breathtaking. There is nothing but the pure baring of the human soul to its very core. All pretention and niceties set aside for the seeking of truth and finding the very secrets of the soul. Only then can you figure out who you really are and what things in life are truly worth fighting for.

Meli Raine has captured my heart from her very first series, but this book is something very different and very special. It is pure magic that holds my very soul in its hands. It not only engages all of my senses but it ignites them on fire until they transcend to a new dimension. Raine is a true literary master of words that transform, of heart that feels and of spirit that enlightens. I have not yet found her equal, and I will cherish and savor every work of pure genius that she blesses me with. They make my heart lighter, my feet surer, and my mind freer.

This page turning suspense story will hold you captive from beginning to end with a wild ride of emotions and plot twists. This is the first of a trilogy for the Shameless series. It is a spin off to the Harmless trilogy. It can be read as a standalone series, but I do recommend the Harmless series if you want the full background between Lindsay and Jane's friendship and the stress between them now. This book does have a cliffhanger and it is meant to be the first part of a full trilogy of books.

Jane has been rolled up in the scandal of Lindsay and Drew's sex victimization by a trio of male "friends" and the three female "friend" witnesses who back up that their part was voluntary and not a drug induced rape. Her mother was implicated as turning over Lindsay to the same trio for a second victimization, imprisoned and died while imprisoned. Jane is now the social pariah of the world. On every hate list and getting death threats by the dozens daily. She has been poked, prodded, investigated and found innocent by every alphabet government agency and committee you can think of. She is free, but followed every waking hour by guards for her own protection. Silas, in particular, is her in view all the time but bathroom breaks shadow. None of them believe she is innocent, public popular opinion doesn't believe she is innocent, Lindsay and Silas believe Drew, who is also certain she isn't innocent.

How does one live with all the shame of the world on her shoulders when she knows for a fact she really is innocent? How can you convince someone you didn't do something but to keep retelling your story hoping someone will believe? How can you live with never having any moment to yourself, no say in your own life or how it will go, the hatred of hundereds of thousands of people who have never even met you? When will a person crack under all that stress and just give in and quit trying to exonerate herself?

Follow this fast paced book through Jane's point of view. She has a whole lot to deal with and almost no way to get any answers she needs. Start it when you have some time though, I can guarantee you won't want to put it down.

Before reading this series, you will need to read the Harmless Trilogy if you haven't yet. At the end of the Harmless Trilogy, we read as Lindsay finally got her revenge on the three guys who had raped, tortured and videotaped her five years earlier. We also learned that Anya - Jane's mother was supposedly working with Nolan - the opposition and had played a part in this sick and twisted game. Now with Anya dead, everyone is pointing fingers at Jane - Anya's daughter. The thing is Jane is innocent, yes she did some things she wasn't proud of but she did it to save Lindsay, not harm her. Now Jane is under the protection of Senator Bosworth's Secret service agent Silas Gentian. Somebody definitely wants her to be seen as guilty, but as Jane gets closer to the truth. She discovers that like the three men, the three supposed friends were blackmailed and now one of the moments after talking to Jane about it is dead. The ending leaves on the reveal of who Jane's father is and Lindsay's maternity and paternity parents. I have to admit I did see this coming, but the book finishes on a cliffhanger and now that the truth is revealed I wonder what way the book will go as we learn one of the girls is Senator Bosworth's and the other a mystery.

A Shameless Little Con picks up months after The Harmless Series ends.

Having read and loved The Harmless series, I still had lingering questions and thoughts floating from that completion.  I was not ready to leave Lindsay and Drew so am very happy they play pivotal roles in Jane’s personal story.

Jane was one character that left me with many questions hanging over her and also personally Monica Bosworth the Senators Wife and Lindsay’s mother.  Monica is as vicious as ever in this first installment of this trilogy.

So many secrets and such mystery surround Jane and her mother and their connection to the political arena.  Upon the first few chapters, I was on Jane’s side wanting to support her.  This story spans just a few days as so much is happening with threats against Jane and also other members of the Bosworth group.

A Shameless Little Con finishes at a particular moment that will totally change the course of Jane’s story going forward.  Silas’s personal story with Kelly is heartbreaking and I hope my wishes come true for a future with Jane as there is a slow burn of attraction building.

Senator Bosworth does not make much of an impact in this installment as he is busy running for President.  I remain with many unanswered questions about Senator Nolan Corning and those three boys.  I have suspicions about his motives now considering the ending of this installment.

It is such a riveting read with drama, secrets, and emotions.  I felt such exhaustion for Jane to be continually alert to threats from inside and outside of the Bosworth arena.

This book briefly at the start rehashes major parts of the Harmless Trilogy.  To really get into the political backstory and drama I highly recommend reading The Harmless Trilogy first.

A Shamless Little Con (Shameless #1) by Meli Raine

The world hates Jane, and I don't mean as in the "woe is me, she's having a bad day" kind. I meant literally...the world. For the past six months, Jane has been arrested, interrogated, treated like trash, reviled, and made to feel as if she's nothing. She's already been tried and found guilty in the eyes of everyone, even those she once considered friends. Her claims of innocence scoffed at, even though they're true, except she can prove that yet because someone else will make that decision. Until then, Jane will continue to suffer in silence, hiding her emotions, mentally screaming how unfair everything is, and all this while mourning her mom, Anya, the only parent she's ever known, the woman who was found guilty of turning Lindsay, Jane's friend and a senator's, Anya's long-time boss, daughter, to the bad guys.

Even Silas, Jane's new bodyguard as of three days ago, is repulsed by her, believing her guilty. Jane is close to the edge of her sanity and knows she needs to escape before she permanently loses herself. When she's shown an ounce of kindness, and from Lindsay no less, the hope that ignites in her heart, while tiny, is enough to keep her going.

When it seems Jane is finally getting through to Silas about her innocence, and a mutual sexual charge seems to glow between them, any peace Jane may have found is destroyed when Silas is informed new "information" implicates Jane.

As Jane's situation results in her and Silas being in constant close proximity to one another, the attraction they both feel becomes harder to resist, as does the feeling for Silas that Jane truly is innocent. Which would mean not only does she deserve a huge apology, but that she's also a victim.

Will Jane's name ever be cleared? Will she ever get her life back even if it is? Was Jane's mother innocent as well? Who set them up and why? What will happen between her and Silas? Could they possibly find something worthwhile throughout all this tragedy? Who is behind everything that's happened?

One-click now and follow along as two people, brought together by less than ideal circumstances, discover some times silver linings do exist.- By Elizabeth

Who can you trust when the whole world believes you’re a monster? That’s the reality facing Jane now. As she fights nameless, faceless, accusers in an effort to prove her innocence, her life hangs in the balance because proving she didn’t do it might just uncover who really did. I’m used to reading the wacky fun published by this alter-ego’s author self. This is quite different in all of the best ways. It’s deep, dark, twisted, and complex. There’s moments of the author’s signature humor, such as a turbulent encounter in an airplane bathroom, but they serve to highlight how gritty the rest of the story is. I found myself nearly bawling at the unfairness of Jane’s plight. Even Silas’ family situation broke my heart. It has an abrupt cliff-hanger ending that’s left me gnashing my teeth in frustration, anxious to get my hands on the next book.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.

With this being my first read by this particular author, I am kinda sad that I didn't know this was the continuation story of a character from another series. While Jane Borokov was abducted the same time as Lindsay, the Harmless series was Lindsay and Drew's story and the beginning of this whole crazy cat and mouse game that these people find themselves in. Even though Jane's story starts in the Harmless series, you do not have to read it if you don't want to because Meli Rains does a wonderful job of informing the audience about the previous drama.
(But, just so you know, this reader will be purchasing and reading Lindsay's story.?)
This story is primarily about the aftermath that occurred after Harmless and the abduction. Jane's life is turned upside down because it is speculated that she had something to do with the abduction and everyone hates her. Even though she is cleared of all accusations, she is still a social pariah and the cernter of ridicule because the public loves to point fingers at someone, shame someone for the crime, and Jane is at the forefront. Jane returns to a life filled with nothing: no mother, no friends, no personal property, no trust, and a lot of death treats. Even though Drew does not trust her, he doesn't want to see her dead, so he assigns Silas Gentian to watch her 24/7. By the way, Silas doesn't trust her either, but he is willing to do his job and keep her alive.
Of course you know with these two being in constant contact with one another, sparks are bound to fly, but the book is in a slow burn kind of mood when it comes to Jane and Silas. The steamy bits of this book weren't steamy enough for me, but I can definitely say this is a well written suspense that will have you turning page after page until you reach the CLIFFHANGER!??
(Yeah, I knew it was coming but I still hated it)

First if you have not read the Harmless series it would help if you read it first, since it will give you more of the story and how Jane is involved in the Shameless series. You can read this without reading the first series but I feel like you will be missing so much to this story.

Jane is caught up in the whole incident that happened in the Harmless series. She is trying to prove her innocents of any wrong doing, but the government has other plans. She can not go anywhere without being harassed or her life threatened. This is where Silas comes into the picture. He doesnt trust that Jane had nothing to do with this and he lets her know from the very beginning and has lots of attitude towards her though he actually is there to protect her.

You will feel for Jane all thru this book and will hurt for her. She has lost everything of her life, job, home, money, and her Mom. Nobody believes her story and she is just so tired. As the story goes Silas starts to see that there is more to Jane than what he originally thought, though he still doesnt trust her completely.

Just as you get into this story there is real twist that you will not believe. Unfortunately we now have to wait for book two to see where this new twist will take us, I loved the Harmless series and I am sure I am going to love this series as much if not more. Meli can really keep you on the edge of your seat.

Genre: Romance - Suspense
Stand-Alone: Nope
Part of a Series: Yes - Book one of the Shameless Trilogy which is connect/takes place after the Harmless Trilogy with a different main character but interconnecting characters
POV: Jane
Steam Level: Slow burn
4/5

I started this book yesterday morning and if I hadn't had to go into the office I probably would have finished it by the afternoon. Full disclosure: I haven't read the Harmless trilogy (I will now, that's for sure) and was as a little worried going in that I'd be completely lost. I wasn't though. In fact the was that Meli Raine caught new readers like me up was creative flowed well into the current story, not breaking the tension and flow. It was creative and definitely a mark of a great author. A Shameless Little Con was the perfect mix of action and intrigue with a spark of spice and humor. And, the cliff-hanger isn't too terrible (though I did see if coming). It stops at a logical point in the story, enough to leave you intrigued and wondering but not smack dab in the middle of the action, making it the type of cliffhanger I'm okay with. I look forward to reading more of Meli Raine in the future.

I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Wow! This was full of suspense. It caused emotional overload. From the first page I knew I wasn’t going to be able to put it down. Meli Raine is on my radar. I really look forward to seeing were she takes this series. I was blown away by the plot twist.. with every page there was something that I never saw coming. What a cliffhanger! My mind is spinning from trying to figure out the clues.

Jane is under protection due to her implications of a crime. Lindsey and Jane have been friends for many years, but one night changed everything. People who they thought were friends did the unspeakable. Jane has become slashed all over social media with daily death threats. Jane is trying to prove her innocence, but no one believes her. The government officials have poked and probed Jane. The corruption, lies and deceit play a role throughout.
When your life is all over the media, you can’t hide forever… How long before someone will break? Jane just wants her life back, but will that ever happen or will she still be public enemy?

Meli Raine continues with her political/suspense romance with her Shameless series. Book one, A Shameless Little Con introduces us to Jane, who is public enemy number one in her ex-friend Lyndsay’s kidnap and attack years earlier. Jane has been arrested, interrogated, and shamed by the news and social media, along with receiving death threats. Now she’s being given bodyguard services 24/7 by Lyndsay’s father, the Senator. Though Lyn’s husband Drew, who owns the service hates Jane and doesn’t believe she’s innocent. Neither does her bodyguard Silas.
But after a series of incidents happen, Silas starts to believe her, even though he doesn’t want to. This was an absolute page-turner, and I seriously couldn’t put this one down! I haven’t read the other series yet, but first thing I did after finishing this was to go out and buy them. I’m also on pins and needles waiting for the rest of this series!

I found myself captivated by the first book in this series, the twists and turns, the mystery, the danger all with two intense characters I couldn’t walk away from. A shameless little con brings us Jane’s story and it’s one that will be equally as thrilling and encompassing as Lindsay’s.

I found myself equal parts Hating and loving Simon in this book which I think just added to the drama and angst. I felt a distinct connection with Jane from page one, a strong desire to see her find some sort of good in her current life.

As with the Harmless trilogy, this book delivers a lot of information within its chapters but also leads one to ask more questions as well. Trying to figure out all the how’s, what’s and why’s is just one way the story will grab you. I’m looking forward to seeing just where this story is heading with book two of the series which will hopefully also give me a little more information to puzzle together.

OMG! This series contains all the heart-pounding suspense, intrigue and sexual tension that Meli Raine's Harmless series had. Just when you think you've got something figured out, the author throws a strong twist in to dispel your theory and keep you on the edge of your seating tapping page after page in your e-reader! If you haven't read the Harmless series, although it's not necessary to appreciate this new series, it's something that will help bridge the time before the second book, A Shameless Little Lie comes out, since this story ends on a cliffhanger! You won't regret starting either series! Can't wait!

What a book hangover!! I am more than looking forward to the next in the series. What a cliffhanger at the end!!. It is highly suggested that you read the Harmless series first.
Lindsay is just a shell of herself after everything that she is being put through. Her mother is gone, she is constantly haunted by the past, the bodyguards, her life being taken away. I am not sure how she is still standing. Silas, I could not stand him with at first but you will grow to love him and then hate him again. I get where he is coming from.
The ups and downs in this story will just suck you in. I am just flabbergasted with everything that came out in this story. I don't know which way is up, which is a great thing. you have no clue where the story is going.

OMG the cliffhanger ending in A Shameless Little Con has me on pins and needles waiting for the second book in the series!

If you haven't read the Harmless Series, you'll want to be sure to read those first as it is a continuation of Lindsay's story.

In A Shameless Little Con, Jane has been cleared of all wrong doing in what has happened to Lindsay, yet she is still being treated as if she has done something wrong. There are so many twists and turns in this story, which is full of emotion.

Jane is falling for her bodyguard Silas, who is slowing letting Jane into his life, but is ever so quick to put that wall up that puts her back as the client he is protecting.

Will Jane get her HEA? Will we find out the truth in book #2 after that shocking cliffhanger?

Loved the book! Read The Harmless series and though you don't have to read it you should just because it is so good. That being said I hate cliffhangers and having to wait for the next installment for almost 2 months. I will usually wait until I get them all and read them all at once but since I received an ARC for this one I could not wait and read it in one sitting pretty much. Hated Monica in the Harmless series and still hate her in this one so far (she will have to do lots to redeem herself for me). I absolutely loved Silas and how sweet he was and how he was changing his mind about Jane. I felt so sorry for Jane even though I think she is a strong woman and will come through this fine especially with Silas' help. Can't wait for the next 2 books!!!! READ BOTH SERIES YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY!

This is a spinoff from the Harmless Trilogy that I thoroughly enjoyed reading, and I know this series will be just as good if not better. Jane has been shamed and convicted by the media that she is guilty of what she was accused of, even though she was cleared. She even receives death threats from people who want to hurt her. She is determined to prove her innocence, especially to Silas, who has been assigned to protect her and also believes she is guilty. This book is full of drama, suspense, and twists and turns that keep you flipping the pages as fast as you can, and then the cliff hanger. Can't wait for the next book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. I also purchased my own personal copy.

This is A Shameless Little Con written by Meli Raine. This new series is a continuation of the Harmless series and will finally be answering some of our lingering questions from there. BUT Meli Raine is crafty and has introduced more questions than she has answered! Poor Jane is stuck in the middle of all of the chaos with both sides trying to harm her. Silas is her bodyguard. Woohoo! He is also hot AF! This is one book that will draw you in, drag you through the mud and leave you guessing! It’s impossible not to empathize with Jane and all that she is forced to endure. It’s a great book and now I will go sit in the corner and mumble to myself until the next one comes out. Happy reading!! Well played Ms Raine! Well played!!

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I love the first book of this series. It kept me hooked and I was able to finish very quickly. There is a cliffhanger in this books since it is part of a series and you will need to read this book before reading the next in the series. I loved the two main characters Jane who is condemned by the public for something she didn’t do and Silas who is her body guard sent to protect her life. There is a lot of drama and nothing is what it seems. There is heat between Silas and Jane but will they act on it is the question. This is a must read and I am so excited to read the next in the series.

A Shameless Con is a political, romantic suspense that will literally knock you on your arse. Meli Raine has spun an intricate web of lies, betrayal, murder, romance with a little touch of humour in this action packed drama. Twists and turns around every corner that you did not see coming.

The shower scene was so funny. Love Alice. What a hoot.

The characters keep you guessing as tp who the culprit is. Your emotions are everywhere.

Wow! What a cliffhanger!! Unbelievable!

I can't wait for the next installment. Shameless Little Lie. Then I'm going back to read the Harmless Series.
