DP has written a SyFy Novel about Quantum Space as defined in the theories in Quantum Physics. In one way I felt I was reading an Either C Clarke SyFy novel, but in this instance the reality of Quantum Physics
overrode the SyFy story line. I think this novel was written for a college student with a solid math background. However, that being said, this novel is an excellent read for the genre.....One other note.......I read the book three times and still had to use my books in physics and computerized Quantum Physics to understand the terminology. It was like going back to college again.....ER

Intelligent, knowledgeable and a good enough writer to keep me engaged.
Reasonable, informed interpolations of what might be, valid insights into the limits of interstellar travel and communication.
I'm impressed, and look forward to the rest of the series.

The author met my expectations. I purchased the book entirely on the nature of the topics covered. Good job at creating a world around our spooky universe. I do believe God created and is the creator. The book the God particle got my interest initially.

I've been reading SciFi for nearly 50 years. All of the originals. And while Dune certainly made the grade, and I read and re-read the original Foundation Trilogy countless times as a youth, Quantum Space is the book I always wanted to write. Just a tremendous mix of fact and believable fiction rolled into a quick moving story. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Only regret....I'm drumming my fingers awaiting the second volume.

The author has done an absolutely amazing job of using real science (as opposed to science FICTION) as the foundation of this story. Although science is indeed streached (at least as we currently understand that science), the stretching remains very close to plausable. Great read.

Douglas Phillips wrote a captivating read that made highly theoretical concepts intelligible. The story was well paced and I really enjoyed the characters. The ideas Phillips brought out were not only original ( I wish I had come up with them), his descriptions of how we might explore the quantum dimensions made sense even for the scientifically semi-literate such as myself.

"Hard" science fiction is based on real science and an exceptional imagination. This is a gwonderful example. Very well done mix of real science and imaginary science. The author first explains the actual science and imagination leaps from there making the ficticious part quite plausable. Well written , very good character development, and frankly one of the best science fiction stories I have read and I have been reading them for almost 30 years. If you like good science fiction based on real science you will enjoy this book. Highly recommended. Very good book.

I really liked the science in this book. The author took what is known and made a logical leap forward. Very believable and bringing some really innovative concepts.
I just felt sorry that the action took place in the 2nd largest particle accelerator (Fermilab) and not on the first (CERN), especially considering that the story and the first breakthrough does start in CERN. That tendency towards Fermilab felt too "americanized" for me and non-sensical.

The main characters are presented good enough so that the reader can connect with them.
The story is intriguing and has quite a fast pace so that you won't get bored.
The science this book is based on is strong enough.
I can't wait for the next book in the series.

A very enjoyable read. Some really fascinating ideas from the the quantum world find their way into our macro universe, through an interesting storyline and characters. I consume most of my reading through Audible these days, and the audio version is very well done. Looking forward to the Audible version of Quantum Void.

Good. kept my attention all the way through. Some creative sci-fi ideas in the story line. Not a great book, though. Some of the writing struck me as stiff or verbose or oddly phrased. However it kept me all the way.

An amazing story that blends reality and fiction so tight together. As a casual reader occasionally looking out for updates to the of the string theory and extra dimensions, I couldn't not tell where real science ended and fantasy began. This is one of the most sensible story I've read. It is populated by sensible people making sensible decisions. I love it, can't wait to read the next installment!

Quantum Space is one of those books that come along in a while that makes you think as much as it entertains. Your mind quickly visualizes the story as it unfolds and you will find yourself trying to work the science out in your head. A great read.

I've learned whatever physics, astronomy, science if the universe from reading science fiction. This almost gives me a glimpse of string theory. I'll probably have to read it again and will definitely read the next book.

This was the BEST "science" book ever! Everything was explained so well it just flowed. Best of all, real was separated from fiction very succinctly in the afterward. I was actually SAD a little more than the Higgs Boson was fiction! It reas like a truly believable story! Loved it!

Just finished Quantum Space; the best Sci-Fi I've read in many years. Reads like my favorites; Azimov, Pohl, Bear. Story line is believable and seems doable now. Starving for more; I cannot wait until Quantum Energy arrives.

Interesting, fast-paced. Jumps back and forth, much like a Dan Brown story. Interesting ideas, the author spends a great deal of time at the end explaining the real science from his fabrications for the story.

Good book despite the fact the characters don't seem to have much background and they don't really come to life. The story is what carries this book and it was interesting to think about such esoteric things as quarks & Higgs particles!

This book is great! A pleasant surprise is the last chapter which describes how much of the plot is existing science, what is speculation and what the author just made up. Believable, fun and educational.

Very interesting book, some what over my head, but a great read. Based some what one fact , and some science fiction. I just bought Quantum Void, the second book in this series, can't wait to read it.

The best science fiction, IMHO, has a basis in the realities of current scientific understandings and extrapolates application possibilities and implications which form the story path. Phillips does this here flawlessly. The reader is instantly caught up in a mystery thriller where the science of infintesimal space meets the macro world we percieve.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book because the characters were believable, not off the shelf. The Interlacing of science & fiction was seamless. I thought I would skip the epilogue but my parsimonious nature convinced me to begin reading it and I found it it's behind the scenes perspective filled in questions I should have had.

I enjoyed this book.
science based (really), mystery, actual places, flowing dialogue, some social commentary; everything that makes for an enjoyable read. Should be read intermittently, with thoughtful meandering, to better enjoy (savor) the content.

The story pulls you into the learning process, and it's kinda mind-boggling. I'm ready for Quantum Void, already bought it, but I may first check out the Fermi Lab link and the other link at the end of the book.
