I have read the entire series (Last Riders, Greer Family, Predators etc etc) I have loved them! This book wasn't written by Jamie Begley! Its no where on the same level as what Jamie has written previously. She might have had input but if JB wrote it, I would be shocked. ALOT of editing errors, wrong words used in sentences, typos etc (I don't look the way you look at Shade....) (the conservation was going from bad to worse). What happened to the beta readers or the editor???

The MC characters were all changed from Strong MEN to pushover - whimpy boys. The story jumps around from issue to issue without a smooth lead in. There is alot going on, and from paragraph to paragraph it just jumps sporadically so if you aren't paying attention you lose portions of the story. I started and stopped this book 4 times, it was so hard to read, normally for a JB book you don't want to put it down, this time I just couldn't force myself to pick it up but the price she charges for the book I finished it and now wish I hadn't spent the money.

-Crazy B* fell all over Calder way to fast, it might have been a front but they partner for the treasurer hunt and wham they are in bed and in love - really?
-for a 30yr old woman (Crazy B) her temper fit in the police car was that of a 6 year old, really?
-When Bear slit Lucky's throat the MC clubs let Bear live and just handed him over to the police? Again Really? I know JB has been turning the --Last Riders softer and softer in her recent books but letting Bear live??? what happened to the Viper and Shade who we all know and love?
-The book had so much going on and parts just seemed to come out of nowhere and head off to nowhere - parts seem to be left hanging.....
-the 70 year old Deven drugged Calder and put him in his car trunk without anyone seeing it. HOW?? a 70 year old man moved a BIG Calder, how did he get Calder out of the trunk and into the house - Calder would have been drugged, even with Candi's help there is no way the old man could have carried Calder into the house. The whole sex aspect when Calder was taken wasn't necessary to spell out even as drugged as he was a little blue pill wasn't going to help that much, if Candi had mixed the pills to drug him up and with a little blue pill, he would have been worse than just a little drugged. Check your medical research a bit more!
-Hopefully she won't drag Gavin's rehab out very long, it started last book and touched in this book, I know he went through alot but don't drag it out longer.....and PLEASE don't get descriptive with what he went through!
-the who issue with Taylor - Crazy B hinted that she was trouble - told the Last Riders to watch her - watch what? what are the last Riders supposed to do - why not just confront Taylor or tell the LR what she saw and end that chapter? was it left open to come back again? please no.
-When you have a treasure hunt, since when does everyone travel in a pack to search for clues? everyone figures it out at the same time and end up in the same place for every clue? Really??? Altho I did like the way CB/Calder handled it in the end.
-Even after Candi tries to blackmail Stud and Calder - she is the last one they finally think of when Calder is missing?
-CB and Calder were not the perfect couple - to big of gap in their trust, he spends the first portion of the book kissing up to her anger, then ok partner with me in the treasure hunt and he agrees with all of her demands how about making him a MAN and having him act like one.
-I about gagged when all 3 MC presidents kissed Greer's butt when they asked him to do the hide/seek.

Way to many 5 star "I love it" reviews, even as much as I love the many series and this author - I will give an honest review and not just kiss the Author's back side. I honestly can't recommend this book - it isn't on the high level JB has written previously - her daughter also writes but on a more younger level - if the daughter wrote this one, it would explain all the inconsistencies and childish characters - absolutely horrible.
