This was different from Harper Sloan's other books. This was about Willow and her self image issues. She has been dealt a pretty crappy hand and struggles to move past it. When she meets Kane he sees her in whole different light. With Kane's help and standing along side Willow we get to see her become the person she was meant to be.
There were even a few twists and turns in the book that I was not expecting. I love her friends Eddie and Kirby, they were a solid support group for Willow. The story flowed well and there were things that were revealed right up to the end of the book. I really enjoyed this one.

Something new and different from Harper Sloan. Perfectly Imperfect is one of those stories that you cannot help but fall in love with. From the first paragraph you'll fall in love with Willow and be rooting her on.
It's so much ... more.
Not only does Willow captivate you but it's such a personal story, one that so many women can relate to. Inspiring and breaking. This story hits home for me and completely blew me out of the water.
This is hands down a powerhouse novel. You know that it's personal to the author too. Her emotions are there for the taking. If you aren't left raw then we aren't reading the same book.

This was such an emotional book for me. Willow reminds me of myself with what she has been through. Willow is a very strong person and has a very good support system which helps a lot. This book helped me to realize that you can get past your issues and move forward, it can be hard but it can be done. Kane is such a great guy and he seems so selfless and really wants to help and really cares about Willow. These two have some obstacles to face, but do so together and head on. Willow's two best friends are awesome, Kirby and Eddie! This is a definite must-read book!

Sweet, heartfelt story. Willow Tate has endured years of verbal abuse by her so called family. It isn't until Kane Masters enters her life and gives her the confidence to see herself as beautiful. Kirby & Eddie are a comic duo and the best friends any of us would want to have.
As for Willow's so called family, I never so much wanted to reach into a book and slap the crap out of 3 people so much in my life! They frustrated the heck out of me!!
As much as I enjoyed the story, and I really did, I found it to be typical in the sense of the overweight woman who lost all confidence, gets the hot guy and karma bites the ones who've wronged her.

Oh my god...this story. I found myself constantly relating to Willow and her body image/self esteem issues. There were many points in the book where I thought to myself "I've said that or I've done that!" It really brings to light how we women torture ourselves in an effort to be accepted and that only by accepting OURSELVES can be really be free. I recommend this book to all women.

This book was amazing! I really loved the premise behind it. Willow is just like most of us, she's been beaten down a lot in life and made to feel like she isn't worth much. She has self loathing that rivals many but she is able to overcome it and reveal an inner strength that is just beautiful. There is also a whole lot of sexual tension that added to the story to take it to a whole other level! I LOVED Kane and the way he built Willow up but mostly I loved how she was able to really find herself in the midst of wreckage and grow into a confident and beautiful woman then we all need to find in ourselves!

I usually love Harpers books. This just wasn't for me. I was fully aware of the body issues to be discussed in this and I put off reading it because I was scared it would be a little to much. I didn't want to think badly of any of Harpers books. Unfortunately I was right, the constant thinking poorly of herself was just too much. It could be that I cant completely relate, but that doesn't usually put me off. This was just a little unbelievable of a story for me, the hot super star actor falling for the chubby girl who hates her own appearance. I will continue to love Harpers books and I cant wait for the next one! :)

Don't we all hate something about ourselves, whether it's our weight, height, hair or whatever?! This was a good story with a good message. The main thing that didn't sit well with me in this story is the way the h continued to allow the verbal and emotional abuse from the people she called family. I was glad to see her overcome that. It took her most of the book to do that, but it finally happened. This is an enjoyable book, but it's not for everyone.
3.5 ⭐️ for me.

I absolutely loved this book. I think I highlighted quotes from this book more than any other. I devoured it and couldn't put it down. The message behind it is so true. There is no real perfect and you should love yourself for who you are.
Watching Willow go from being fearful to being brave was amazing. She did it with the strength and support of her friends. Some days you have a brave Willow day and sometimes you don't, but you gotta keep on trying to get through your days. Kane comes in and is a big believer in Willow. Kirby and Eddie are great supportive best friends. I'd love to hang out with these guys for a girls night.

I think this book speaks to the insecure woman inside every single one of us. It's easy for us to believe that little voice in our head that tells us that we are less than. We are less than beautiful, less than smart and less than perfect. It's amazing how much difference it makes to have one person in your corner believing in your potential. What other people believe to be our imperfections, the person who loves us can see as our greatest assets. I loved the message in this story.

No matter from what aspect you read PI, you finish it a changed person. If you have struggled with the same issues as Willow then you feel hope, strength, and self acceptance. If you haven't struggled with self image then it gives you an insight on how that battle can literally break someone. A true understanding wrapped up in a completely beautiful story. Willows journey is just amazing and Harper Sloan executed it like only Harper Sloan could have.
Kane Masters. EVERY gal should be lucky enough to find a Kane. (Luckily, I'm married to mine!) Someone who sees thru every flaw, every affliction, and does it in the most beautifully accepting way. Then loves you because of them.
Harper Sloan, you have a true gift of writing. I will always one-click a book of yours!

This book was very positively charged. The kind of struggles Willow went through, the things placed on her by others as well as herself, are very true to life. This made the story relatable.
The narrators did an excellent job of bringing out the emotional feelings the two main characters had. This was my first listen to Shirl Rae and she paired well with Zachary Webber, one of my favorite narrators.

I hardly know where to begin. Harper Sloan has knocked it out of the park! Willows story is filled heatbreak and betrayal, hope and love, weakness made strong and once in a life time love. It is the story of two imperfect people who find perfection in their perfect love. Willow has been through so much, but she learns to shine with strength. Kane gives her his unconditional love and helps her stand on her own. There is humor and love and it is oh so hot and steamy but it is also an inspiration for those of us who suffer from a poor self image. Thank Harper for making this one of my favorite books ever!

#perfectlyimperfect! This is the book that knocks you on your butt with the truth and reality of life! Image issues is a problem that many deal with but nobody wants to talk about, to bring to the light the beauty in the problems we all find in our selves. I love that Harper wrote this book because it is so near and dear to my heart. The tears that flowed as I read about self hate, family disgust, and all out meanness, and the turn around, the self love... Just wow!!!!
Thank you to everyone who encourages self love instead of hate!!!!

I think almost anyone can relate to Willow. Everything that she's gone through in her life would make you question your feelings and thoughts of others. I know that I related to what Willow has gone through with her body image and to this day I have to remind myself that I LOVE myself no matter what anyone thinks. You will feel what Willow feels when reading this book. I am so happy that Harper wrote this book. It still has that extra sexiness mixed in with romance and strong emotions. It reminded me of Toni Aleo's book Taking Shots where body image and emotions play a big role in the female's role.

Loved this book. Loved how it handled how so many of us view ourselves. Loved how it went against Hollywood and the press of how we all should look. At times I wanted to take Willow in my arms and shelter her from this cruel world. But she proved to be stronger than her family and came through in the end. And what a cruel family she had. Gotta love karma! This book will pull at your heartstrings but it's worth it. And how can you not love Kane. What a romantic! To find someone to love you to that extent is my eternal wish! *sigh*

Liked this book because not only was the main character not a perfect size 4 with a flat stomach, she could have been me or one of my friends. I hope the message of this book comes across loud and clear to anyone suffering from self-doubt or low self-esteem - no one is perfect, but this is what makes great love great; 2 imperfect people coming together to make each other feel like perfection and that learning to love yourself is more important than anything you could do for yourself, even if it is a work in progress.

The beginning of Willow and Kane's story is difficult to read. The verbal and mental abuse that Willow endured through the years.
I'm glad she had friends in her corner that were able to help her move past her destructive family and break free into a new reality.
I don't think Kane could have been any sweeter. He was a charmer and he knew it.
I liked the storyline between these two and also the storyline with Mia and his family.
While I liked the story it seemed to drag a bit in the beginning then raced in the end.

The underlying message of this book is an important and powerful truth. I loved the idea behind Willows character and what she was going through. The downside was the writing and the main plot points. I felt like the author could have gone a lot deeper with the subject matter and left out a lot of the sex and repetition in the characters feelings. Again loved the idea but the execution left something to be desired.

4 Stars - Like a fairy tale, the handsome wildly popular movie star Kane sees Willow is instantly intrigued. Years later he feels the same connection and pursues her. Willow is curvy and has to fight poor self esteem and self image. She's confused that Kane wants her but he slowing breaks down her walls and help her love herself. The only hiccup is that the media had made Kane and his good friend Mia a couple already and Mia was pregnant with speculation that Kane is the father. I was nice to see Kane's POV in how he felt about Willow.

I wanted to thank you for writing this book. Like you stated there are so many people out there that have Willow inside them. When I read this book I saw myself as Willow, not believing in herself, no self confidence and most of all not pretty or beautiful. Now at t h e age of 65 and being where I want to be its a fantastic feeling. I'm a confident woman.
Thank you so much for writing this book. It was one of the best book's I've read.

Harper Sloan has a way with words. Her plots always pull you in, her characters have depth and the growth that they accomplish from beginning to end is awe-inspiring. Perfectly Imperfect spoke to me; I saw so much of myself in Willow. Her story is one that absolutely needed to be told and Harper Sloan did it in such a way that I instantly felt a connection with Willow, the heroine, the likes of which I had never experienced before. I absolutely loved every second of this beautiful tale of perseverance, strength, love and self-acceptance. ❤❤❤ #iAmWillow

Ok so Firstly, I really enjoyed this book. I loved Kane Masters and I really loved his relationship with Willow, how their relationship developed, how he became her strength until she could be her own, and how she was able to turn and be strength for Mia when she needed it.
Secondly, Thank You Harper Sloan, I think we all have a bit of Willow inside of us, because of one thing or another, but Thank you for sharing your Willow and her journey with us so that we in turn have the strength to continue and make it through our journey. Excellent Job.

This was a great story about the pressure that women feel to be perfect. But no one is perfect. Willow spent a lot of her life letting other make her feel less than perfect by the people that were suppose to love her. She has in encounter with Kane Masters on one of the worst days of her. Kane has never forgotten the first time he laid eyes on Willow and he vowed that she would not let her slip away again. He thought she was beautiful with curves and all, and he was determined to prove it to her.

Perfectly Imperfect is....well, it's perfect! I haven't read any of Harper's other books just yet, but hearing about this one, I just had to read it. I am sure every woman can relate to what Willow went through, myself included, but for different reasons. To see that she picked herself up and had confidence in herself really hit home for me. Kane finding her and falling in love with her was the icing on the cake! This book will have you laughing, crying, and feeling angry at times, but it it so worth it in the end.

Believe this could have been something beyond awesome but the over the top drama was what turned me off. The situation with the stepdad and half sister was just too much and truly wasn't need to get the point across. Also and why the need for Mia's situation? I can go on and on but if you're reading this you get my point. This authors books are always a hit and miss for me. This may be a total hit for someone else just not for me.

Harper has managed to weave a story through my mind as I read this. I felt every emotion that flowed between Willow and Kane and when they came together I cheered with victory. For anyone who has ever felt like they weren't good enough, I love that this book is out there. Embrace your beauty and be unique, because God made us each different for a reason.
Thank you Harper for making ever person who reads this, a little stronger.

This book touches everybody in one way or the other. Everybody has had, or does have
Willow inside themselves. Harper has away of touching on feelings that at some point
everyone has and most overcome. But some don't. Hopefully this book will help
show that it is possible to find and love who you are. I am so glad Harper had the
guts to write this book. It has the girl not being the perfect model, and has flaws
that distinguish her but she finds herself and her man.

I loved everything about this book. It really touched me and I could relate to the storyline a bit. Harper did an amazing job with this book and this was a great book that I think everyone should read this book male and females. It shows you to love yourself the way you are no matter what others might think of you or what others might say about you. The only thing that matters is how you see yourself and what you think of yourself.

I thought this story was great, the type that needs to be told more often. I really enjoyed the characters and the transition, they were real. I thought the writing wasn’t quite as good as the story (hence I went with 4 instead of 5 stars), but still enjoyable in that area.

As another person who has had a "Willow" living inside of her for so many years, to have these fears read out into the world along with that hurt and pain is so freeing! Willow Tate is inspiring and deserves 100 stars! This book is relatable in a sense that most women suffer from body image issues, but the message is clear that we can all overcome it we just need to find the strength that is in us. Sure we'd all love a Kane Masters to support us along the way but the truth is Willow overcame her anxieties because she is a strong and beautiful women inside and out! Kudos Harper Sloan...this book was phenomenal and now become one of my favorites!

Thank you. Thank you for telling Willow's story. Thank you for speaking to a part of me that I have overcome but will always carry with me. My hope is that this book will not only speak to anyone who has ever struggled with the feelings that come with body image issues but also to those who may not even realize that their words and actions could contribute to someone's already fragile self-image. Be kind to one another. Be selfless. Be you. Thank you for another wonderful book, Harper Sloan.

Loved this book!!! Being comfortable in your own body is a struggle that is all too real for so many women. Who wants to be perfect anyway...it's predictable and boring! This book made me take stock of how I viewed myself and to try to look at me through the eyes of those that love me. Is it because of how I look? Do they love me for how I act? Or does how I act reflect on how I look? I will read and reread this book. Great job!

Wow this is a love story that everyone should read. Not only does she find love with a man she thought was out of the question, but she found love in herself. She had been a victim of verbal abuse mist of her adult life, by people who are supposed to love you. But it is not until she hits rock bottom and finds trust and comfort in Kane Masters that she breaks free and sees what the man she has fallen for sees when he is looking at her.

I have never read such a beautiful book. I couldn't go to sleep and not finish this story. I was hooked on it from the beginning. I love Willow her strenght, allowing herself to trust someone for the first time. The connection between her and Kane, it probably its one that you dont have all the time. Such an empowering story. I live this everyday. The thoughts and images that Willow thinks and sees I did that and still do. I work on myself mentally and emotionally daily but it can be a struggle. I love how she was able to learn to love herself inside and out and we are able to follow her in her journey.
Kane loving her and giving her the time to learn to love herself is a "grand gesture" to me. I love the story from the first word of the prologue to the last word of the epilogue.

Ever dreamed the big Hollywood actor showing up at your work to whisk you away to a whole new life? Then you woke up to reality :/ What if Kane Master was chasing after you? That is the reality of heroine Willow Tate who is not Hollywood red carpet ready in her opinion ever.
