This book is great. As usual with Karin Slaughter books, I couldn't put it down. highly recommend if you're into murder mysteries. This one is a bit graphic with the violence against women but a great book.

BLINDSIGHTED by Karin Slaughter. The story starts with Dr. Sara Linton, the small Georgia town’s coroner and pediatrician, discovering the defiled body of Sibyl Adams, a blind community college professor and twin sister of Detective Lena Adams. Sara’s ex-husband, and town police chief, Jeffery Tolliver, leads an investigation which seems to run into one dead end after another. A second woman’s body is found murdered and crucified days later. Although Dr. Linton holds the key to solving the murders based on an incident that took place in her life years before, she is at a loss as how to help the police force pursue the investigations.
Blindsighted is my seventh Karin Slaughter read— I read them in reverse. I must say the author improves with each book. If you are at all squeamish, you may want to forego this book. The author has a fascinating insight into forensics and post-mortem examinations. Her morgue scenes are graphic and detailed. There is a lot of darkness in Blindsighted. However, I found it hard to put the book down. I like the characters and give the story a 3 1/2-star rating.

This book just like Pretty Girls keeps you captivated from beginning to end.The Grant county story is one for the books and Karin did such an amazing job with all the details. I had no idea who the suspect was until the very end which was really great!

This the second novel of Karin Slaughters I've read and like the first, it kept me enthralled. She writes very well. She can create a story with a solid storyline. I could not put the book down. Now I need to get another one to read. Guess the housework will have to wait a more days.

Karin Slaughter's first novel, "Blindsighted" begins her Grant County series. This novel is centered around medical examiner/pediatrician Sara Linton. Solid first novel, relatable characters and a well reasoned plot. The "who" of the story is anticipated early by the reader, however Slaughter does provide suspense in her reveal. The novel has been criticized for its graphic, some say "disturbing" content. This impression is made worse because of the rape aspect of the crimes that take place in the story; the subject of rape being especially disturbing to some. However "disturbing" precisely describes these crimes and to her credit Slaughter doesn't sugar coat.

I read the Will Trent series and enjoyed it immensely. I'm now catching up on the Grant County series and I'm loving these as well. Ms Slaughter has a way of keeping up the suspense from chapter to chapter.

Great characters. Never a boring moment in reading. Get this book and plan on reading another one by Miss Slaughter.

I really liked this book and am looking forward to reading the others in this series. The story was interesting from the very beginning and only got better as I read on. I'm hooked now and am looking forward to reading how each person evolves in the other books.

Loved this book and all the characters! It takes place in a small town where bad things seldom happen, until someone is murdered. At one time or another it seems everyone is a suspect. I didn't guess who it was until almost the end.
I would definitely recommend!!!

The first part of the book has a fairly interesting storyline with some twists and turns. However, there was a good deal of predictability for the last half of the book. It was unnecessarily violent and descriptive which did not inspire personal interpretations and involvement from the reader.

Slaughter is not for the tenderhearted or squeamish. Her characters, her plot lines are dark and twisted and totally real. If you're ready for grown-up murder/mystery/police/detective/love story...Karin Slaughter has it all.

I just recently discovered Karin Slaughter and can't get enough of her writing! Such depth and dimension. A single character can have you angry one minute and completely understanding them the next. Love!

A friend of mine recommended I read this book and I was glad he did. I love the characters. They are very realistic and easy to relate to. I'm now a Karin Slaughter fan and bought the next book in the series, Kisscut. I'm excited about reading this too.

As usual, another Karin Slaughter tale kept me in its grip until I finished the book! Just about the time I thought I solved the mystery, the "roller-coaster" turned another corner. I highly recommend BLINDSIGHTED!

This book had just the right amount of twists and turns to keep me guessing through most of the book. I've read some books with too many twists and some with not enough, but this keep me intrigued without being frustrated. I loved it.

...even though I figured out whodunnit very early on. Engaging characters. I was equally interested in the love story as I was the mystery. This was the first book I read by this author and I immediately bought the next two books in the series.

I love this series. I think the characters are well-developed, likable and interesting. The author is not afraid of going places some people might prefer not to go but I find her choice of crimes to be imaginative, though at times gruesome. This was my favorite book of the series and it works as a stand-alone book. However, the series itself is worth reading.
