I really liked all the dark and twisty aspects of this book. It kept me guessing and I wanted answers to what was really happening, the mystery of it was very enjoyable! The sex was hot but excessive and distracting at times. I noticed myself skimming after the first few times. The ending felt disconnected, there was little to no emotional aspects between Nathan and Candace I'm not sure how it ended the way it did. I think if we got more from Nathan's POV it would have helped.

After reading The Ghost Writer, I decided to read this Torre novel without knowing what the synopsis or genre was. Let’s just say from the very beginning I knew this was not going to be anything like The Ghost Writer was! This book was super hot and steamy, so much do I had to keep reading it fast enough so the pages turning could cool me off! If the future is female, Candy represents what all females should be when it comes to their sexuality—voracious, hungry and unashamed. Sure, Candy isn’t the example of a perfect heroine, but her dark and twisted insides paired with her sexuality and romantic daydreams make her a lovable and realistic woman. She’s flawed, she’s in a bad place, she probably chooses to get herself way in over her head with Nathan, but her intentions are good and her heart is golden (like all great strippers). This story is definitely a fantasy novel story, but it’s not too far fetched to engage the reader and it’s refreshing that not only Candy, but Torre herself lays the carnal, animalistic desires of women all out in the open and spread eagle in a proud and shameless way. Too many times the men in these books are dominating shy “good” girls who act inhibited and afraid of their sexuality. Candy is an uninhibited girl who still ends up having morals and modesty, a conscience AND on top of all of her good traits, she also loves really great sex and doesn’t shy away from her desires, wants or needs when it comes to her body. It was refreshing and a novel that shows a sexually empowered woman instead of making it seem women are just toys for men to play with for solely their enjoyment.

Alessandra Torre has cemented herself as an author who has perfected and honed in her craft as she vividly delivers a sexy, provocative and highly intoxicating erotic romance. With her sinful and seductive prose, Torre has readers like myself loving the Trophy Wife, which happens to be a revamp and newly improved storyline of The Dumont Diaries.

Keep in mind, The Dumont Diaries holds a special in my heart because it was my introduction to Alessandra Torre. While I really enjoyed and loved The Dumont Diaries, I will just say Alessandra continues to be that author who keeps on giving you more. More passion, intensity, steam, and intrigue as she added more layers to the story line of Candace and Nathan in the Trophy Wife. She slowly entices readers like myself to that proverbial rabbit hole, where we are bombarded with an explosive sexual relationship that was built on secrets, mystery, sex, and intrigue. As secrets begins to unfold, readers are left on edge as we begged, craved, and wanted more. Since this is one of those sexy reads that is angsty and steamy, I won’t be spoiling the book by giving you a recap of what to expect but what I will tell you is that Alessandra Torre is a masterful storyteller who has this amazing ability to create a story that readers will lust for. So if you are looking for a story that was highly erotic and intoxicating then this book is for you.

I remember the series of novellas, I bought them all but I didn't read them foolishly, because this book blew my mind. I have read plenty of marriage of convenience books but this one however will live with me forever.

Candace or Candy is a stripper, her job is a way to make ends meet and it's not even doing that, so a proposition from a high roller leaves Candy hoping/wishing for a better life, her golden ticket, so when he comes by again this time his proposition might just be that for Candy, but Nathan Dumont is a complex a****le.

Candy will become Mrs Dumont, it will be for appearances and sex only, no love, nothing more than a business transaction really for Nathan to help him. However, things are never as they seem, this book captivated me, shocked me at times and the twist were totally unexpected. It was dark, dangerous, mysterious and seriously intriguing, throughout the book you get a strong sense of that things might/will change in this agreement as there are always new negotiations when lust and feelings change and secrets are revealed.

Alessandra always manages to pull you into the story that captivates, with this one the more you read the more evolved you become, intricate details of this smart, powerful and sexy unattainable games of Mr Dumont.

Trophy Wife is a complicated, sexy, erotic, story, that finds two people for vastly different reasons entering into a marriage of convenience. Candace is a down on her luck young woman, knee deep in financial debt, barely making ends meet working as a stripper. The other problem, she's not been able to help out in any way with her ailing father, feeling mountains of guilt for not having seen him in awhile. Enter Nathan Dumont, the hot, and wealthy developer, who walks into Sammy's Club, to offer Candy the deal of a lifetime....marriage!! Will the down on her luck stripper take the notorious player up on his offer, will Nathan become Candace's hero to save the day?? What follows is Candace's journey into Nathan's world, it's dark, and highly erotic, and you see her struggling with her growing feelings, towards him, even though she knows its a marriage of convenience, and that he possibly doesn't feel the same way. Can Candace live the rest of her life in an arranged marriage, just for the financial benefits it provides, and will she be able to thaw the heart of the detached Nathan, who's chasing his own ghosts??? Previously as The Dumont Diaries series/Mrs. Dumont, I'm intrigued to read this. From a desperate stripper became trophy wife for successful businessman. How bad can it be? Candace Tapers aka Candy works her ass off as a stripper for her sick father. She was once a princess but fell hard with no money left. Then this strange rich man, Mr. Dumont along with his bodyguard came with proportion. Marriage. It's for pleasure only; no romance. But Candy still has her smart brain to figure out what's wrong with her future husband.

I liked Candy and her struggle felt so real. With her amazing body, she became stripper. But one her sacred rule is no sex with clients. This maybe your kind of Cinderella story but believe me, it is not. Candy isn't a damsel in distress. She's just need the money and of course, the sex.

Nathan is one of my issues. I know he act like a first class bastard to Candy. He used their marriage like a business. Wife as an employee. He never shown his emotions towards Candy except for anger and unreasonable jealousy. No matter how handsome he is, I kinda hated him. But their sex was O.M.G! Such a beast with dirty mouth. Me likey!

At first I couldn't understand Nathan's motive with the marriage. When Nathan's gone (for business), Candy crave for attention and affection. She felt useless to doing nothing a whole day. She played a dangerous game with the bodyguard, Drew. I think their chemistry felt real than with Nathan. But in the end, Nathan told Candy everything and she couldn't agree more.

Nathan changed like a different person. He's no longer cold and distant. The real Nathan is more lively and fun. Candy wasted her last days to be with Nathan as a loving wife instead she's already fall in love with him. This one earned bonus point for me when Nathan show he can 'redeem' himself. However, Candy's easily forgivable with Nathan and welcome him without struggle.

Ms. Torre always succeed to captive me with her writing also the characters. There's always up and down with them. Nathan was too blind with past and never realize the reality. I have hate-love relationship with Nathan. Also how easily forgettable Drew's character. Like he's just an accessory. Anyway, the story has slow paced at first but engaging towards the end. Overall, a great read but ended up in rush with anticlimactic solution. Hmph. But once again, the sex was soo great, distracting and forgivable.

In true erotic Alessandra Torre style, Trophy Wife pushes boundaries with a highly erotic story arc that’s unique, gripping, and edgy, whilst simultaneously making me feel so much for the characters at the heart of this intriguing story. They seamlessly drew me in with their charismatic inner thoughts in an utterly compelling narrative that toggles between the perspective of the male and female protagonist revealing the layers of a story that's laced with intrigue, eroticism and passion. The author's tight narrative makes it a fluid read, one where I became easily invested in the happenings, and connected to the characters, allowing me to be whisked away to the world of Candy and Nathan.

Candace Tapers works as a stripper and catches the eye of Nathan Dumont, a very successful man who's sexy, ruthless, cold, and controlling. An alpha male who's also very, very wealthy, needs a wife and believes Candy would be the perfect option. Of course, there are many more pieces to this story, pieces of a puzzle that are slowly exposed and then all fit together in the most perfect and satisfying manner providing a totally addictive story that's intense and powerful and needs to be experienced with limited knowledge of the plot enabling the reader to discover the intrigue, eroticism and emotion of the narrative as each layer is peeled away and the plot develops.

Trophy Wife offers brilliant provocative story telling with flawless writing and beautiful subtlety that shows so much within the prose. A prose where Alessandra Torre turns up the scorch factor a million percent. Nathan and Candy have an undeniable intense attraction, their chemistry is scorching and they waste no time in showing the reader the erotic nature of this story which is seriously off the scale.

I read Trophy Wife back in early 2014 when it was in its original format and called The Dumont Diaries. I loved it then and adore this shiny remastered version that includes new scenes, a stronger heroine and Nathan’s much desired perspective. Trophy Wife has benefited from the wealth of experience Torre has gained honing her craft to perfection whilst penning numerous novels in the years that have passed since first creating this dynamic and romantic story. One of her most erotic novels, Trophy Wife has the Alessandra Torre unique penmanship and style laced into the writing canvas producing an intriguing erotic romance that takes the reader on a compelling journey of twists and turns, whilst making the reader feel so very much and root for the happy ever after of the protagonists. A scorching STANDALONE story that will be enjoyed by romance lovers who like their stories laced with passion and sex whilst maintaining a creative story arc that engages the mind.

Calling this book "hot" is like calling the Atlantic Ocean a "cup of water."

This book is so hot that you will go through several pairs of unmentionables, so I'd be prepared to change your underclothes a time or two if I were you.

Maybe a time or six.

Alessandra Torre has taken The Dumont Diaries, a previously published novella, added some heft to it, reworked other parts, and now published it as Trophy Wife. Dumont Diaries is the only book of hers that I had not read, so I can't tell you how different this is, but here is what I can tell you: this book is gloriously, fantastically HOT.

Candy is a stripper whose life is headed nowhere. Even worse than nowhere. She is a woman whose life heretofore has been victimized by, as she puts it, "poor planning." So she swings around poles, offer lap dances (and the occasional something extra), and struggles just to survive. When your goal is to emulate Anna Nicole Smith, you know that you are leading a fairly bleak existence.

It all changes one night, when Nathan Dumont walks through the door and requests a private dance by Candy. We know that he sought her specifically, but that's all we know. While this is primarily told through Candy's eyes, we occasionally get brief snapshots from Nathan's perspective. Before too long, Candy has married Nathan, becoming his trophy wife.

For Nathan, this marriage is a business proposition, and Candy knows that it will be nothing more. She needs to protect her heart, but can she? If the sexy times are any indication, you'd have to be dead to not get emotionally attached to Nathan. If nothing else, you'd get emotionally attached to his mad skills at rocking the headboard, to say nothing of that aloof, sexually commanding and compelling vibe he gives off.

There are a couple of subplots that add emotional density to the story, making it a Hot Romance Novel with depth. You will find yourself holding your breath, knowing that some things are inevitable. You also will find yourself occasionally giggling, whether due to nervous anxiety of Torre's humor.

This book has some of the most blazing hot sexy times that Alessandra Torre has written, and considering she gave us Brad DeLuca, that's saying something. As with all of her books, sex is more than a physical release. It's a means of connection, of learning about each other. It's a matter of trust, even when it doesn't appear that way. It's a matter of being with someone who understands you, who helps you fill an emotional void. Sex is never just sex in Alessandra Torre's world, which is probably why her books are so darn good.

I read The Dumont Diaries and loved, I read Trophy Wife and I absolutely adored!!! What was a sexy, intense read the first time around became an even more sexy, even more intense read with the added POV of Nathan Dumont. Trophy Wife was told in dual POV's, allowing the reader to get into the mind of both Candace Tapers and Nathan Dumont.

A stripper, a millionaire, a missing fiancé, and a body guard. This story weaves such an intricate pattern of suspense mixed with erotic moments that you will not be able to put the book down.

Candace "Candy" Tapers- a college graduate, had a good life until debt and no work experience lead her to desperation to pay the bills. Her salvation was a dark haired stranger who would come in and request her and pay handsomely. Nathan Dumont is a ruthless, arrogant bastard. He's very rich and gets what he wants. He needs is a wife and Candy fits the bill. Someone to be on his arm, play the part. There is no romance only sex and photo ops. He has a contract and it's up to Candy if she wants to accept her new life or go back to her old life, a life that holds nothing to go back too. Agreeing to being Mrs. Dumont has one big benefit, she would be able to care for her father. And then there is Drew, Nathan's body guard, who is suppose to keep Candy in line and who is always around. Wealth, Clothes, Jewels, Never Needing to Worry About Anything, Care for her Dad and an Arrogant As*h**e......It's not like a Trophy Wife can have it all.

The sex in this book is hot the charts. It is raw, intimate and very explosive. There is a gritty edge that crackles with an electric current of desire, lust and cruelty. There are specific dynamics between Nathan and Candy, Candy and Drew, Nathan and Drew and Nathan and Cecile. But as the story unfolds, there is the exchange of power between all the characters that adds an emotional vulnerability to the story, all due to twists and turns being manipulated by certain characters. But does the end result come with all the satisfying results?

I loved this story, I loved the characters, I loved the ending......I loved it all!! Sex, Lust, Greed, Manipulation.......a Trophy Wife must be ready for all.

Holy rollercoaster, batman! This book was so intriguing! Alessandra is known for pulling her readers in from the very first sentence on the very first page. Trophy Wife is no different. Holy hotness! She caught me, hook, line, and sinker.

Candance Tapers did not lead a glamorous life. Far from it. Working as a stripper to make ends meet, she did was she could to get by. She once had dreams of a happily ever after, but those dreams seemed to fade further away with each twirl on the pole. She had no idea how much her life would change the night she meets Nathan Dumont.

When Nathan offers her a life of luxury with a hefty sum of money for her 'services', it's an offer Candance can't refuse. In debt and desperate, she will do anything to change the course her choices have led her down.

Engrossed in a life she never dreamed of living, everything is seemingly perfect on the outside, but as she becomes more aware of the situation she finds herself in, it becomes clear that this is not what she signed up for. At times feeling trapped, Candace has to come to terms with the fact that her fantasy isn't all its cracked up to be.

All of the money and luxury? It's a facade. She never thought she'd lose herself in the process of bettering her life. Now, if only her head and her heart agreed. Candance knew she was heading down a dangerous path, but she couldn't deny the way he made her feel.

But, as secrets come to light, and Candance discovers what really brought Nathan into her life, she begins to question everything she has come to learn about him. Candace has a decision to make. After everything life has thrown her way, and everything she has been through, it shouldn't be a hard decision to make...right?

Trophy Wife is one heck of a wild ride! Readers who love the build of anticipation with some unexpected twists along the way will not be disappointed. In true Alessandra fashion, her unique style with just the right mix of sexiness and surprise will keep readers on their toes!

Candy has made some poor choices that land her in Sammy’s a strip club where her happily ever after gets further and further away with every twirl on the pole. Until he walks in. Gorgeous, demanding and wealthy. A far cry from the normal clientele that walk through the doors of the seedy club. But what does a girl do when she’s near rock bottom and a man offers you the deal of a life time? You say I do.

The Dumont Diaries was the first book I had read by Alessandra Torre, so this story, these characters, well they hold a special place in my heart. When I learned that we’d get to revisit Nathan and Candace with an updated story – I was torn. I loved the first book/serial – I know that with time the author has improved her craft, but these characters – I didn’t want their story changed. Alessandra Torre did this story and these characters justice. The slight changes – I was a convert. The scenes were a bit more vivid, the element of suspense was turned up and I loved the way Nathan’s POV was told.

Having read the story a few times before, I was shocked to discover that during the reading of Trophy Wife that everything felt new. Even knowing EVERYTHING, I found myself anticipating what was going to happen next.

Nathan is a jerk. No doubt about it. But once you get all the pieces you figure out why – that’s not saying that everything is forgiven. But I think Candace does give as good as she gets, so I can’t really hold a grudge – plus his whole demeanor is one of my favorite types of Heroes.

The sexy times in this – off the charts. From the first scene to the very last – I loved the rough way he took her – wherever, whenever he wanted. Trophy wife is an erotic romance with a touch of suspense and will definitely cause your kindle to heat up. A must read for fans who love their romances to have a bit of an edge and for those who already met Nathan – he is worth the re-read!

Alessandra always has such a unique writing technique that I never know what I'm going to get when it comes to reading her work. And Trophy Wife was no different. I was more than intrigued because Alessandra is the type of author that pulls a reader in with the first sentence, first page, and first chapter of every book. And then there's the hot factor of course. Trophy Wife is definitely her hottest book to date, and that made this read all the much better.

Candace Tapers didn't have the life she always dreamed of. She just did what she could to get by. It was just barely enough until she could change that for herself.

"I have no great excuses for how my life has turned out. It was a simple case of poor planning."

But one night that all changed...

The night she met Nathan Dumont.

"Right now, during these minutes, he owns me. I am fully and completely his."

She was offered a better life and so Candy took it. Any life was better than the one she led.

But are all the money and fancy clothes a facade? She never thought she'd lose herself in the process of leading a better life than she had. It was unexpected. Something she agreed upon that had her heart and head shifting in different directions.

"I needed the moment of backbone--at a time when I feel I'm losing all the pieces of myself."

This wasn't what she signed up for in the long run. But she couldn't deny how he made her felt.

"I'm going to lose my mind. Between our bodies, I can almost feel the crackle of intense need. I can feel my heartbeat between my legs, the hitter of my muscles, everything itching for his touch."

But as secrets came to light, that box just kept getting smaller...

"I close my eyes, trying to keep my face smooth and calm, tying to paint the picture of a woman whose heart is not racing, whose mind is not panicking."

Candace has a decision to make. After all she's been through and felt, it won't be a hard one to make.

Or will it?

How do you review a book when anything of substance could be a spoiler? As the blurb suggests, Nathan and Candace (Candy) enter into a marriage of convenience, and oh, what a twisted tale it is. The twists and turns were unlike anything I've read before, What a ride! This was a book I couldn't put down, it sucked me in from beginning to end.

While I can't give any details away, I will warn you about of couple things, that, for other readers, brought their overall ratings down. First, Candace cheated on Nathan while they were married. Now, let me fervently say, this is not something I'm typically very forgiving of, however, their situation was so unorthodox that it just didn't bother me that much. Although I don't condone cheating, I could understand that it was what she needed at that time. Secondly, be prepared to not like Nathan very much. You're not going to get a lot of warm and fuzzies from him. In fact, Nathan did something that made me so mad I seriously wanted to junk punch him (believe me, you'll know when you read it)! Lastly and probably my biggest complaint, was their "at the speed of light" HEA. I would have liked to have seen some wooing of at least a little groveling. I mean c'mon, who doesn't love a really good grovel right? Nope, not her, despite all the rubbish he put her through, once he uttered those three little words we magicallyfast forward to one year later and then an epilogue five years after that. It was so abrupt that I sort of felt like maybe I'd missed a chapter.

In spite of Nathan's alphahole behavior and their breakneck HEA , I was totally engaged, couldn't turn the pages fast enough and overall enjoyed it.

I read this book originally as The Dumont Diaries and gave it 5 stars. Alessandra, the gorgeous supremely talented author decided she could do better and gave it some extra bedazzle. I guess that means it now needs a billionty stars. And it is so worthy of them.

The sex is hell fire hot, but it isn't one of those books that's just about sex - boy meets girl/boy shags girl/fall in love/ HEA. Trophy Wife has twist, double twist and spank me - it has Nathan Dumont. A man of few words - DANCE. I'm dancing! SUCK. I'm sucking. Let Drew watch, ok. Nathan is one of the hottest book boyfriends ever to grace the pages of a book or kindle as it were.

Candace Tapers is at rock bottom, she's seen Pretty Woman, she knows Richard Gere isn't going to take her to polo and lay like broccoli but Nathan Dumont will whisk her to the Bahamas and ensure her nail colour is always nude.

I loved it yesterday. I love it still. Always have, always will.

"This guy is too young to be my love story, you handsome, too perfect to have any part in the rest of my life. His type marries blue blood heiresses who keep their cardigans clean and their sex cleaner."

"I will not love you. I will have no use for you other than sex and photo ops."

"Lust is a dangerous thing. It can seduce your mind and lead it blindfolded to the cliff that will be its demise."

Wow! Where to begin without giving any spoilers because I really want to vent after reading this story.
The title made me think the story was going to be about a wife of convenience for business purposes.
I was so very wrong with that assumption! When you learn the true reason for the marriage, Crazy!!! The questions your mind will form from the very beginning of the story trying to figure out why..
Angst.. Pure Angst. So very good!!!
The story is Erotic, Hot, Steamy and very, very frustratingly!! The twists in the story..
Nathan is Rich and Arrogant. Candace is a stripper struggling to pay her bills. When requested in the VIP room by this hot mysterious stranger and his body guard, Candy’s world takes a turn in a direction she never imagined. Hoping for a Cinderella Story?? Rags to Riches?? This is not it! This story is so much better and keeps you guessing.. If really messes with your mind.
There were so many moments in this story where I wanted to scream at Candace, choke Nathan and I really questioned the bodyguard Drew’s motives. There were many times I loved all of them and had mixed feelings. When the truth and secrets come out and the major twist occurred.. Just Wow!
A must read! A book you won’t put down and definitely won’t forget!

Trophy Wife is the re-branded and re-released version of The Dumont Diaries, which originally released as four novellas. There is also new content added to Trophy Wife.

Nathan Dumont is looking for a wife, but not just any wife. He is looking for a wife to accompany him to functions, and to succumb to his every sexual desire. Love not required, neither is polite dinner conversation or sharing a bed (or even a house, for that matter), with the exception of the aforementioned sexual desire fulfillment.

Candance Tapers has spent the last three years as a stripper, working to pay her student loans and provide medical care for her ailing father. Ends are barely meeting, and Candace longs for something better for her life, and for what may be left of her father's. Little does she know, the solution to her problems is about to walk through the door.

I would've liked just a *little* more between Nathan and Candace as far as the connection between them goes. The sex was hot (and frequent), but once some of the barriers of their relationship were removed, I would've liked just a smidge more to make their HEA feel more organic and believable. Obviously not a huge sticking point for me since this was still a solid 4-star read for me!

There wasn't one nice character in this story.
Everyone was mean selfish and manipulative. Not just Candy and Nathan but his staff, her coworkers, her boss, his so called friends, his ex. No one had any decent qualities.
They were totally unlikable bunch of people.
They treated each other like they were nothing more than the dirt on their shoes. And if they could use them so what.
Nathan was disgusting. He treated Candy like he was her pimp.
So it was unrealistic that they could suddenly be in love.

So incredibly twisted but yet I couldn't stop reading. The events that take over Candie's life the moment Nathan is in it, is brutally surreal. He needs Candie to fill in as a fake wife but yet he uses her and her body as if it was a real disturbing/passionate marriage. Nathan is longing to bring back the ex-fiance that suddenly left him years ago and the only way for her to come out of the shadows is to plaster his new life's pictures all over the tabloids hoping that jealousy and rage will bring her back to him.
Candie's need to get her self out of the miserable life she's been living blinds her in knowing what is hidden in store behind the contract she signs. She thought she might get a happily ever after, but what she gets is a cold hearted insanely handsome man who is infatuatedly in love with his ex. Her life to him means nothing, but yet Candie can't help but fall in love with him.
Twisted is the only word I can describe this book, as in other Alessandra Torre books, what you are reading is NOT what you think you're reading!!!!

Candy firsts meets Nathan when he shows up at the strip club and requests her in the VIP room. Down on her luck she takes his offer for the night to go with him and enjoy a night way from the very place she doesn't want to be. Offered a chance to get out of the strip club she takes Nathan up on his offer to become his trophy wife, as she said i do she may no longer be struggling to make ends meet but finds herself in another kind of hell. one that she is trapped in all over again. as the story evolves secrets are exposed bringing to light why things were the way they were. just when you think you figured out the rule to the game they changed again and again. pick up the book you will like it.

Viewer discretion advised, this book contains a lot of very hot, very graphic sex and isn't for the faint or easily offended. That being said Trophy Wife was AMAZING! Regardless of having read the original series, Dumont Diaries, this rewrite was unbelievable. I loved the characters even though you also wanted to hate them a bit for their choices. Nathan is filthy rich and shows up at a Florida stirp club to offer Candy the world. She just has to marry him and submit to his every demand. No romance, no feelings, just a trophy wife at his beck and call. I loved the dynamic between Nathan and Candy and how the characters grew. Secrets are aplenty and Candy tries to figure out if she can cut it as a trophy wife and what exactly Nathan's motives are. He could have found any debutant ready to serve him? Why her? Why did he come specifically for her??? I would have liked to see a few plot lines fleshed out in regards to his ex-fiance, but alas I still loved this book and can't rave about it enough. You need to jump on Nathan, ahem, I mean this book now!

Desperation is a fickle thing. Candice is in the most desperate of situations, she's broke, she's living a life she never intended for herself and she is unable to help her ailing father. In walks Nathan. Rich. Handsome. Demanding. Not looking for love, not even a little bit.

What is he looking for? A wife. Not just any wife, but someone who looks and behaves like someone we would all want to be. Hey, and the sex, yeah that's just a bonus.

His reasons are kinda messed up, he has a goal in mind.....but as the saying goes, not everything goes as planned.

I'll admit, I hated him in the beginning of this book. He was rude, mean even......but then when "Candy" starts to uncover his real intentions things become more clear, and yet much muddier.

This book will take you on a ride and like me you will probably hate Nathan for much of it..... but Alessandra is a master at bringing it all around and leaving us with a full story that will make you swoon!

Whether you have read the Dumont Diaries or not you won't be able to put down the Trophy Wife.
If you have read the Dumont Diaries you will find Torre has polished the original story along with the additional content that makes this story that more addicting! I enjoyed the original story had no complaints. If you are on the fence of purchasing the new version, all I can say is don't hesitate. She added so much to it that set the pace and view on the characters differently. It will be worth it!
If you are new to Candace and Nathans story be prepared to be pulled into their deliciously filthy love story. Sometimes love doesn't happen the way you think it should. Not everyone's Cinderella story is written the same way. Rest assure the prince does save the princess. Or doesn't she save him?
They have an attraction that leaps from the pages leaving you just as "drenched" as the characters on the page.
Warning: Wouldn't read in public!

Wow! This story was HOT!!!! Candace is working in a strip club trying to make ends meet. One night a sexy & rich man, Nathan Dumont, comes in to the club and proposes a beneficial arrangement. Candy accepts and then begins a crazy relationship. This story kept me on my toes, pissed me off, got me hot and bothered, and kept me in suspense. You seriously never knew what was going to happen next with this couple. Nathan was a big time a-hole. I hated him most of the book. I loved Candy and was hoping for the best where she was concerned. She wasn't treated great by her husband, but she wasn't a doormat either. There was a point where I wasn't sure if they main couple would even end up with an hea. I really enjoyed this book and plan to go finish a different series by this author that I started years ago. Definitely recommend Trophy Wife to everyone who enjoys sexy and suspenseful love/lust stories.

Wow! This was a really good, but seriously messed up story. There was a lot of psychological torture and abuse in the first half of the book. Even though Nathan Dumont tried to act like he was doing Candace a favor by "rescuing" her from her pathetic life as a stripper drowning in student loan and credit card debt. But he had his own agenda all along. He "needed" a wife.
Candace was in a tough spot and Nathan was so sexy and it seemed like his offer wouldn't be that hard to deal with considering all the perks she would gain from it. But the more time she spent with Nathan, the more her feelings grew. But with this being a business contract, Candy knows that he won't return her feelings.
Will everything she's put through be worth it? Can she even deal with it?
The story was captivating and well written and there were plenty of steamy scenes too. Thoroughly enjoyed the book!

I never read the original Dumont series so this was all new to me... I really enjoyed this book. Alessandra is so good at writing sexy time while including the element of mystery and suspense.

Here we meet Candace who is working as a stripper and trying to survive. Nathan is a millionaire who has very specific plans and those include Candace. Once they meet he makes her an offer she can't refuse. From here on out I couldn't stop reading. Definite page turner. I loved all the twists and turns that Alessandra is known for. There were times when I hated Nathan but in the end I was happy with how everything turned out.

The Trophy Wife was a surprising read. Not at all what I was expecting. If you like a read with a lot of sexual tension, you will love it.

Candy finds herself in a tough spot financially and is doing what it takes to barely make it by. Nathan needs a trophy wife. Does Candy fit the bill? Is this the answer she's been looking for?

This book takes you on the journey to find the answers to those questions....in the most steamy way possible.

Nice, easy, and entertaining read. If you read the pervious release, this does have additional scenes. Don't miss out and add it to your collection now.

Trophy Wife is hot sex mixed with intrigue and mystery. What I have always adored about Alessandra Torre is that you can never predict the twists and turns. Trophy Wife is no different. It's twist and turns take you on a ride through the tumultuous relationship between Candace and Nathan, two broken characters.

I will admit to my sympathy for Candace. Her life at this point is filled with bad choices and regret. Nathan is a real jerk....like seriously I wanted to punch him in the face!! He's a real jerk with only one goal in mind. That doesn't mean, however, that the sex between these two isnt off the charts explosive. Nathan may not steal your heart, but he will certainly control other parts of you! ;)

This is one addictive read. You will be unable to put it down until the end and you will be thinking about it afterwards. Happy Reading!

A sexually filled story of a millionaire and his hired wife. It has that perfect mixture of light and dark. Man needs a wife (for reasons explained in the book... don't want to spoil it for you,) and 'hires' a woman who is in need of some money. Perfect combination, but at what cost? He promises not to love her, and she promises to accept that... but you know how that always works out. There are several twists and turns with the characters, and even a couple kinda-sorta love triangles involved. Despite the coldhearted nature of his actions, you can't help but fall in love with him in the end. And even though it's her own fault she is in the situations she is in, you feel sorry for her and will root for her to get the boy. Well written. Reads quickly. Due to its nature and sexual content, not recommended for younger readers.

This book is available through kindle unlimited. It is written in dairy style with short chapters written in alternating pov's in the third person. It also has cheating however they are not in love when this happens but still married if that is a problem for anyone.

Candace is a stripper trying to make ends meet. She also has something Nathan needs to attain one of his goals. His other goal is to make his missing fiancee jealous enough to come home. They enter into a marriage of convenience with a contract to reach these goals. She has certain rules to follow so he doesn't get close to her and keep things a business transaction only. Not a lot of character development and more than enough sex scenes. They do get a HEA.

I wanted to love this book.

Unfortunately, making women look weak and pathetic is never a winning combination for me. Nathan's character, in particular, was curiously underdeveloped. The sex scenes were over the top, and so long...I eventually started skipping through them. I'm still not entirely sure what purpose Drew served--he just disappeared. I kept waiting for some big twist or revelation, but no.

The good news? It's a very quick read, so I don't feel like I wasted too much of my time.

Two thumbs down.

This was not my favorite book of hers... It seemed mostly about the sex and not a lot of build up on the relationship. I did not feel the romantic connection between Candy and Nathan. At one point I wish she would have ended up with Drew. I feel like if you took away Nathans money she would have cared less for him.

Spoilers ahead.***
The book is about a stripper named Candance "candy" who marries Nathan a rich gorgeous guy . The catch is they don't marry for love its more like a business proposal. Nathan is pictured aggressive, cold, almost evil that can care less about Candance. He uses her, there's a scene I can't understand where Nathan asks her to give this guy a blow job, then excuses it by saying it turns him on, yet he's jealous that she had sex with Drew. Oh yeah and then there's the love story between Candance and Drew (who's Nathan's body guard ) their live story us actually mire developed and then thrown out because she gets angry at him for something stupid. And then she falls head over heels over Nathan after she discovers he was only cold and mean cause he was in love with some other chick. Ok...? Nathan's and Candance romance was not well developed. There was some loose ends, they never explained the note she found who wrote it what was that about. I liked the beginning it seemed promising but it ended up disappointing. Like the author wanted to finish it quickly. I enjoyed it though, recommended it if you enjoy erotic , because I love some scenes lol

I read this book originally when it was released as a 4-part serial. I loved it then, and I love it just as much today. I like that this story doesn't follow the rules of romance. That's the beauty of indie publishing. Nathan Dumont sure does give Brad Deluca a run for his money in the best AT hero department.

So I know there were some negative reviews about this book but I liked it! I thought Candy was very "real" in that she was embarrassed by how her life had turned out and her many bad choices and who, in her predicament, wouldn't do the same in accepting such a marriage offer from someone. I kind of wish there had been more of Drew, maybe another book for him or something. All in all- a good book with some mystery to it

This book suffers from a lack of character development and one of the thinnest excuses ever for two people to get together. The sex scenes are repetitive and confusing. Not only that, but the heroine is essentially raped by the hero on more than one occasion, making their eventual romantic coupling stomach-turning. It desperately needs a really good editor to clear up some of the confusion and redundancies. spoiler alert: But hey, if you like the "rich guy falls in love with a prostitute" trope; and if "I only forced you to suck that guy off so you wouldn't fall in love with me" seems like a good reason for rape, then have at it.

When life hands you lemons sometimes you make lemonade. That's what Candice's decision was when she traded in her strip club for a life of luxury. Be careful what you wish for.

Despite her strength, I pitied Candice and struggled to with Nathan's harsh demeanor, but if there was anything worth finding in their connection it was the steam and sizzle that came of the pages.

I didn't read this when it was originally published as The Dumont Diaries, so if you want to know differences, look for another review.

The story is told mostly from Candace's POV, with a few short chapters from Nathan's POV. I would have liked more of Nathan's POV. The little bit that was given was like a tease.

There were twists and turns and things I didn't see coming, but for me, this was not a keep me on the edge of my seat read. I never fully connected with the characters or the story. Overall, this was a decent story, but I guess I was expecting a little more.

Liked the book, definitely entertaining. Thought it would be a little darker or more suspenseful, or have some kind of twists in the plot to make it that way. I would have liked to know more about why Cecilia took off, just seemed like the reason given was thrown out there. Also would have liked more info on Drew, or what his motivations were. But overall I liked it.

I loved reading this book so much ! A "marriage of convenience " is a subject matter I like anyway . But this novel has lots of twists and turns . It's got hot hot sex, and fascinating characters . I literally could not stop reading . I read maybe 4-5 books a week . I'm gonna say out of all the books I've read this year this is in my top five .
