Moonshot has everything in it. Romance, suspense, lust, love, victory, defeat, loss, and all the emotions in between. I am NOT a sports fan by any means, but you don't have to have a love of baseball to appreciate Moonshot. This story is so complex and emotionally charged. It ripped my heart and soul to pieces and then stitched them back together. I could not put this book down. It drew me in and captured my soul. Moonshot is a must read! Don't question it, just one-click.

I am totally in love with Chase Stern and totally loved this story. Alessandra Torre does not disappoint and showed her terrific writing talent in this story with emotional topics (one had me weeping along with Ty), inner turmoil, angst, love, and suspense. Her notes at the end of the story mention she wasn't ready for this story to end and I am right there with her. It could have gone on for a few more chapters of happy Ty and Chase. Can't wait for her next story, but am happy to ride this high for a while.

Wow! My first book by this amazing author!
Who knew baseball could take on a new twist!
This book has something for everyone....love, heartache, betrayal, fear, passion, friendship, scandal, and death. You do not need to like baseball to read this book. A hot shot baseball player and a beautiful bat girl go on a journey you have to read to believe. The twists and turns keep you on the edge of your seat. You won't be able to put this book down!

I desperately wanted to love this book. I devour anything with a baseball romance. The beginning of the book was amazing and I was hooked. When I got to the second half the story, it didn't feel as thought out and realistic as the first part. The story seemed to rush through and I lost my love for the characters. The jump from which character you were supposed to be hearing from became confusing at times

Torre hits it out of the park with Moonshot. This book is so well written that it kept me engaged from the first word to the last, at times with my heart pounding, other times with giggles and smiles. I loved the story and the characters. Ty, the Yankees bat girl and Chase, the hot, superstar player, fall into forbidden love. Very romantic and adorable with a side of mystery (a serial killer). A terrific summer read regardless of your interest in baseball.

Moonshot is sweet and romantic, chilling and intriguing, entertaining and interesting, but also a bit confusing. If that doesn’t make sense, then I apologize. I’ll try my best to get my thoughts across in a cohesive manner.
I’ll give you the critical stuff first:
Bottom line, I really enjoyed Moonshot, but only because I just shrugged and went along for the ride. When I look at the work closely, then I see a book with a bit of an identity crisis, one that changes its face and mood so drastically that I experienced to some whiplash.
Now, I’m all for books pushing boundaries and being difficult to classify, à la Outlander by Herself, but I still need for a novel to be cohesive, and if an author melds genres for it to occur from act one, and not for things to shift so abruptly that I lose my connection with the characters because I’m distracted by the story. There was a moment there when I felt like someone changed the channel to a different show, but with the same characters.
Maybe Torre had two different stories in mind and meant to mesh them together? Who knows? Whatever the intention, I just don’t think it was executed well enough to make one GREAT story. Instead, this is a good read with some great scenes.
I think the first half of Moonshot is the best because it’s better constructed. That part includes the building of Ty and Chase’s relationship (as well as her relationship with her dad), a sweetly forbidden romance loaded with chemistry and tension. The second half is good too, and it’s loaded with a different kind of tension and suspense. The second half of the book is what the synopsis describes. Moonshot moves from a slow-build forbidden romance, to a faster-paced thriller (with a bit of forbidden romance still mixed in).
Now the good news:
Moonshot is entertaining as hell. I can honestly say that there wasn’t a single moment of boredom. I was hooked from the first scene when Ty first walks into the world of baseball, to when she starts to fall for the off-limits all-star, to when sh** started hitting the fan. I was compelled even when I was confused, quickly turning the pages, curious, turned on, anxious, and hopeful that things would end the way I wanted them to end.
I’m recommending this book because it truly is an engaging, sexy, and intriguing read. A great pastime, a plain ole good time.

I kept having to remind myself that throughout the beginning of the book. I stopped reading the book a couple of times because I was so invested in Chase and I just knew how the story was going to play out. I didn't think I could stand to see him hurt he meant so much to me. Boy was I wrong about their story. There was angst, played out the only way it could, mystery and suspense, but it ended happy. Another of Alessandra's books I thoroughly enjoyed.

Loved the romance story and the suspense of this book. It had it all for me. Most the time i get really annoyed with stories that have miscommunication which leads to heart break - Alessandra Torre wrote that in a way that didn't bother me like other books do!
Recommend! - My favorite book by this author is still Hollywood Dirt, but this on is also high on that list. I've read everything by Torre and recommend are all books!

Alessandra Torre is by far one of my favorite authors. She yet again does not disappoint with Moonshot. She always manages to have me fully submerged in the world she opens up to me. Moonshot was exciting, and heartbreaking and had my anxiety amped up to extremes scared to turn the page to see what was going to happen next. But turn the page I did. Until the very end.

Loved Ty & Chase & Tobey - all are so muti-layered and real - amazing!
And what a story - thought I had it all figured out and WHAM all that intensity and suspense kicked in. Incredibly developed story line, full of twists and turns and bumps in the journey to the end.
I could not put my kindle down.
Loved the title of the book and how it played into the story.
Definitely one of my favorite books of 2016.

I loved loved loved this book. Such a beautiful story. I can't believe it took me all this time to read it. I'm not a fan of baseball, so I thought I would not like the book. I was wrong. Moonshot is an incredible love story filled with drama. One of the best books I've read. Alessandra Torre is a brilliant author.

Wow love the suspense. You really did not know where this was going. This was more then just a simple girl meets boy , girl falls for the player book. Do not even be fooled. This was so much more. You feel yourself falling along with Ty, only to left be left with your jaw hanging quite a few times! WHAT! For me this was a great read.

This is another wonderful book by Alessandra Torre. Loved Chase and Ty. Story of forbidden love and chances not taken set is a MLB setting. The chemistry between the two is electrifying. Definitely reread material and sure to be a favorite. I love characters and books that I can go back to and fall in love all over again. Chase and Ty in Moonshot are those characters and Moonshot is that book. Don't miss it.

LOVED this! I know I'll always like an Alessandra book, but this one was on a while nother level! There are quite a few unexpected twists in this story and I could never guess what came next. You'll laugh, shed a sad year or two, and then she'd a few happy tears. And your heart will hurt a little bit, but in a great way. I read this book front to back in 2 days. You will not regret buying this book.

Since I was little, I loved baseball. I also love reading about the game. I'm not new to Alessandra books, but this one definitely hit a home run in my heart.
The writing in this story really pulled me in, I couldn't stop reading it. The love for the characters and their love for each other became real. This was a fantastic book, one that will be on my favorite shelf for a very long time.

Loved the plot and loved the characters! The twists and turns kept me turning pages and the characters had my heart from page 1. Ty and her father, Ty and Tobey, and Ty and Chase all are couples that you connect with for various reasons, and in the end, though the relationships encounter obstacles, some insurmountable, the HEA was as it should be.

The mix of suspense and romance worked for me. I appreciated Ty's relationships. The feelings she had toward Chase, Tobey, and her father seemed to make sense. Ty seemed precocious for a 17 year old and again in the second half of the story when she was 22. I found the chapter POV changes a bit confusing but well worth sorting out. Despite these small concerns I highly recommend the book.

Have you ever been reading and looked down and saw 90% finished and thought NOOOOOOOOOO! I'm not ready for it to be over! That's how I felt! I wanted to stay in Ty and Chase's world a little bit longer! I loved Tyler, she made me wish I grew up with a baseball team as my family! And Chase oh swoon! So many feels in this book! I highly recommend this book and this author!

Sooo good! Romance, mystery, good characters and a plot that kept me guessing until the very end! Plus, Yankees baseball! What a plus. I probably should have given it 5 stars, but love triangles and cheating bother me, however, in this fictional story, it worked. Ok I'm changing it to 5 stars. :-)

Baseball, love and a little suspense what more could you ask for in a novel! I loved the relationship between Ty and her father and oh how I loved Ty and Chase together! This book shows you about young love that never really goes away. Bad decisions that change your life in ways you never imagined and how true love and happiness can happen if you open your eyes and heart to it.

I loved the chemistry and budding relationship between Ty and Chase. I liked the baseball lingo and insider tidbits. But, I didn't like the relationship development. I can't say more without spoiling the plot. I will just have to say I wish it was done differently. Speaking of different, I don't think I have read a romance with over a hundred chapters! :)

I had been in a reading drought. Nothing really interested me and then when I found something to read, it was just ok. Thank goodness for this book! It was exactly what I was searching for and needed to find. The connection between Ty and Chase pulled me in and kept me there in those pages with them until the end. I read it in less than 24 hours.

A forbidden romance. Am all-compassing love. Stupid decisions and life-changing consequences.
"Together, we would only bring chaos"
Aren't you hooked? Not yet?! Than how about alittle bit suspence? The combination that cannot leave anyone indifferent.
Moonshot by Alessandra Torre became of the several sports novel that I read. I cannot say that I'm a baseball fan as I know nothing about it. But, guys, I was hooked after the first 20% of the book and I just couldn't slow down. I desperately needed to know what will happen. I needed my answers.
The story can be divided into two parts - before and after those decisions and consequences. For years between them. A whole life that can be lived differently.
When we first meet Ty Rollins, she is a seventeen-year-old ball girl at one othe the best baseball clubs in the world. She loves this world. Baseball is her life, team is her family. A tomboy who isn't interested in girlie stuff.
That's until she meets Chase Stern, a professional baseball player, who turns her world upside down. First love that cannot be forgotten. A kind of love that destroyed empires and whole nations. They have their story. Until they don't.
Four years later we have see another Ty and Chase. They changed. They are still forbidden. They are doomed but one thing remains - their love.
"...the othe part of me just wanted to be free, just wanted to be happy, just wanted to be with the man I loved. "
I loved main heroes of this book - Ty and Chase. Sometimes I was angry at them and didn't like their actions but looking back we all made mistakes. We all had our embarassing moments. I liked their strength and the will to stay together no matter what.
" Life is a series of stupid decisions interrupted by luck"
I always thought that Mrs. Torre is a genious and all her books are masterpieces. This book is not an exception. It's heaven personified. Thank you for it!
" Love like that didn't know the rules of society; it didn't care about life mistakes. It only knew what must be, and what would happen - no matter what."

The romance was awesome and the characters certainly had lots of chemistry. I have read all of AT's books and I have really enjoyed them all. But like someone else said, this thing with the murders was not necessary, too predictable, and it felt like it was added as an afterthought to extend the story. I definitely enjoyed reading it.

Unfortunately the book started off great, but then fell flat. Like others, I love this author and read everything she has written. However, after a strong start that drew me in, I had to force myself to finish it. The plot dragged in parts and was convoluted and not believable. However, it won't stop me from reading her books in the future.

The first half was great. I was completely imthralled into the world of pinstripes. It made me want to go catch a Yankees game and to be honest a had a little girl crush on Ty. Chase was swoon worthy.
On to the second half... It seemed like a different book. I didn't put it down because I was already hooked. But it just didn't flow right. I enjoyed the book none the less and love the author.

Another hit out of the ballpark for Torre! For a self proclaimed "newbee" to the sports genre, she delivers. This book is full of heartache, suspense and second chances. If you love a good baseball story with a little twist, this is a read you MUST put on your 'to be read" list.
