I really enjoyed this book. Max & Cade where opposites or so they thought they were. Max isn't afraid to tell you how it is when she's pushing people away. Cade lets people go, but when you find that one person that just seems to click you try to make everything work out in your favor. Some parts where heart wrenching & others were heart warming. Great read. :)

Everything I expect from Cora Carmack. Cade is an amazing male character and she did a great job with his POV. Max is my book girlfriend if that is allowed. I loved her so much and I hope we get to hear more from Max.

Yet again, I couldn't stop reading another of Cora's novels and read this one in one sitting too! I loved how she tells this story through the characters' perspectives and you truly feel what the characters are going though. Just an overall, relatable story line that keeps your attention.

Quirky, fun, and sexy romance. Cade and Max are complete opposites, but somehow their differences is what ultimately draws them to one another. I absolutely LOVED this book. Cora Carmack nailed it with these two. A definite "must read"!

What a beautifully written piece. It had such emotion. And love throughout it I couldn't put it down. One of those book that was sad to end but what a great way to end it at that. I'll definitely stay tuned into Cora Carmack great job

That was a long ( and at some points annoying ) journey, exploring what is going inside the heads and souls of two people. Their fears and hesitation take over most of the text, and there was so much silent talking or thinking going on, very few said, a lot of beating around the bush and going in circles. There was no real progress happening, although the two main characters seemed to be doing a lot of thinking about their lives past, present and future. With so much mind- noises you would expect things to speed up and that the two main characters would deal with their inside- wars, but nothing happens. The reader gets stalled for the whole length of the story, waiting for a turning point, but that seems to take frustratingly forever. Though, the plot has enough in it to keep the readers going, and then, at last, the turning point happens and we as readers accept it, and finally can sort-of-relax. Do I recommend reading it, yes sure, I am positive that it will touch the souls of many of you out there.

The first book I read from this author, Losing It, left me wanting...wanting more excitement, more passion, more drama. It was a good enough story and there were the occasional funny parts but the characters were soooo cute and the love scene was soooo tame I felt it almost could have been a young adult book instead of an adult romance. But the story idea in Faking It intrigued me and I loved Cade's character in Losing It so I gave in. I'M VERY GLAD I DID!

From the beginning Max and Cade had passion...they were funny, in there own heads and to each other...and the way they fought the relationship was so real that I found myself wanting to slap them both up side the head!

You can read this book without ready Losing It but I wouldn't recommend it...you'll understand Cade a lot more if you do.

But all in all a good read that had just enough drama and passion and tender moments to keep me interested from page one! Two thumbs up!

I agree with other reviewers that Faking It was better than Losing It. And I adored Losing It. I love how the author pulled Bliss and Garrick into the book so effortlessly and allowed those of us who needed to hear more of their story to do just that. I was worried that the book was about Cade but just ended up loving him almost as much as I did Garrick. It's the accent on Garrick that holds me back...sorry Cade =). I love that the main character was as strong as she was but by the end was able to still show her emotions. I really enjoy being able to go through a myriad of emotions while reading a book and this one had me laughing, wanting to cry, and then smiling like an idiot. The author gets you so invested in her characters that it makes stopping reading impossible. I will read this again which is unusual for me and will definitely look for more books from Cora.

I absolutely loved this book. Cade and Max's story was beautiful. I fell in love with Cade in this book too, he was such a great guy. I also loved that it had Bliss & Garrick in it because I am a huge Losing It fan. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves Cora Carmack's books and Losing It. Here is one of my favorite quotes in the book..

"Living is Hard. It was hard today and it will be hard again in the future. So, you close your eyes and you breathe."

"And if you do wake up one day and don't want to be with me, I will fight for you like I am now. I'll remind you every day how amazing it feels when your body touches mine. I'll remind you of the good times, and help you forget the bad. I'll remind you who you are when life has beaten you down and made you doubt it. I'll bust down your door in the middle of the night and kiss you until you remember that your fears are just that, and they can't control you. I'll take my chances against your fickle heart if it means it's mine.

This book came highly recommended to me, and I was hoping it would live up to my friend's review. However, I had a difficult time liking the lead female character Mackenzie, or Max, as she wants to be called. I just didn't find her very endearing. Whereas Max seemed cold and manipulative, Cade, the lead male, was sweet, open, sensitive, and love able. The premise is a good one and could have been an amazing story for me if I just liked Max a bit more. I usually read these books in a matter of a day or two. But I had a hard time picking this book back up after putting it down. For me, it's usually the other way around.
