I've discovered Thich Nhat Hanh in finding relief for depression. It is so easy for my thoughts to spiral downwards. This reading is helpful in teaching me how to retrain my thinking and outlook. Now I only intend on practicing his techniques, and to continue reading his books.

Tich continues to amaze me with how simply elegant he can put into words things many of us think are complex and too difficult to discuss. Great book for anyone suffering or trying to make sense of a difficult situation.

I couldn't rush through this book straight through because it's a lot to digest but I recommend it to anyone who finds they need to find more of a center in our everyday hectic lives. The teachings are not difficult concepts, but it's good to be reminded of what we probably already know.

I really like the part where Master Thich Nhat Hach mentions that our ancestors' suffering is related our present suffering. Most teachings would only emphasize that we are responsible for our own deeds and focus on one's improvement. However when he pointed put "ancestors", there seems to be a spiritual connection between everyone. We are all spiritually interconnected from one another. It makes us think deeper about world peace and the deeds we do in everyday. They are not just affecting us only but other people around us are also affected by our actions.
