I got because I liked the idea of short stories - fairy tales, they are not that short, But are very good reads and so well detail and draws you into the book like a great book should, it starts out with the "the bad guys" and there fairy godmother, the mad hatter , the bad guy in beuty and the beast and and the wolf. I can wait to read the next set with the rest of the bad guys :) sorry won't get details from me but well worth the read and money.

These books are good fun. The writing isn't stellar but they are entertaining. The stories are a twist on fairy tales. They are told from the perspective of the "bad" guys - the big bad wolf, the mad hatter and show you a flip side to the stories we all have grown up hearing. There are some pretty steamy parts too which is nice. I enjoyed them and would purchase again.

Marie Hall's Kingdom Collection is UH-MA-ZIIIING. I came across the series while I was at work so I could only read litte excerpts. I was literally counting down the minutes until I got off so I could go home, buy and download this to my computer!
Some stories let you down - not Hall's. Every female character is different (and not annoying) and the men are SWOOOOON worthy. I love fairytales, I am an absolute sucker for them and I was thrilled to see that an author used such a kickass concept!

Love fairy tales? These are not your classic ones, so if your looking for all the glitter and typical happy endings, these are not the books for you. That being said, if you are into tales with a twist and a look into the "darker" side of fairy tales, still happy endings included, just not the ones you expect. Fall in love with Dani's fab five!

Omg! I absolutely love the adventure of Kingdom. I've read all of the Kingdom books before, but decided to re-read them. They are so hard to put down once you picked them up. I don't get crap done when I'm reading about Kingdom. Love these books and would recommend them to anyone who likes new takes on old fairy tales!

At the beginning of the first book, I almost gavery up on it, but boy, I'm sooooooooo glad that I kept reading. I love them and eventually want/need to read the rest of the series, but I am going to have to wait for a big sale or free downloads.

I'm completely in love with this series. Great job Marie! Her imagination is amazing and her writing really draws you into this world. As the series moves on you get to explore and see more and more of Kingdom. Fantastic job of creating just the right amount of sexual tension and hot scenes. Love all the characters.

Cute concept, since I love fairytale retellings, but it failed on delivery. I felt like all the heroines had basically the same personality, and the heroes weren't all that different from each other either. They all fell for each other unrealistically quickly, and any connection seemed based more on physical attraction than on any kind of personality clicking. And in the first two books, I really didn't like how it was all on the women to fix or reform the men, and to give up (literally) everything in order to do so. The Hatter was the hero I liked the least, since it was all about her trying to convince him to give her a chance, and refusing to compromise in the slightest when it came to her wants and needs - what is romantic about that?? A guy with so much baggage he can't even see you for yourself? No, thanks.

This fairy godmother has her hands full! The mad hatter, Gerard and the big bad wolf are some of her favorite charges. Each one of them is at the brink of destruction and the only thing that can save them is the love of a strong woman that can reach past their walls and into their hearts. only then they can have their happily ever after.

Originally I thought these would ruin my childhood but as it turn out, they stay true to character pretty well and explain away the things that do not fit. Very hot, I have been rereading and rereading and rereading...

I was looking for something different and I sure got it with the Kingdom Collection. You need to start with the very first book Dark House to set the stage. Once you've it then hang on for a ride. Each character is off the wall. You'll laugh, you'll swoon and you will cry. I will be reading this set of books again.

I downloaded the Mad Hatter book as a free download and loved it so much. I immediately went out and purchased the other four books in the Kingdom series. That was just 3 days ago and I am done with all of them. Each story is unique with a different perspective on fairy tail characters we know. My wish now is for Danika to come find me and give me three days in Kingdom ;) I am thrilled that the Kingdom stories are not ending and highly recommend these books to all. They are the right mix of heat, love and escapism which I love in "my books".

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. The concept of seeing the traditional fairy stories from a different angle is fun, and I like the characters that the author has created. They are flawed, like real people. Enough sexy scenes to spice things up, but not overpower the plot lines. I am going to buy the next installments in the series.

I loved reading these novels. I could barely put them and spent my time away just waiting to come back to finish the story. I loved the adult twist on a fairy tale and the idea of bad boys finding love. I would love to read the other stories. One star missing because of some grammatical, spelling and phrase errors that need to be fixed.

I absolutely adored Marie Hall's take on the fairy tale classics, and how even she believed that Villains should get Happy Endings too. From Mad Hatter to The Big Bad Wolf, I couldn't put this book down as I was drawn in by the colorful penmanship of Hall's. I would definitely recommend this book to all of my friends and I look forward to reading the rest! (I just purchased Books 4-8 for my Kindle, too!)

Kingdom is a land of Fairy Tale folk who interact and live. From Hatter to the Big Bad Wolf and all characters in between. And of course they're immortal. Some even travel to Earth to meet their soul mates. But not all of them travel willingly...at first. Great stories. Very entertaining and sexy.

I was surprised at how good this series was, especially because it's free. It's a quick and easy read. The story just flows. It took me awhile to actually start reading it, I thought it was going to be those really cheesy erotica romance because of Her Mad Hatter cover, but nope! I will definitely continue this series

This three book set was wonderful. It was written so well that I pictured being in fairy with the characters. I went ahead and bought books four and five while still reading book two. The imagery was excellent and the characters very believable and complex. I can not wait to read more books by this wonderful author. Bravo .

The mad Hatter and Alice gave me whiplash but grew to like him in the end. Gerard was sweet and so was his Betty.
But as much as I thought I would love Red and her Wolf, Evan was adorable and lovable. But Red was a bit too crazy for me.

Initially thinking I purchased a new take on traditional fairy tales for my oldest daughter (so glad I preread everything before her) Her mad hatter got me hooked and has kept me hooked through all of the books so far! Have to say Red & the Big Bad Wolf has been my favorite thus far! Thank you for feeding my book addiction?

An interesting and promising twist on some of the most iconic characters from classic stories. Sadly I was underwhelmed. On a personal note, I couldn't get over Alice being so different from the classic description, read the first in the collection and didn't continue.

Very imaginative and such fun. It's always interesting to see well loved (or hated in this case) characters written with a different twist. Nicely paced and interesting. The only issue I had was occasionally finding misused words. (I'm an editor and I can't seem to turn it off. Sorry.) Overall, very well done and entertaining.

Marie has a talent for writing - she brings you into the world and makes you want to stay. Her characters are so well thought out they stay with you loooong after you finish the story. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is I wish the stories were longer!

These are enjoyable, the characters seem familiar and the stories worked out so I gave them 4 stars. Now what messed up the book was the sex. Even though bad boys are sexy... it doesn't fit not only because of the fairy tales themselves but that the heros of the story have just about given up.

rest of the kingdom collection books. this entire series is about fantasies. the author portrays them all quite well since I actually paid money for the books. the first was the best and the rest were good - some better than others. I would suggest that if you enjoy fantasy, you'll enjoy these quick, easy reads as well.

I enjoyed each story in this collection. Alice and Hatter, Gerard and Betty, Violet and Ewan. I can't decide which story I liked best. The editing was pretty bad in these books, but I gave my rating on the stories alone. But, had I paid for these books it would received a lower rating.

Great value for a collection of great books. The story is inventive, though it is obvious that the author grows in ability throughout the three books. The Hatter seems a little rushed, but Marie Hall has found her groove by the time you get to the Big Bad Wolf!! I love her characters and creative background.

I love reading fairy tales especially the ones with a twist. Reading about the bad 5 has been great. I had recently read about Batter and was anxious to get my hands on the next book. When I found this boxed set for free I loudly expressed my delight. My youngest (a non-reader) told me I didn't have to be so vocal. My oldest (avid reader) told her you sometimes can't help contain your excitement. Yes I read them all quickly. I see there is more than 5....hooray!!

I really enjoyed these stories. They are a fresh twist on the some of the fairy tales we know and love. The first story is spin on Alice in Wonderland. The characters are well written and the romance is hot. This one is my favourite out of the set and gets the series off to a great start. The next book is a take on the story of Beauty and the Beast but is about the other hot guy who was a real "beast" when it comes to women and his redemption with his own bibliophile "Beauty". The story of Red Riding Hood is a bit darker book than the other two but still a great story that while supplies the HEA that is important to readers like myself, leaves you wanting more of the fantastic world that Ms. Hall has created.

I loved these stories . There is intrigue , humor , adventure and true love in every story. This just proves to us that everyone needs love , including the bad boys . And deep down inside there is a balance of good and bad in every soul. It just takes that one special person to bring it out of us.

A bit confusing in the first book at the beginning, but if you keep reading the writer makes it all clear. Would not call it an erotic story but there are definitely sex scenes not for the squeamish. Outside the sex scenes there is lots of talk leading up to those scenes. The story lines are well formed and the suspense is worth the read.

I enjoy retellings of fantasy! I love how she gives life to the Big Five villains of my favorite stories. She gives you page turning (or in my case, screen sliding) enjoyment. I honestly don't know which story was my favorite!

I already wrote a review for Her Mad Hatter, which by the way I rated it a 5 star cause it is totally awesome. If you want to check it out I think you click on "view all my reviews". I think. I like Gerard and Betty's story I thought it was really cute. I like how Betty is the total geek, she works in the library, loves anime, and she also believes that there is life on other planets (which I believe is totally true). I love how Gerard is a French hottie and knows how to cook. I got so hungry after reading the part where he cooked an egg omelet with veggies. Sounded so good I had to make some. I thought it was kind of funny how Belle left Gerard for the beast cause he had more moolah. Belle is a total gold digger. I really don't care for the fairy Galeta I think shes evil and Danika needs to challenge her to a duel or something so she can get a a** whooping. I really like the fact that when Betty made the mistake of giving Gerard an order by accident she realized what she did so she apologized and promised she wouldn't ever do it again. I'm sad that their story didn't take place in kingdom but happy that they got their happily ever after.
I really really loved reading Red and Her Wolf. I love how it takes you on an adventure and its twisted in a evil way. I felt bad for Ewan cause he had to join the evil fae Malvena so his family could eat, then he finds his soul mate but she gets taken away like literally from his arms, and to top it all off he cant change into wolf form and gets sent on wild goose chases around kingdom for 50 years, cause Danika told him that Red was spotted. I understand why she did it but that was cruel to tease him like that. I love Violet and how evil she could be. When she jumped down from the tree to kill the wolf I was in awe of her and thinking yeah total bad a**. When they were in the woods to kill the witch I was so scared for her I thought she wouldn't get evil mad in time to defeat the witch. That witch by the way, I thought was really scary I wouldn't be caught eating candy in her woods. I like how Violet needs Ewan to kill Malvena, it's sort of like a team where they help each other out, she sucks the evil in and he sucks the evil out, kind of messed up in a way but I think it's totally romantic. I was teary eyed at the end when Miriam sacrificed herself it was sad reading that part. If you don't tear up then something is really wrong with you. I'm so happy that Ewan got his soulmate back, they both deserve happiness. I'm excited to read the next books in this series I can't get enough of Kingdom.
