Awesome!! Looking forward to #3.... Soon me hopes.
Good stuff, all written. I'm convinced that the author is, at least in comparison, Tina or Tara. All the characters are awesome. Curt needs a beat down....Jake needs to step up in the gun dept., Grayson Needs To Get That Tooth Pulled...soon. That'll Kill A Man In The apocalypse!! Id like to see how Smalls turns Out....maybe? I could go on and on I guess about all the players...but I will not.
Being a prepping fool (as I've been called) I read tons of this genre, some good (like this series) and some well intended but fraught with errors. However I always pick up something new to add to my 'stuff', either in item to use, or food for thought.
There is a storm coming kidz...believe it, and be ready. Be one of the good guyz!!! And remember....during those times, trust your gut. There won't be a do over. Stay frosty.

She's great and got it all together.....laughed ,got mad and even hollered a little .The hubby thought I was crazy(even the dog looked at me strange)Hmmm, those idiots on the scavenger hunt just never learn do they? These characters are great and the storyline was awesome....I'm from Upstate SC (out in the boondocks)and loved seeing a book that was set in the south with good strong women.I loved Puck he was just precious and Elmer just broke my heart.Cant wait for your next book Lisa!!

I enjoyed the characters. A cast of each and every kind of peoples. Ive read both books, they tell a good story. Fleshing out each person, their ideas, thoughts and none are perfect, it makes a good story. Im hoping some of the towns people wise up and join the family. Great writing and im looking for the next installment.
Girls in Pants (Sisterhood of Traveling Pants - Book 3) :: Forever in Blue :: Sisterhood Everlasting :: The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) :: being left out & the whole popularity thing (Smart Girl's Guides)

WOW Lisa, another fantastic book. There are too many of my favorite people to name and I admired those same favorites, but I adored Elmer and he definitely had my heart. To find his precious Edith the way he did, just tore me up. And Puck, was my hero. He has come so far thanks to Grayman. I need to know about that beautiful little baby girl and I really need the next installment.
Thank you Lisa for yet another amazing book. I love you girl. June

The series continues in Shoot Like a Girl, book two. We forge a deeper connection with the characters, and follow them as society breaks down further. While I love most of the characters, and I'm even ok with the "bad guys", I have to say Olivia drives me crazy. It's the only thing that bothers me, but I know it is realistic that there will be people who are cowards, make stupid decisions and can't face the reality of societal collapse. So while I wish I could at least punch her, I highly recommend this book and the series. I bought the Audible version; if you like Audible Kevin Pierce does a fabulous job!

Great read this second book in the series. this is one of the books where you start, and suddenly look up surprised that the day has gone. great likable characters, well written and sometimes even too realistic. it made me put the book away a couple of times due to the drama in it. but I really loved it. so looking forward to the third book ;-)

Lisa does a great job of bringing the characters into your life, the good, the bad and the ugly. I’ve read both of the first two in the series and now I’m waiting for book 3.

I appreciate that her characters were not all super-preppers, with everything in place. It’s more realistic.

Great read!

I truly enjoyed the story, despite the typos. The backstories of Puck and Emma should be developed further,as should the relationship between Tucker's group and Grayson's group.I'd also like to see more of Xander.
This is one of those novels that make me think about who to cast in which roles if it were to be made into a movie

I was bouncing between 4 and 5 stars ...
Could use a little more character development and detail for the adventures of the main characters. Teases about a couple of things then does not go into further details. Overall a good book and quick read. Interesting enough and I'm looking forward to book 2.

Recommended, but there are some better ones out there.

Too many characters and too many places. The prologue ruined the first novel and made reading the second one hard as well. I kept waiting for all the family members to die. I am not a quitter so I try to finish any book I start and I'm this case it meant reading the second. Very little character development. I kept waiting for more of a story, more details. The peeps were solid and being prepared is important so I gave it 2 stars.

This book was packed full of struggles to survive, guns and conflict, as well as some good prepping ideas . The characters are interesting in a storyline that could happen. Can't wait to read the next by this really good author!

Much better than book one ,the story picks up right where book one left off.
Sometimes the break between the chapters wad a bit abrupt. As the next chapter brings in a new element to the story.
But then again I admit that I am sometimes a boot OCD.
Saying that I truly enjoyed this book.

Every one loves to hate Olivia, wonder if she will ever get it right. There are others that should have been prepared but were not. Saw it a few weeks ago with our flash floods taking out roads and water lines. Too many expecting the water company or county to fix the problem instead of preparing ahead of time.

Awesome book that kept me captivated the entire way through. Great writing, great character development and great story line. Character development is so vivid she had me hating a fictional character and yelling at that character through different parts of the book. Truly an awesome series and an amazing author!! Cannot wait until book 3 comes out!!

Love this series. Turned pages rapidly to find out what was happening next. A good story and though bizarre at times I believe the awful stuff is possible; people do crazy things in hard times. The forewarning after every chapter was a good touch. I felt dred for the character's future! (A good ending).

My husband is somewhat of prepper. Nowhere near what we should be. The thing I like most about these books is they are very informative. I have learned several new potential life saving techniques which I then passed on to my husband. Some new to even him.

Love this series, my husband read and really enjoyed it too. I have a big family ( 4 sisters) , I’m the oldest and can image us in these situations. Read the series then bought the audio version to listen!
