I think David Rosenfelt is an excellent writer. He always has a very good plot but he writes very "tongue in cheek" so that it is a fun and enjoyable read even while he is solving a crime. I recommend his books to ALL my friends.

This 13th installment in the great Andy Carpenter series is among David Rosenfelt's best. I was delighted to read it as soon as possible and will continue to pre-order his books.
However, ATTENTION PUBLISHER: There are no chapter divisions in this Kindle edition, unlike Rosenfelt's other Kindle books. Clearly, based on the Kindle layout, there was an intention to create chapters, but no chapters resulted. I don't really care that "1", "2", "3", etc., are omitted. What I miss is the humor of Rosenfelt's chapter titles. PUBLISHER, please correct the Kindle edition! Thanks.

So here is the problem. Rosenfelt has fallen into the new Thriller trap. Make the book as confusing as humanly possible and depend on the reader to figure out who the heck is who. I am 69% of the way through the book and confused. I just read a paragraph that talks about the deaths of 4 people by 2 other people and then there are the other characters to keep track of. Books should be written clearly so that the reader can follow. This is just badly written. I may or may not finish it but an editor should have taken an scissor to this draft and cut and pasted and made sense of it.
