The story of the trials and tribulations of transporting 25dogs across the country was interesting as were the stories of many of the rescue details. I came from Arkansas to Vermont with 13 cats loose in my car. I can appreciate that type of experience.

Fabulously entertaining and heartwarming story. I finished it in a flash - hard to put down. It's great to know that there are great people our there , all 11 of the humans who participated in this adventure.

Any dog lover will love this book. We have always had dogs in our family, but usually only 2 but as many as 4. Big and small, they are all loved. David expresses how much dogs can enrich your life with their unconditional love. It is amazing that David and Debbie take care of and love so many dogs at once and can handle their deaths so bravely. It tears me up every time. God bless you both!

David Rosenfelt is a very entertaining writer and this venture into non-fiction was no exception. He has a very droll sense of humor and a huge heart when it comes to dogs, especially Goldens. This is his story of moving across country with 25 large rescue dogs with his wife Debbie and several volunteers in three motor homes last year and the adventures they encountered along the way.

As a fan of David Rosenfelt's fictional works involving Tara, I loved the non-fiction account of the move from LA to Maine with 25 rescued and personal dogs, with the volunteers. It was heartwarming and one I will listen to again.

Loved every bit of this book! I grew up volunteering at the Saturday PetsMart adoptions and was constantly bringing home dogs off the street trying to find their home. Nothing has changed we have 8 dogs in the house (a pure golden, 2 labs, and the rest mutts) and all but 1 are reacues (2 from PetsMart the rest off the street) and they are all proudly my fault :) This book is definitely an inspiration I have always wanted to start my own rescue but never thought it would be possible. Thanks to this book y'all give me hope that you really can do anything if you have the will and desire. Fantastic read!! Thank you for sharing your amazing adventure.

Loved this book......husband Mike and I traveled many a mile in rvs rescuing/transporting dogs.....although seven was our max.....but only two of us limited that. We had to leash/harness walking but it was always worth it....Thanks for the memories....

Another winner from David Rosenfelt. This time it's a real life saga of moving his rescue dogs across country. It is at times hilarious and touching and heroic.
For anyone who loves dogs, really loves dogs, this is the perfect book.

David Rosenfelt an engaging and amusing storyteller which is why I read every book of his that I can lay hands on or Kindle up. But this book goes much farther that just a story. He truly opens his heart, and his thoughts on the lives and end of lives of these wonderful animals has given me comfort, strength, and inspiration. It was great to travel with the RV wagon train.

This was a great book, with laughter, tears and just fun reading. Good for any dog person and super for those of us that rescue dogs. The author and his wife are wonderful people to rescue these older dogs and give them a great last few years.

Rosennfelts way of writing in an easy style like he is talking to the reader comes out in these individual stories that he writes about the dogs he has adopted and planning for the big move across country. It was quite a feat. Any dog lover will love this book.

I found this book very informative and greatly admire the author and his wife for what they are doing for senior dogs. We have one dog that was rescued from a puppy mill as she had still born pups and therefore was of no use to them.

O.K. Honestly this is the first Rosenfelt book that I have ever read. I laughed, cried, and smiled through the entire book!! If you've a dog lover, this is a must read. It was so nice getting to know all the dogs and the people who helped with the "Dogtripping" .

A very nice account of David Rosenfelt's trip across the country from LA to Maine with 25 dogs, three RV's, and a host of volunteers. The trip was interspersed with stories about individual dogs. i am a big fan of David Rosenfelt.

We love them all...Goldens, Berners, Mutts...all our dogs are special to each and every one of us! This is the only way to be kind when it comes to moving with your beloved dogs...or cats. Did I mention I just love GOLDEN RETRIEVERS too! Pick it up & enjoy reading it! You might find some tips if you are ever going to vacation with or move with your own dogs! Great JOB David!

Throughout the book, out-loud laughter was mixed with tears of compassion. I really enjoyed the format, intertwining the trip with up close and personal stories about the various dogs. I first read the Library copy of this book and then just had to buy it to pass around to all my dog-loving friends.

I really enjoyed this book. I laughed out loud many times. As a dog owner myself, I could really identify with so many of the stories. I really admire the dedication it takes to help so many dogs. Really enjoyable book!

You will want to laugh & cry. the outstanding job this couple has done rescuing dogs from a certain untimely death in shelters is just miraculous. They don't shield you from the horrors of shelters....we all need to be educated about pet ownership.

This was a great book for everyone who loves dogs--especially Golden Retrievers. We had just had to put down our Golden Bart and I was feeling very sad. It is so wonderful to know there are people out there willing and able to rescue dogs that horrible people abandon.

David, and his wife decide to move their dog rescue from California to Maine. Eleven volunteers, three RVs, and 25 dogs later they are on their way. Dog Tripping tells the story of their cross country adventure. Also included are stories of some of the dogs they rescued. It was a fun book that ended all too soon.
It was kind of hard to read about the conditions that some of the dogs were rescued from. But it was still a book any dog lover would enjoy.
