This book is quite intense.
At times reading was pure agony.

The desperation and insecurity Ella feels because having fought her demons for so long and because of seemingly being hated by fate were so vivid that it tore my heart apart.

On the other side I admired Caleb’s patience and restraint with Ella and that he respected her feelings and peculiarities…

Both protagonists are amazing personalities and Ms. Croix has a way to portray them in a vivid and convincing way that makes it hard to put this book out of one’s hand.
A really intriguing and thrilling story.

The two slowly reconnect and when Caleb helps her deal with a stalker, their bond goes closer! But her past issues remain unresolved. Fantastic character development and storyline. I also enjoyed catching up with some characters from earlier books in the series. great read!

I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy. This is another of the Hot Shot Firefighter's books set in Willow Brook Alaska. Ella is Cade's younger sister. She is back in town after a ten year absence trying to outsmart a stalker she picked up...she is involved in a car accident and Caleb is the first on the scene. Ella and Caleb were a hot item back in high school, but after another accident, she fled the area. Now that she is back, the sparks and chemistry is right there between them...but you will have to read the book to see what happens and to revisit some of the characters from previous books...

This is a sweet story of second chances. Ella and Caleb were high school sweethearts. They were in a car accident which caused some turmoil and Ella left to escape her feelings. She’s back and ends up in a car accident which Caleb happens to find her. True love is meant to be and they are adorable together. I liked all the characters and the reoccurrence of former book characters. The only reason I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 is because there was ‘a lot’ of repeated back history. Overall this is a sweet romance with likable characters and a HEA which I love!

Pain, love and forgiveness is all in this beautiful book by J.H. Croix that will make you want more of the series. Tragedy struck years ago and it is still fresh in their hearts yet has made them stronger in some ways. Ella is a woman who is finding things about herself she never knew and Caleb wow. Here is a man who has endured so much and finally seeing what has been missing all his life, Ella. Loved it and cannot wait for more in this series.

This is an amazing second chance at romance for Caleb and Ella. They were in a terrible car accident in high school threat killed killed his best friend and injured her very badly. She was driving and they were got by a drink driver. After she healed, she got out of town and went to school, got a job and now she had a stalker. She has decided to move back home and taken a job at the local college. The first person she runs into? Caleb, of course! These two have such got chemistry and such great love for each other it just flows right through the pages... I read this book as an ARC and this is my honest review.

Ella is back after ten years of running away from accident that left burns and emotional injuries. Caleb is the guy who would do anything for her. Now she back in town and Caleb is saving her again. Caleb is a firefighter so he did what he trained to do. Ella back in town bacause someone was starking her. Caleb goes in to keep Ella safe mode. He is not going to let let her slip away again. See the chemistry that happens between Ella and Caleb and see how he will do all he can to keep her safe.

Loved that these two shared a past. I could understand Ella having troubles comprehending that things happening were not her fault, since guilt is a b*tch, but I was proud when she finally decided to not let the past stop the future. I loved Caleb's protectiveness and how he could read her like a book. Great read!

A wonderful second chance romance that tells about the pain of loss and guilt that comes with it. Caleb and Ella both affected by such guilt from losing their friend gave up on each other at that time. Now after all these years when they encounter each other, old sparks still fly but they are reluctant to give a chance. How they fight with the guilt thereby fighting for their love is the story. Excellent work and you get a glimpse of other fav characters too!!

Burn So Good is a second chance story between Caleb and Ella. When an uncontrollable tragedy happens, Ella’s feeling of overwhelming guilt causes her to flee from home and her first and true love. When she becomes the object of a stalkers affection, she flees back home.
This is a great addition to the Into The Fire Series. It’s great to see familiar characters from other books in this series. The main characters are great and their story is dramatic, suspenseful and sweet.

What an emotional second chance romance read. Caleb and Ella are perfect for each other. The drama and what they have gone through together and apart - makes for a great read. The characters and their situations are astounding. This one was another second chance story that hit my heart hard. The loss of their friend causing her to close off to everyone Med me want to cry. This is Caleb & Ella’s second chance. I like the story and there is enough sex to make it steamy. There is a bit of repetitiveness in the way the characters kept going back to an incident from 10 years ago. Nevertheless, it is a good story. It was hard to put down. I am voluntarily reviewing an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. This is the first book I have read in the series and it was so good that I wish I had read the previous books. The heat between Caleb and Ella sizzles so hot it might ignite your Kindle!! I recommend this book whether you are continuing the series or you happen to jump in here.

The tension in this story makes it both super powerful and amazing to read and almost painful to read. Neither of these people are bad or were cruel, but this is a second chance for the ages. You will want to cry, scream, laugh, and moan as the book progresses. Very powerful writing as always with this series and I hope these books continue.

They were together when they were younger but tragedy hits them and they went separate ways. Now they are in the same place again, so can they put the last behind them. Can life he different now they are older? See where it will go

This series just get better. I enjoyed this well written, interesting story. It had great characters and a Hot hot hot storyline. Once you start to read it pulls you in touches your heart, you can't put it down. I recommend it to all. It is worth the read. I received it as an arc and voluntarily reviewed it.

So good! This one has a little bit of everything. Romance, hot sex, mystery, danger, humor, good friends and family. Love Ella and Caleb and how they split up and came back together. Of course all of the hotshot firefighters are dreamy and Caleb is no exception. Ella has baggage but manages to work through it even though it takes a while. Love this series!!

This is a wonderfully well-written story, a real emotion filled rollercoaster ride. Ella and Caleb were childhood sweethearts but after a horrific tragedy Ella broke up with her love. Now she is back home and Calebs life just turned up side down, the love of his life is back and this time he refuses to let her go. Loving this series, each is a standalone story with a HEA.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story with great characters, romance and intrigue. It is another great story by one of my favorite authors. I can't wait for her next book. This whole series in Alaska has been great. Ella and Cade made a great couple and I couldn't put it down. They had issues to resolve, but the ending was great.

What a spectacular read. These two characters were undeniably meant to be. The plot was intriguing and grabs your attention from the beginning. The events of the main characters past had to be put to rest in order for them to move forward. The added twist with the danger at present was a fantastic addition to the plot. Another well written book to this series. The author brings strong characters in Caleb and Ella,giving them a second chance at love. She takes you on an emotional journey with the couple dealing with both past and present issues. She brings drama,suspense and intrigue along with the steamy passion and romance. Can't get enough of the Willow Brook characters! This one is my favorite kind of second chance story where neither one has done something unforgivable, neither has to find a way to forgive the other.
