I liked that the main principles of Hermetics were laid out in an organized way. If you are an advanced student of spirituality and understand works like what Neville Giddard wrote about, you can read this and understand how it's all so true.

Written a hundred years ago, or thousands of years ago, depending on how you look at it, it has much to 'say' to the many 'ready minds' of 2018. Gentle , no nonsense, clear thinking for our consideration.

There is lots to consider in this book dealing with transmutation and alchemy. It has been helpful to read through it - even just to be introduced to the principles and style, the to re-read each section to allow it to be absorbed.

I really enjoyed this book. This was the first book that I have read on The Hermetic Philosophy. I have experienced these principles in my life and noted them and it was fabulous to read it hear laid out like this! It was an easy read and it is easy to grasp the information the way it is laid out.

This is the real McCoy, yet in the most simplistic explanations. Great advice in all aspects of life. You can't go wrong on this one, every spiritually enlightened student would appreciate the wisdom of this little book. It can change your life for the better, it's a keeper. It's so good, you can't keep from chuckling every now and then. I recommend it for the up and coming students and adults of the future.

I'm giving this three stars. This particular pressing has some minor spelling issues. For those who are new to the hermetic studies, this text is a key to understanding. If one can understand and apply the wisdom here, you will have a skeleton key to doors that appear closed to the many.

This book even though small in size carries a weight of knowledge that only the truly open-minded can understand and practice.

This was my very first encounter with the Hermetic Philosophy and teachings but it seemed very familiar to me.

I finished this book in a week and I am re-reading it because of the vast knowledge it contains. I will put all I have learned into practice!

The book delves in to what really matters in life. It helps one understand how and where we stand in nature. Happiness is reached through our own thoughts, and how we are able to accept and understand the way we can manipulate our circumstances by how we view our circumstances.

I have recently had a thirst for ancient wisdom literature and this fills that bill. All the way from the ancient Egypian to what this might mean for us today -- this interest of mine -- has been piqued by this book. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to know more about him/herself and the world in which we live.

I really liked to be introduced of knowledge so old and yet still powerful. Although Hermetists say that universe is all Mental, I'd add that emotional aspect is also equally valid, for Heart and Mind are ONE and ALL that IS.

This is the foundation of all major religions. As you read it, you will see the principles that form the basis for all of the major religions within it. Good reading to understand foundation. You can find the audio version for free on the net since this is a public domain book.

Not sure what this book does for everyone else, but the rocks that I've picked up from this present day gibberish turned out to be polished valuable jewels in the future, i mean they're all over the place. The world just got smaller

This is a very interesting collection of various translations on the Smaragdine Table. While it doesn't reveal the meaning of life, it does give a glimpse into how ancient people viewed the natural world with a combination of scientific contemplation intermixed with spirituality.

I kinda I expected a TOC, page references or maybe an index. NOPE, its a straight copy from all of the online versions. I wanted it in book form for late night, casual, or bathroom reading without using my iPad. But when don't I use my iPad? Rarely, so thankfully it was cheap.

Who was Hermes Trismegistos?

It is writen in the Kybalion

"The date of his sojourn in Egypt, in that his last incarnation on this planet, is not now known, but it has been fixed at the early days of the oldest dynasties of Egypt - long before the days of Moses. The best authorities regard him as a contemporary of Abraham, and some of the Jewish traditions go so far as to claim that Abraham acquired a portion of his mystic knowledge from Hermes himself."

We have two sources of that wise man that was a contemporary of Abraham, and he was Melquisedec the King of Salem as is written in the Bible, but there is another source that has a complete information about Melquisedc, and it is The Urantia Book: where it is written:

"2. THE SAGE OF SALEM

It was 1,973 years before the birth of Jesus that Machiventa was bestowed upon the human races of Urantia. His coming was unspectacular; his materialization was not witnessed by human eyes. He was first observed by mortal man on that eventful day when he entered the tent of Amdon, a Chaldean herder of Sumerian extraction. And the proclamation of his mission was embodied in the simple statement which he made to this shepherd, "I am Melchizedek, priest of El Elyon, the Most High, the one and only God.""

7. THE MELCHIZEDEK MISSIONARIES

Melchizedek continued for some years to instruct his students and to train the Salem missionaries, who penetrated to all the surrounding tribes, especially to Egypt, Mesopotamia, and Asia Minor. And as the decades passed, these teachers journeyed farther and farther from Salem, carrying with them Machiventa's gospel of belief and faith in God.
The descendants of Adamson, clustered about the shores of the lake of Van, were willing listeners to the Hittite teachers of the Salem cult. From this onetime Andite center, teachers were dispatched to the remote regions of both Europe and Asia. Salem missionaries penetrated all Europe, even to the British Isles. One group went by way of the Faroes to the Andonites of Iceland, while another traversed China and reached the Japanese of the eastern islands. The lives and experiences of the men and women who ventured forth from Salem, Mesopotamia, and Lake Van to enlighten the tribes of the Eastern Hemisphere present a heroic chapter in the annals of the human race."
