Island of Legends (The Unwanteds)

I have read the first, second, third, and some of this book. The first book was pretty good and i finished it fast. It started going downhill from there. The rest of the books had mostly the same plot. Warning Spoilers 1, Aaron starts out visiting his brother, 2, something terrible happens to everyone, 3, there is a gruesome battle, 4, everything becomes magically good again. I thought some parts where was too intense for a children's book. This should've been a teen novel, or an adult book. Like the part where Mr. Today Dies. I mean really? He's just gone, just like that? That part was way to gruesome!!!! and he was like one of my fav characters. I didn't really care about most of the characters and they didn't really seem to grow. Also the writing wasn't that good, it was very jumpy and at times didn't make any sense. It was so slow in parts, like when their on the ship going to the island. I mean, it took forever for them to get there. Come ON!!! I liked Sky, but then she became dull after she got her voice back. I had to stop reading this book halfway in cuz it was so boring. Trust me, don't spend you time on this book. Read something else please. Here are a few suggestions. These are my favorite books in order. 1;Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and The Heroes of Olympus..( Best series's ever, Nuff said Seriously please go and read it.) 2: Warriors(Yes it's a long series, but well worth it. I love these books. So exciting and with really deep characters and human emotions. I love Crookedstar. 3: The Mysterious Benedict Society.(These are pretty wordy books, but they are the most intresting, mysterious, exciting, and deep books i have ever read. They are so awesome. 4: The Books of Beginning. (These are a little dark, but still really good. I think the 3rd one just came out. You will be dying to see how these end. They have a great plot.) 5: Narnia. These are so deep and fulfilling. You will feel so good and happy after you read these. Happy Reading

I loved this book it was wonderfull. The ending was so upsetting and sudden but also so intense and enjoyable. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Percy Jackson, The Hunger Games, or Harry Potter. It's a wonderfull mix of magic, mystery, and, above all, its a story of friendship and learning to sacrifice yourself for others.
