A really great book. Obviously not for anyone with experience but for someone like me who is just starting out it explained a lot with great descriptions and ever sources to other sites for more advanced techniques that are ahead of the book since looking for other information is always a hassle since there is so much out there. The book also gives you a great project to learn how to put it all together. I watched a 6 hour video on C# and all he did was explain what things are and what they do but never explained how to put them together or ho they can't be sued. So after the video I had a bunch of terms in my head but no idea what to even do with them. That's why the project in this book is great to help you learn how to use it all. Their wording is very clear and easy to understand and considering the price it offers a lot more for beginners than most other books on the market. Again this is for beginners not anyone experienced.

Great book for experienced programmers new to C#. All the concepts are laid out simply and concisely without too much jibber jabber. I read this book in a meter of days and now feel I have a firm grasp of the fundamentals of C#. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn this language quickly.

Good book for beginners in C#. I personally got a lot out of this, and the project in the end was excellent! Do recommend installing visual studio, and doing all the exercises, otherwise you will not get all the uses from this book.

This book is clear and great explanations are given to help this rookie get the fundamentals of this otherwise difficult language to learn.
Not much good material exists out there, so I would definitely recommend students buying this.

As a beginner myself, this book has helped me learn a great deal of the fundamentals. Obviously there is a ton more that this book does not encompass but given the price and the length it is a great value.

The book is well structured to achieve its purpose. For a purely console application, WPF is not needed. In my opinion, however, for a modern C# you can't "learn it well" without it. This is why I can't give the book a full 5star.

Very good introduction to C# language and object oriented programming. The examples are simple enough to be understood yet convey the purpose and syntax. Too many programming books present very elegant, optimized code that is a trick to decipher much less learn from. Good book!

I am reasonably knowledgeable programmer with expertise in Python and basic knowledge of C and Java. I have an idea for a Windows project and wanted to see if I could learn the basics of C#. My hope is that pre-existing programming knowledge will help jump start my learning.
I started on the book last night and so far have been impressed. Remember, this book costs $2.99 as a Kindle eBook and so my expectations were limited. It is far better than expected and I have been enjoying it.
The book is more basic than I what I would typically need because it talks about stuff variables and defines x = y and what that means. I am sure that this would be helpful for the total newbie, but it is unnecessary for me. That said, I am learning stuff about C# and am only a couple of chapters in. My hope is that it gets more advanced as the book progresses.
In summary, this book is a good deal and seems particularly well suited to programming newbies. That is not me, but I appreciate it for what it is and find that it is hard to beat for the price.

Fabulous book which I am very grateful for. I am currently studying Software Development and this has been the perfect accompanying text for me to work through alongside what we are given in class. Your book has helped consolidate a lot of the OO concepts for me and, being a complete novice, it has definitely helped me to make sense of coding languages in general - after reading this book, I 'get' it.. Your writing and explanation styles are brilliant. Thank you!

This book breaks everything for in c# for complete beginners like myself to c# my only set back is i wish i found this book sooner. You can really read this book in 1 DAY and continue to go over areas that yoj dont understand. You will have a great understanding of c# after reading this book and trying the examples given once
