Breath of the Wild The Complete Official Guide - The Legend of Zelda
Breath of the Wild The Complete Official Guide - The Legend of Zelda

Review:Even though this package took a while to get, I’m glad I finally received it yesterday afternoon. I was excited but at the same time amazed at how large the book was. It definitely felt like one of those school text books to me lol. I can’t wait to start my Zelda: BoTW over again with this new strategy guide I received. Read more

Review:This is an excellent introduction to publishing on the Web. It provides the steps required very clearly at a high level. Lots of books get lost in the detail but this brings all the pieces together in order providing a good introduction for the novice. Read more

Trapped in a Video Game (Book 1)
Trapped in a Video Game (Book 1)

Review:I bought this book for my 10 year old nephew (4th grade). He loves to read now but has been through vision therapy for dyslexia. Now that he likes reading, I really wanted to get him some fun books that would just encourage a love of reading a good book. He has been reading this to me out loud and we have both really enjoyed it. I personally like it as much as he does and I'm 44. He has been laughing out loud and we have had some fun discussions about ridiculous premises in the book, like would ... Read more

Enabling the Trust that Society Needs to Thrive - Liars and Outliers

Review:I recently had the opportunity to a get a signed copy Bruce Schneier's Liars and Outliers from a Special Offer on his blog.

I have been reading his blog for a while but had never shelled out the cash to buy one of his books. I really enjoy his writing style, everything he says is backed up by references, of the 368 pages in the book 250 are the main content and the other 118 are Notes, References and Index.

This book is a thoroughly entertaining read and has made me rethink the way... Read more

What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains - The Shallows
What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains - The Shallows

Review:I found the author had so much footnoted that I wasn't sure there was any new points he actually made. So difficult to get through; I bought if because it was a selection for my local book club. I do not agree with the author's position on the way the Internet has impacted lives and thinking (negatively). Read more

The New New Thing: A Silicon Valley Story
The New New Thing: A Silicon Valley Story

Review:This sort of thing can only happen in the US. I wish there were more places like this in the world, where people put money into your vision of the future. The story told here is just that - how an eccentric man, Clark, imagines the future and creates it through the help of the best brains in software, the VCs in Silicon Valley and of course from the investing public. The book is good to give the reader an overview of how companies and their visionary owners are creating the future. Lewis is a wr... Read more

and the Quest to Bring Down the Most Wanted Man on Wall Street

Review:This book is extremely well written and pulls together a lot of information from various sources. It also has a number of proprietary insights that made it a great read even for someone like me that followed these events very closely as they unfolded. Ms. Kolhatkar is a talented writer and she set the bar high with this one. I look forward to her next book. Read more
