i ordered these goosebump books for our school library. we had several worn out books needing replaced. i was really impressed on the excellant condition all the books were in. books were promptly sent to me. mailing (packaging) excellant. the price for the set was excellant

My 11 year old son really enjoyed the 8 Goosebumps, the only problem is they are a very quick read. The price was great too, usually at Barnes it's $7-8 a book. the store has a great price, especially when you are buying a few.

My grandson was so EXCITED when he opened the mail and there was his new Goosebumps book! He was not interested in reading until I got him hooked. I am so pleased with the fact that I can pick them out online and have them mailed to him. In a short time, he is calling me on the phone to thank me!!

A good, old-fashioned Halloween yarn is what this series does best. The Haunted Mask II is a direct sequel to Carly Beth's early Goosebumps adventure, which also continues to be a favorite of mine. It's the following Halloween, and Carly Beth, having lived through the nightmare of bonding to that devilish mask, is no longer the scaredy-cat she once was.

She's also no longer the narrator -- instead, this sequel follows one of Carly Beth's old bullies, Steve, as he deals with coaching a team of rabid animals (i.e., first-graders). The kids treat him like dirt, and with Halloween approaching, he hopes to out-do Carly Beth's horrific adventure and really scare the pants off those obnoxious kids.

The Unloved, as the haunted masks are known, are some of R.L. Stine's most creative monsters. Partially, it's because of the suggested mythology behind them; with a slew of masks desperate to tell their tale, we're limited to only experiencing a small handful of these ghastly monsters. The masks are ugly, warm, pulsing, fleshy Halloween masks that look utterly real, and throb with a desire to be worn. Once a mischievous soul dons the mask, it physically, painfully merges with that person, and the mask's personality merges with the wearer's.

Last year, Carly Beth wore the mask of what's best described as a demon; Steve, on the other hand, grabbed the mask of a dying old man covered in necrotic tissue, spiders, and a single rotting tooth. The old man is also emotionally haunted by loneliness, weakness, depression, and self-loathing anger.

Having a kid, especially a joker like Steven, take on the characteristics and feelings of someone so worn-out and unhappy is pretty rough, and the looming danger of simply running out of time feels very real. It's darker than the first, and I greatly appreciate the villain not being black-and-white, but uncomfortably grey and sympathetic.

The Haunted Mask books are a series highlight, and still hold up exceptionally well as creepy Halloween tales.

This is the worst sequel in the original series behind Haunted Mask.

Deep Trouble II opens one year after the events of the previous book. Billy and Sheena are back on summer vacation with Dr. D in the Caribbean

Then a shark starts attacking the boat. Then they are attack by some more fish monsters.Three unpleasant men show up on Dr. D's boat. The head man introduces himself as Dr. Ritter. Dr. Ritter had developed the special magical plankton using science to make fish bigger and end world hunger.

Latter on,Dr. Ritter reveals that the enchanted plankton has a serious side effect: whenever it is ingested by a human, the human turns into a fish for life.

Dr. D tries to hold Dr. Ritter down on the deck of the ship but he breaks free, grabs some plankton, and swallows it before Dr. D can call the police. Dr. Ritter then indeed does turn into a fish and merely swims away.

Sheena then takes a big gulp from another bottle of Plankton which is predictably followed by her being unsure she picked the right one.

This Books Stinks. I give it 2 stars.

speedy delivery, book in good condition, packaging very good, great price. I'm excited to be able to find and purchase this book for our school library. It's exciting to see the kids still reading Goosebumps books.

These books are a great favorite of my grandson, so I frequently order several with my other items..they are good small gifts and stocking stuffers. the store has a good selection of Goosebumps at reasonable prices
