Bound to Me

I did enjoy this novel, however, I felt like chunks of history or backstory were missing and there could've been more character development of, or really, relationship development between, the H/h. I thought about only giving three stars, but there was enough plot there to make me glad I read it despite its flaws.

Speaking of, there needs to be some additional editing for missing & duplicated words. There are also many instances of words being flipped around in a sentence, with this issue occurring more frequently towards the end of the book. A little annoying while reading, but not nearly as bad as misspelled words, IMO.

Overall, a good read with plenty of emotion.

Overall, this was a well-written book. The characters were all likeable yet flawed. Sophie was great. There were a few moments where I cringed (even in fiction I don't like when people are roped into participating in a scene without their explicit permission, so the hotel foodservice scene did bother me). But for the most part it was sexy and still had substance. Cheesy substance, but who doesn't love some good happy cheese now and again.

This was a pretty good read the main character kept contradicting herself one minute she was this strong farm girl the next she was almost throwing up because of some emotion taking her over. Still a good read.

I really loved this book because of the strong female lead. Most books make the guy in charge with these depressing female characters. Well not this book. It will take you for a loop and still break your heart!

I normally gravitate towards the dom/sub type books, so thought I would give this one a try. Although this seems to be a dom/sub book, it's much more than that. My wife normally reads the juicy, mushy books and doesn't read the domination type, I think I will recommend this one to her. The story kept me reading, didn't want to stop. Very few books in my genre will do that, so I can say I'm a Katie Ashley fan now.
