A great book. Lots of action, lots of space battles.
Spoiler alert required for complaints:
Space ships are not musical chairs.
Character development is a bit off but that is explained though it still gives me mental whiplash.

I have enjoyed reading Randolph Lalonde's Spinward Fringe series. That having been said, the author should seriously consider getting a proofreader, or, if he believes he has one already, firing him or her and getting a decent one. The pervasive grammatical mistakes and typos are more than just a distraction - they result in user confusion, generally requiring a re-read of the sentence, in order to infer the author's intent. The author's worst nemesis seems to be the comma splice, although his grasp of when to use a comma, when not to, or when it is preferred in general are all topics he should study further. These couple of issues alone are so annoying, it even prompted this reader to write a review.
I value the model of authors publishing their work electronically, without the involvement of a publisher. However, the benefits accrued therefrom hardly necessitate or justify forfeiting quality proofing. I think we can expect better, as it would involve little cost or effort on the author's part, and would remarkably improve the read.

Another good book in the Spinward Fringe series. There are times that it felt a bit disjointed or rushed. I have some questions about the actions of Citadel and feel like that could have been better explained. However, they are a super secret faction, so maybe we would be left guessing as to their motivation. Can't wait to read the next broadcast!

Randolph Lalonde just gets better and better with each book. Trying not to give any details away, Broadcast 9 gives us more insight into our favorite characters, and we get to see a whole new side of Jake. I loved this book!

It has been fun watching this huge story evolve. The fact that Mr. LaLonde's skills have been polished through hard work is obvious to anyone who has been on board since broadcast 0. The story started out good with lots of interesting ideas. But character development and scene transitions are better than ever. The story flows more smoothly and it is easier to keep track of all the characters and the various threads of the story. This is space opera at it's best. More than ready for broadcast 10. Well done Mr. LaLonde!

There are plenty of unanswered questions too. What happened to Liam Grady and the alliance between the Order and Earth.
Read it if you are fan of the series but don’t expect something exciting or new.
