Heirs and Graces: A Royal Gem

Bowens novels are always a delight to read. True to her form this novel contains suspense, interesting characters,
romance and a touch of humor.

Fans of Rhys Bowen's Lady Georgiana Rannock will delight in devouring this latest in the series. All your favorites are on scene as Lady Georgie reasons her way through the latest bizarre murder, this time set at a lovely English country estate. And to Georgie's delight, there is plenty of delicious food and even better, her even more delicious beau, Darcy. New characters are well developed and believable. Descriptions of the palatial home and grounds take you there. Ms. Bowen is at her best and her gift for a humorous turn of phrase provides a welcome laugh at unexpected times. My only complaint is it will be SUCH a long wait until the next installment. Bravo, Ms. Bowen!

I have read all 7 of the Royal Spyness Mysteries. They are intriguing and charming, just my cup of tea. Georgi is an heiress to the crown of England. However she is way down the totem pole for that. The Queen (Victoria, I think) is alway asking her to preform impossible tasks (pro bono of course). Georgi never refuses and often winds up in the midst of some murder mystery,
She has lived in London in the family mansion without servants or heat. She has even worked as a charwoman. Even worse is living thru Scotish winter with no heat or pin money.

Much more, but I don't want to give anymore away.

Rhys Bowen has created several good series and this is a fun read. I get these for my wife who enjoys the author's take on the England of the 30s and finds some of her observations amusing if not completely accurate. The book arrived quickly and in great condition. I recommend the seller.

Loved the writing style and layout of this book and series. Ms. Bowen has managed to give her readers a new story in each edition, and as soon as I see the next one coming up for publication, I pre-order it so it won't slip by when it is put on the market for sale. Keep up the good work, it is one of a few series that never gets repetitive.

Rhys Bowen has a delightful character in Georgie (Lady Georgiana Rannoch). When you read this series you can hardly wait to see what mess Georgie will get into next. You will want to read every book in this series!

I love the Royal Spyness series and Rhys Bowen continues to write funny, entertaining mysteries that truly engage. The romance between Darcy and Georgie is moving along though I may be impatient in a few books if a marriage doesn't take place!

all the Royal Spyness Mystery novels are great entertainment with interesting characters. The main character, Lady Georgiana, a young level-headed adult, keeps bumping into murders all over the globe. Amusing and witty.

Heirs and Graces was a great addition to the series. Its fun to see real history pop into each storyline in these books. This 7th book in the series was fun to read and made me wanting the 8th immediately.
