Lexi's engaged to be married to baseball's superstar Collin, but instead of getting excited for their upcoming wedding, she felt trapped and confused. Imagine being in a relationship for four years without any physical connection at all except for a couple of chaste kisses here and there? I for one, thought Collin was gay. I didn't buy his reason that he's respecting Lexi or just honoring her reputation. But I gave him the benefit of the doubt. That is until Raven came into the picture.

The Raven, one seriously hot male specimen, star quarterback of the university's football team. A notorious playboy who kept on changing and dating different girls every single day. Lexi and him met when he needed to be tutored in grammar and English. Their brief moments together made Lexi realize what she'd been missing in a relationship. Before she knew it. she's been caught in the Raven's trap, and didn't want to get out of it.

Just like Lexi, I was also caught in Raven's trap, along with his million of fans. Raven could fuel up an evening with just a smirk or a smile on his face. I liked how the author made Raven's character grow as the story progressed. I still don't get Collin's issues, though. I really think he's gay, but whatever. Her BFF Delaney and her brother Luke were quite interesting characters too. In the end, I liked how Lexi stood up for herself and showed everyone that she too deserve a life of her own, to be happy and not to be dictated by her parents nor pressured to do something she isn't comfortable of. My only concern was the ending was kind of abrupt. But maybe Book 2 holds the answers to some of the questions in my head! Can't wait to read the sequel!

I simply loved this book. It had a beautiful story line, with marvelous characters. It was great trying to figure out which college the characters attended ( I think I figured it out though... ). I would 100%, no doubt, recommend this book to everyone.

SPOILER ALERT!!! I loved this book so much. My heart broke over and over for Lexi. All she wanted was to feel loved, be loved, be shown affection, and to be first in Collins life. All Collin cared about was baseball, scholarship, and pleasing his parents. He never showed her affection. Then comes along Raven. Oh my he's so opposite from Collin. Raven was always attentive, flirting, and he listened to Lexi. He made her feel alive. The more she tutored Raven the closer they got. When she finally broke things off with Collin she cut ties with Raven and went into hiding. I felt so bad for her. But Raven never gave up he tested, came to see her, and then sent her football tickets and a Jersey. She went to the game. I'm so glad she did. Finally she can be happy and feel cared for. I did not want this book to end. Cannot wait for the next book. Great read!

While the writer is proficient, I dislike the h and the H. I don't like his dirty talk ("go play with yourself so you'll be ready...") Ugh.
I also don't like the whole attitude that premarital sex is necessary for a normal, happy relationship.
Her bf is portrayed as unable to act loving to her out of "respect"....homeschooling was awful (for the record, it's more social than regular schooling...been there)...her parents run her life, her wedding, her everything.
I guess the author is just presenting a radical picture of religious values,, which probably does exist somewhere, but which is too OTT for me to enjoy. I'm done at 47%.

Enjoyed this book. Thank you for offering it up free, because the cover definitely caught my eye. Like how so many view points were brought to light, ie how her homeschooling parents affected her life overall, Collin's parents (oh brother) and the way her friend Delaney kept her up and lol, anxious. I am so frustrated with that Collin, I just want to find out what his real deal is!
