This book really threw me off guard. I figured out the main plot point 50% in BUT I will admit there was a key point I missed and that’s what basically made my head explode. If you’re looking for a just romance type of read I wouldn’t recommend this just because it barely touches the topic. The same thing with avid mystery/thriller book readers they might find the story lacking that “whoa” effect. Besides that I really like the pacing of the story. I really liked how the author provided us with the occasional flashback chapters. I legit want to read everything by K. A. Tucker now. I just love how her story telling sucks me in.

This was amazing, wow! Many twists and turns that I did not see coming. I have only previously read one of KA Tucker's books, Until It Fades, which I also loved. This was SO different and I was initially hesitant because I wasn't sure how suspense would be compared to romance, but I absolutely loved it. Excellently done and I can't wait to read more from her backlist!

Thank you to Atria books for an advance copy of Keep Her Safe. All opinions are my own.

Well if this ain't something different all together ! !
Tucker takes us to a whole new level of romance. Very, very suspenseful with twists and turns I didn't see coming.
I realise how much work must have been put into it to make this amazing detective/romance top level.
Fans will definitely not be disappointed and for those who haven't read any of her books yet, this is a standalone so what the h££l are you waiting for ! ! :p

Beautifully suspenseful and full of intrigue, Mrs. Tucker continues to amaze. Messy police departments are not unusual to our society today and yet this book tackles the mess with a story line that keeps the reader turning pages. I don't want to give details away, but this truly is a must read novel for 2018!

This book pulled me in from the beginning. I admit I rushed the beginning because I wanted to see what was going on and about half way I slowed down. I enjoyed how story rolled out and shocked me with new information. My whole family checked on me when I yelled out loud in exclamation at a shocking revelation. Very solid and intriguing mystery.

Keep Her Safe is a thrilling, thought provoking story. K.A. Tucker will keep you on your toes with this one. I usually can figure out where a story is going, but holy hell my mind was all over the place. I loved it! Definitely a roller-coaster of a story.

Keep Her Safe is such an intriguing and captivating story!!! The web of lies, deceit, and secrets that are revealed will keep you guessing all the way through.

I won’t be talking too much about the storyline because this is a story that needs to unfold as you read it. Keep Her Safe is K.A. Tucker’s newest standalone novel. It is told in Dual POV and it unfolds in both present time and past flashbacks. I loved how she wrote this story.

This was a different side to K.A. Tucker’s writing. I felt this book was definitely darker than anything else she has ever released. The only thing I felt that was kind of unfinished was the ending. Don’t get me wrong the story is complete and there is NO Cliffhanger, but I just wanted more from the ending. Maybe an epilogue a year down the road.

I have always enjoyed reading Ms. Tucker’s books and this was no different. I love that she continues to give us original and unique storylines and characters you can’t help but fall in love with. Keep Her Safe was the perfect mix if suspense and drama with just enough romance to fill your heart also. I think Noah and Grace are probably my two favorite characters that she has given us. They come from different worlds but actually are very similar. Grace is such a strong and sassy heroine and Noah was just perfect in my head. I think you will want to meet these two characters.

K. A. Tucker’s books are so well written, that you can’t help but feel like you are swept away into their worlds.

So if you are looking for that romantic suspense novel that will captivate you and suck you into the story, this is the book you should read. If you are a fan of Ms. Tucker’s writing than don’t miss this latest gem of a story. You won’t believe how it all unravels!!!!

Noah Marshall has just been blindsided by his mother, she just admitted to him that her road to becoming the police chief wasn't always on the up and up and that she has done some shameful things to rise to the top... things that left the lives of good people completely in ruins. Now he is left wondering what parts of her life are actually true, who around him can be trusted, and after he finds a duffel bag full of cash that is tied to his childhood best friend he decides he needs to find her to find the truth. He's hoping Grace can give him the answers he needs... little does he know their visit after all these years could also bring him so much more!

Grace Richards life hasn't turned out quite the way she thought it would, especially when she looks back at what it use to be before her father screwed everything up, she was once happy and safe, now she is constantly looking over her shoulder expecting there to be trouble waiting for her and her mother. Her mother a fighting a losing battle with addiction, she is constantly concerned about their personal safety, and constantly wondering where their next meal will come from, and she hates every damn minute of it. If only things could be different for her...

Keep Her Safe is an engrossing tale riddled with suspense, secrets, and twists and turns that are sure to keep you flipping the pages in search of answers!! Wow what a read, this one totally took me by surprise, I was expecting Ms. Tucker's usual literary m.o., but she totally amped up her game and offered up a romantic suspense read that is certain to knock readers sock off! She has previously won me over with her heartfelt emotional reads, and now she has me sitting up and taking notice with this current suspenseful offering, I think it is safe to say she has found her niche in the suspense category too. I thoroughly enjoyed following Noah and Grace along their journey, they kept me captivated from start to finish!! Highly recommend!! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

What attracted me first to this book was the blurb. Described as “Making a Murderer meets Scandal” (and I really love Scandal) and as the story about two people from completely different backgrounds with hints of suspense and romance, I couldn’t wait to put my hands on it.

The protagonists of the novel are Noah Marshall and Gracie Richards. I loved his Southern politeness (calling everyone ‘sir’ or ‘ma’am’) and her stubbornness and independence. Noah and Gracie grew up together in Austin. His mother and her father were police officers, partners, and best friends. But when Noah was 11 years old and Gracie was 6, her father died during what seemed a drug deal gone wrong and he was accused of being corrupted. So her mother packed their things and moved them to live in Arizona in a trailer park, while Noah’s mother climbed up her way through the Austin Police Department to become Chief.

Fourteen years later, after tragedy strikes, Noah and Gracie meet again to find answers to the mystery surrounding their parents and to find out the truth about what really happened to Gracie’s father.

I loved the main characters, the evolving relationship between Noah and Gracie and their witty exchanges. I liked that Noah was good and honest and that Gracie was determined and strong and how they hit it off right away.

I liked how the author confronts themes of racial injustice, corruption, and different backgrounds. You are aware of the presence of these themes in the story but they don’t weigh too much on the plot. KEEP HER SAFE is a romantic suspense novel with the right amount of romance and the right amount of police story. The mystery seems easy to solve but I found a few twists that took me by surprise.

Alternating between the past and the present and between characters, KEEP HER SAFE is carefully plotted and beautifully written. It is one of these books that I couldn’t put down and I couldn’t wait to go back to read and it is out now.

There are two aspects to this story: the actual mystery and the romance. I greatly preferred the mystery to the romance.

I was automatically drawn to the secret that Noah's mother revealed to him. It promised to be the start of a complex tale - and it was! I loved all of the different twists and turns that the story took, making every single character a suspect. The author also did a great job highlighting important issues like corruption and human trafficking. However, I found the story to be quite long and I don't think every part of it was necessary.

While I didn't realize this novel had a romantic suspense angle, I didn't quite love it. I liked Noah's character just fine but I didn't really like Grace. She was far too stubborn and pigheaded and there were moments where I really wish she had used some common sense. I have no problem reading about fiery female protagonists but when they act in an unintelligent way, it really annoys me. I also didn't really find the development of the relationship between Noah and Grace believable. The beginning of it was a little too forced and fast-paced, but it eventually worked out as the story progressed.

I went into this novel with very high hopes because of a lot of positive reviews, however I didn't love it as much as I wanted. It had a good plot and interesting twists, but I didn't like all of the characters and I thought the romance aspect developed a little too quickly for my liking. I would give this a 2/5 star rating!

I really enjoyed this book and will look forward to reading others by K A Tucker.

Noah Marshall enjoyed his growing up years as his mother was involved with the police department and later became the Chief. His Uncle was the DA. So he always felt safe in his town. His mother's partner, Abe, and best friend spent time with Noah as his coach and treated his as a son. Abe was married and had a daughter, Gracie.

When something happens to Abe, he is gunned down, but everyone accuses him of stealing money and running drugs. Even Noah's mother, Jackie, believes it. Abes wife takes their daughter and moves out of town as everyone accuses Abe of being a crooked cop.

Now years later, Noah's mother, Jackie, commits sucide, leaving Noah wondering why. She leaves him a note about some hidden money, $98,000. She tells Noah to find Grace and give the money to her and her mother as she treated them wrong. Now Noah doesn't know what to believe. Did his mother know more about the killing of Abe then she let anyone know? Where did she get the money?

Noah finds Gracie and helps her find out the truth after all these years. A great love story and action book!

Keep Her Safe has been a much anticipated book for me for 2018. I was eagerly anticipating release day. Wouldn't you know I went on NetGalley and it was there for review. I requested a copy and in no time it was approved.

I love Ms. Tucker's YA romance novels but I must say she has outdone herself with this mystery romance standalone. Now there is a touch of romance but it's not what the basis of the book is. The mystery/suspense is off the hook. You'll be chomping at the bit trying to figure out the whodunit in this one.

I love how Ms. Tucker gives us tiny hints along the way without divulging too much info. The twists & turns will have your head spinning. When all is revealed at the end it's a huge "WOW" moment. Some mystery books I can read & figure out what's going to happen or figure out whodunit but not with this one & for me that's huge points for the author.

It's so good to see an author who can step outside their wheelhouse and still give you a tale so intriguing & compelling that you lose time with your head & mind engrossed in the building storyline.
