I really enjoyed this angsty and dramatic romance. Despite their challenges, it was easy to root for Arrow and Mia to be together, and the conclusion was emotionally satisfying. I would definitely recommend it.

This was a struggle between doing what is right and doing nothing. Bailey is a hoot and Arrow and Mia are a hot mess. I think she could have told us more about Arrow and why he was such a force on the field. I felt like I was missing part of the story. I had a few laughs and shed a few tears but I wanted more.

Somewhat dark, but still couldn't put it down. The grief and pain were portrayed equally as real as the passion of true love and the fear it can bring. Award winning happy ending that has me aching for the next book already.

I am just speechless! This book was beyond amazing and definitely one I will remember forever. Such a touching story of sorrow, grief, and love. This was my first book by this author and I can't wait to read more!!

The characters had depth and were pretty believable. Only the plot was pretty cliche, no big surprises. I cant imagine, though, a situation like this where someone is hurt and the police arent looking for answers. That wasnt very believable.

I try to be respectful when writing a negative review. I have heard this author is well loved and this is the only book I've read by her. So take my review accordingly. It is a tricky thing to write a book (successfully) that flashes between past and present. I didn't think it worked here. The story starts off in the present in the aftermath of a terrible tragedy that has completely scarred our main characters. We start off with hostile animosity between the H and h and as the flashbacks go along the reader is left to slowly piece together what occurred on that terrible night several months ago. The main and secondary characters all have a history that doesn't quite translate emotionally. I think that if the plot had been linear in time instead I could have connected better with all of the characters and the tragedy that took place. I never did feel the connection between the H and h or any of the other characters. There was also too much melodrama and too many tragic dilemmas. Not believable at all. Totally like a Lifetime movie involving some huge teenage/parental plot. In addition I did not like Mia. At first she seems like a strong independent woman but she takes too much crap from her employers and she also is very wishy-washy about her "love" for her boyfriend and the H Arrow. Love triangle alert. I found Mia to be very vapid and silly and I never did believe in the love story. For me more a HFN than an HEA.

Fantastic read. Lexi has a way of making you love the characters, feeling their joys and suffering with their pain. Her characters are almost real, as if these are actual people you have met in your daily life. Their hopes and dreams are familiar, but their struggles are just like the ones we live.

Absolutely recommend the book to all my friends. There were times through out the story that I was so frustrated with the characters. I had to read the whole book to see that my suspicions were on target. Looking forward to the other books in the series.

Good writing, just more for the teenage to young 20' reading zone for me I think. It's about college students and usually they can still be New Ault, this read to me definitely feels like the Young Adult category. The writing was good just again it's all about college age kids and a accident and lies that change so many in book.

Really superb start for a series. I loved Arrow and how deep and dark his character was, even though Mia was a bit wishy-washy. The sexual combustion between them was evident from the beginning and only got hotter as the book proceeded. This book had it's surprising moments and definitely some very tender, heart crushing moments as well. Ryan did an excellent job combining them and creating characters that were both likable but also relatable as well.
