Love, love, love The Kindred series!!! Evangeline is an amazing author with an incredible imagination and way of bringing her story to life. She's really thought out the worlds and characters where you feel like they could possibly exist.....in another reality, of course. LOL I love how she includes a dictionary at the end each story. I can't wait to continue the series!!

The author made the story line credible and I enjoyed reading the books. Characters interesting, nice amount of humor. But even though I would like to know what happens next I won't be purchasing another book in the series. The erotica and S&M had me skipping through pages. Overdone on the sex descriptions, especially since the stories could easily stand alone with much less of it.
Brides of the Kindred 7 - (Alien Scifi Romance) :: (Alien Shapeshifter Romance) (Brides of the Kindred Book 16) :: Kindred (Jefferson Tayte Genealogical Mystery) :: Book 5 The Kindred Series (Volume 5) - Phoenix Rising :: Brides of the Kindred book 8 - (Alien Sci-fi Romance)

The kindred series is one of the best futuristic series I have read. They are a very intruguing new race that I just want to keep exploring. On both books that have been published in the series I had a very hard time putting it down. This one I had even more trouble with than the last. I love this new race. There are three differnt kinds of kindeds. Each is very intriguing in their own way. The relationships between the kindred and thier women are amazing and their paths and bumps in the road make for an amazing journy. This book could possibly stand alone, but I wouldn't recomend it. I would definatly start with the first in the series which is 'Claimed'. If you didn't, first you would miss out on a great read, and may have some unanswered questions conserining the Scourge. The scourge are the enemy in series. Highly recommended series and very enjoyable. I very much look forward to the next book in this line and hope that there may even be more in the future for the kindred race.

This author has one heck of an imagination. I wasn't aware there would be so much erotica in these books, if that is what you are looking for ..this will probably work for you. If you are actually looking for SciFi as I was this will hold your interest. I did begin with Book #1 "Claimed". The author recommends you read these in order and I agree...for the usual reasons......enjoy

This was an excellently written book. Anderson really knows how to pack it in and keep you going!
I cried, I loved and I laughed my butt off. It was the perfect combination of humor, romance, adventure and personality. If you are thinking of reading this book, make sure you read the first book before you do. There is some important backstory that will really fill in the blanks.
The author could probably get more money for the story as well, it is by far worth what you pay and more!

Very exciting and steamy book. Many plot twists, but they're good ones that will keep you turning the pages and looking to see what happens next. Yes it's alien and sci-fi, but it's done with very complex and lovable characters that draw you in and make you truly able to immerse yourself in their world and believe it could be a reality. Cannot wait to read more of this series!!

Follows very well with the first in the series of claimed. Giving the thought that Sophia is fighting the enviable for her building love of a kindred warrior just like her sister. It keeps you tied in with the characters making you wish it was you with the warrior.

The author paints a enchanting picture of another species and other worlds that captivated my imagination. I thought I was just buying a erotic novel but got and wonderful series instead...... And there are so many books in the series! I can't wait to read them all.

#2 in the Brides of the Kindred series, and better than the first.
This book is labeled "super plus" length, and that was really my biggest complaint: it was too long. A lot of the book was the same scene over and over, just moving the setting where the heroine and hero engage in the no-we-shouldn't, but yes-we-must sex scene. This is erotica, after all.
Anderson always follows the same format: the stuttering and blushing sexual innocent confronted with the overwhelming maleness of her hugely endowed primitive ravisher, and a very specific fetish that I've never read anywhere else.
If you've read the author before, you know what to expect. If not, this is a solid introduction to her style. And in terms of bang for your buck (double entendre intended), you can't beat the price.

I have enjoyed the premise of these books and the plot is good, but I have a hard time with the female leads. The author sets up the men as such wonderfully amazing men that its hard to relate to the reluctance of the female lead. I very much liked Sylvan, but sophia was harder to connect with even in spite of her horrible past. An okay read, some pretty steamy love scenes, but takes forever for them to get to the ulitimate union.

I can't say enough great things about this author. Her stories are well written, interesting, she takes time to develop her characters and leaves you wanting the next story. Each book could be read as a stand alone but start at book 1 and you'll be glad you did. I love the fact the author is building a network of stories and each build on the others. I'm eagerly awaiting the next!.

Heart pounding romance that will have you hooked from the very first page
In this next installment of the Kindred series we get to see more of Sylvan and Olivia's twin Sophie. We got teasers of this couple in the first book and I was excited to see how things would play out between them.
Sophie is such a sweet character and Sylvan was perfect for her. He was the one that was always calm and cool, but whenever Sophie came around he would lose that coldness almost immediately and I thought it was so sweet and loved how their affection for each other grew slowly and how much stronger their love was because of that.
Things heated up between them gradually as well. There were many moments when they become a little more acquainted with each other and each of them helped to build up for when they finally joined. Some of those moments came by because of some misunderstandings, which turned out to be very fortunate for Sophie in my opinion.
The action was fast paced and exciting. I really liked the villain too because he had a reason to be evil and wasn't just a stand in. He was evil the things he did were cruel and unthinkable and was glad every time someone was able to beat him in any way.
The story also brings out new characters and I was really interested in the twin's who had their sights set on Kat. Their power was interesting as well and I like how the author describes these new cultures it is unique, interesting, and sometimes funny.
If you have not read this series yet you are definitely missing out. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes sci-fi romances or who just loves a great romantic read.

The second instalment of the BRIDES OF THE KINDRED series continues its white knuckle ride. Focussing on other characters met in CLAIMED, the plot continues at a good pace and although the erotic scenes are sprinkled throughout the story, the plot and action are what keeps you reading this very entertaining story. Who wouldn't want to be a Bride of one of the various Kindred warriors. Where do I sign up?

I'm really really really starting to get into Evangeline Anderson's series. I loved the first book, and where this one started out slow, it picked up, and has me on the edge of my seat for the next one.
This is Sophie and Sylvan's book. Sophie had some pretty heavy stuff happen to her in the past that leads her to be afraid of Sylvan, and of Sylvan's fangs. The first part of the book, after Sylvan's shuttle crashes while trying to get Sophie back to Earth after the mating ceremony was kind of slow for me. I mean, we get a lot of back story on the two characters, which is nice, and some pretty hot scenes between Sylvan and Sophie, but other than that, this part of the book is pretty bland.
It isn't, in my opinion, until after Sylvan and Sophie find their way back from this disaster that the book starts getting good. Sylvan starts distancing himself from Sophie, and Sophie doesn't know how to feel about it. Plus, the Scourge seem to think that Sophie is the fulfillment to their prophecy, so, they're gunning for her as well.
All in all, this book was written really well, and about half way through, picked up to the point that I couldn't put it down. If you decide to pick this book up, be sure to read the first one first, and stick with it, even though it may get slow with times. In this book, we get further glimpses at Kat, Deep, and Lock, who are the subjects of Ms. Anderson's next book, which I can't wait to read. This book kind of ends on a cliffhanger that starts the next book, so, have it ready.
As always, Ms. Anderson's scenes are scorching hot, and if you're not alone, and able to relieve some of your tension, you may find yourself very frustrated while reading this book. I will also warn that Ms. Anderson covers a pretty heavy subject in this book, which she does give a disclaimer about in the start. DO NOT SKIP THE DISCLAIMER!
This book is wonderful, and anyone who picks it up won't be sorry! I can't wait to continue this wonderful series! :)

There are enough positive reviews and recaps of this series that I'm not going to get into it. I read all of these books, and although the second one was my favorite, they were all fantastic!! I even got my husband to read them all, and they're probably the first romance books he's ever read. He really enjoyed them. There was just enough violence/mystery/action to keep him involved (plus, he wanted to know what made me so on fire most nights). The Kindred are super-crazy-hot, and their protective/macho/softie-ness is just irresistible. The chicks are hot, too. Better, even than the hotness, love scenes and sexy studs (OK, well, not better than- what's better than sexy, protective studs?), is the fact that there's an actual genuine plot, and an intricate and well though-out one at that.
This particular book was my absolute favorite. You just have to love the super-hot vampire-like macho brooding guy. It had humor to lighten the mood, and lots of danger and action to keep hubby (and me) interested in the story, too. The heroine was exceedingly traumatized by a past event that prevented her from accepting our hero until way into the book- which made for a lot of really great sexual tension. The hero had a bit of a complex, too, so that made it even better. You absolutely must read all of these books, in order, to get the full effect!
ENJOY!!

Love this series! In this story we have a romance between Sophie and Sylvan. We get little glimpses of the budding romance between Sophie's best friend Kat and Sylvan's twin brothers Lock and Deep.
Such a great concept, and filled with steamy sex scenes.

I love the series. Sylvain is loving. Patient. So sweet. Sophie has been through a lot of horrible situations. While I understand the sex I do not understand why the other issue dragged on so long. I was ready to to scream. I felt horrible for Xairn. please. please. give him a happy ending.

Evangeline Anderson knows how to fulfill those sic-fi erotica wishes yet weave a story of two compatible species into exciting, page-turning, can't-put-the-book-down kind of reading that kept me buying the next book and the next and the next till I'd read them all. Love those Kindred Warriors and their brides!

I struggled to finish Hunted. The heroine has to be the biggest whiner I've ever had the misfortune to spend time with. She has a needle phobia--the hero has fangs -- because she was ill as a child and received too many transfusions. As someone who spent three months in the hospital as a ten year old, her reactions don't true. These were life-saving treatments and would have been viewed as such. Then there's her rape as a teenager. Does this author actually expect the reader to buy she didn't talk to someone -- her sister, her best friend, both of whom know about it, or a rape survivor's group. Where this author could have had Sophia strong, a survivor, she made her a whiny, spoiled child. Where I'd worried about Liv dealing with AllFather, with Sophia, I didn't care if he sucked her soul dry.

Read the first three books of the series and will not read any others. The books are good and well written but feel they are kinda similar to each other. The females are so wishy washy and the males even though very alpha are so sweet and every girls wet dream. Good read if you are in between books and have some free time.

This 2nd book in the Brides of the Kindred series far surpasses the 1st, especially regarding the plot structure and character development. The struggles that Sylvan and Sophia face are compelling and the sexual tension coupled with the danger and suspense of the ever evil Sourge make this book hard to put down. Additionally, the glimpses into the other character's lives rounds out the story and provides variety to the plot.

I enjoyed getting to know Sylvan and Sophia in the first installment. Sophia overcame a lot. But then so does Sylvan which makes the whole story just that much more romantic. just the right blend of love, sex, and mystery along with some really evil aliens and humans, to keep the story flowing well.

Book 2 in the Brides of the Kindred series
Being hesitant to read the series at first, I am now GLAD that I have all seven books on my Kindle ready to read and look forward to book 8. I was and still am absolutely in love with Sylvan
Hunted follows Sophia and Sylvan [secondary characters introduced in book 1, Claimed] and their complicated journey of self discovery, healing and love. Sophia, an elementary school art teacher, comes with a painful past which left her afraid to feel or fall in love. She also suffers from a phobia of needles and anything sharp due to a childhood illness. Sylvan, a Tranq Kindered, has made a vow never to call a bride after a devastating rejection back on his home planet, Tranq Prime. The two troubled souls seem to attract each other like magnets yet neither one of them wants to admit to how they truly feel about each other. When Sophia's life is threatened, Sylvan does everything in his power to keep her safe.
Once again, Evangeline's imagination and literary talent took me on a journey I will never forget. The characters are well developed and have intense chemistry yet neither one wants to give into their feelings, fearing the other will not reciprocate. I loved reading both of the characters points of view. Their past pain and suffering as well as growth and slow healing of each other throughout the story made me really connect with the characters and what they went through emotionally and physically. Evangeline has a certain writing style she sticks to, especially when it comes to describing the character's background or surroundings - which makes the reader see EXACTLY what she describes in a scene without a single shadow of doubt. This woman has some serious talent painting a literary picture.
Favorite Quotes:
* "I'll always stand by you, Brother - in danger, darkness or despair" [a warrior's pledge]
* "Your pain is my pain. Your wounds, mine to heal. I give you the blood of my body, the heart from my chest"
* "I offer myself to you freely, warrior, blood, body, and soul"
* "Your heart was never frozen - it was just bruised"
* "Bite me, Sylvan. I'd rather have a bite from you than a kiss from anyone else"
* "I had no idea you were underage" <--- made me laugh

The story is a good idea, new and humorous.
However, there are many , many typos and grammar issues that could easily be fixed fixed by an editor who actually reads the book as they are paid to- not the authors fault.

I've been anxiously awaiting the release of Hunted...and I was NOT disappointed!! I loved Claimed (first book in the Kindred series) and have been imagining the possibilities between Sylvan and Sophia ever since. This author has surpassed even my own fantasies for this couple. I love the fact that we still get to see the main characters from Claimed, Baird and Olivia...plus we get a nice little taste of dynamics between the next leading lady and her men (book three - Sought - hopefully to be released soon {hint hint}). I also hope that Xairn gets his own book, I can see so much potential in his character.
Overall, I highly recommend both Claimed and Hunted. Well worth $2.99 each!! And now I find myself anxiously awaiting again!
