I love Jefferson Tayte and the scrapes he gets into. This storyline was a little more complicated than his other cases, and the reader would do well to make a small tree of the characters involved. It is still quite a page turner with a magnificent twist at the end!

I have recently read another book that also involved the description of WW !! and the terrible atrocities that took place. It is hard to read and therefore i did not enjoy this book as much as I did his other geneology books.

Have read all of author Steve Robinson's novels involving Jefferson Tayte and have enjoyed them all. Mr. Robinson is a wonderful story teller and engages the reader in tales from many different eras. Genealogist Tayte, while searching for his own parentage, becomes embroiled in the lives and lineages of clients and mysteries that take the reader on a great ride. Can't wait for the next book!

This was as entertaining as the other books in the series, and I find Robinson's ability of reverting to the past as the best way to tell these stories. I also recommend this whole series of books as a good read with mystery, history and danger to keep you totally intrigued.

As a genealogy buff myself, I thought Kindred was a super read, full of twists and turns, history, emotions and a little insight into unearthing your german genealogy records. Also like his previous books, but this one was the best.

I wouldn't miss reading Steve Robinson's books. I love the Jefferson Tate character and look forward to the next book. Tate manages to avoid being eliminated but the suspense of it all is exciting to follow.

I like this whole series. Being a nut about family history, I love to see how he goes about finding out new information about the people he is looking for. There is always a good mystery wound in with the genealogy.

Another great Jefferson Tayte novel by Steve Robinson. This one gets deeper into Tayte's past and keeps the reader wondering: Is he the son of a notorious Nazi war criminal? And this is not the only question that keeps you turning the pages.

I have truly enjoyed reading the Jefferson Tayte mysteries. "You can't choose your family," and when you go hunting through the family closet, you never know what you might find. This book was a "good read" and I couldn't put it down. As someone who has worked in the military history field, I can honestly say that the facts and feel of the historical flashbacks in Kindred are spot on. Steve Robinson certainly does his homework.

As always, "Kindred", like Robinson's other books, is a fast read and a page turner. While it does get a bit draggy in places, the plot line is wonderful and the ending not expected. I can't wait for his next one!

I purchased the first book in this series and after the first chapter bought the other 4. These books are truly amazing. Love the rumpled hero with the lion heart. I've now read all 5 and will continue to watch fire more from Steve Robinson. Jefferson Tayte has found his own roots and what will he do next????
