I LOVE KARIN SLAUGHER, SHE NEVER WRITES ANY THING I DO NOT LIKE. I READ THIS BOOK IN ONE FULL DAY. COULD NOT PUT THE BOOK DOWN. I AM LOOKING FOR ANOTHER BOOK WITH TRENT IN IT. VERY VERY GOOD READING. READING TAKES YOUR TROUBLES AWAY. SO BUY AN ENJOY I SURE DID.

Love Karen Slaughter 's books. Fast passed, action , could've put this book down , finished it in one day. I was looking for a different mystery writer for awhile and came across her name, I'm hooked! I've read several books already by her. Most of them are series love ,love them.

I like this series. It's set in Atlanta, featuring a flawed hero. My only complaint about this book is that you don't get to see much of Will Trent - the 'hero'. There are some classic crystal clear descriptions of places and things in Atlanta that are very good writing. A few things that the entire series shares is that you would think its always more than a hundred degrees in Atlanta and that it seems that the entire city is cheek to cheek with the subsidized housing.
This is a well told crime drama with a series of interesting characters. I recommend this and the entire series. There is a short story available on the store about Will Trent in the Atlanta airport that would be a good starter if you would like to try out something before you commit to a longer book.

Will Trent and Amanda are from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and what they find about these crimes just tears everyone invoked apart. a great read.

It would have been helpful if there was a listing of which book to read first in the series. I tried to follow the back saying what is next but it is not in succession. So consequently I am all over the place with the characters.

Slaughter's view of the Atlanta scene was fairly accurate. She gives too much emphasis on the economic top grade of Ansley Park ( there are many homes not in the top categories she lists), but she does a good job of capturing the reader about the twists and turns in her plot. She always has Atlanta and Ansley Park in the background, and that makes it especially enjoyable for someone who either grew up in Atlanta or lives here now.

I'm on a binge! I recently discovered Karin Slaughter and am enjoying reading through the whole group. I am buying the ones I can't find in the local library. The characters are engaging and grow with each book.
