Interesting read if you want insight about what happens before, after and during the show. I wasn't a Courtney fan while watching her season, but after reading the book you can see a more full picture of how her portrayal on the show got taken to the extreme.

Refreshing and wide open personal account of Courtney's adventure on the Bachelor. I highly recommend her book to anyone, but especially for those who are Bachelor Franchise Fans!! Well written, Courtney!! Loved it!!

probably a little self serving but does give you a little better idea about what motivated Courtney. Ben probably was a little to full of himself and selfish. Hopefully they will both find their happy-ever-after matches.
and Making it all Work - My Journey to Health :: Turning Heartbreak into Happily Never After - It's Not Okay :: A Mindful Kitchen with More Than 100 Recipes Free of Gluten :: America's Favorite Bachelor on Faith - and Why Nice Guys Finish First :: romance and courage (Classic Historical Fiction) - A haunting story of adventure

Never seen the show, bought it because it was cheap and got decent reviews. If you are into reality TV, or are a fan of the Bachelor show, you will enjoy the book. I am not, so i couldn't help but think this girl is an idiot for thinking she's going to fall in love competing for some schmuck on a show, the guy looked like, acted like, and most likely is, a barely grown man and she (the author and contestant) should have some pride and confidence and find a nice guy and not sleep with him on the first night (for starters).
What else can one say? We are all racing to the bottom and culturally America is becoming a land of garbage - where we once had class and intelligence in our mass media we now have amateur porn, "i want my 15 minutes of fame" and Jerry Springer. God help us all.

After reading the sample of this book, I realized I had to buy it! I am not disappointed! The book is well-written and a lot of insider information about the show and contestants. My husband said why read such a book? I asked him, what's wrong with reading someone's live journey to find love? Courtney Robertson might not find cure for cancer, or create world peace, but her love story with Ben and her other ex-es are a very very good read. She is not ashamed with over sharing, and I commend her for that.
I wish you the best of luck, Courtney!

Funny, eye opening behind the scenes look of the girl we perceived as a villain. It's a great reminder that there are two sides to every story, and while she didn't come across as particularly nice, the truth is, her knight is shining armor was a bit of a scammer too (who cheats on his fiance just months after getting engaged without first hearing her side of the story??). There is lots of juicy gossip too, and stuff we definitely shouldn't have known about (I feel kind of bad for JP Rosenbaum), and well…no one is who they present themselves to be.

Chatty, gossipy, which is the point of the book. Very well written by the ghost writer Deb Baer. She made the drama of Courtney's story flow very well, so I read the whole book and didn't toss it after a few chapters, which is what I expected to do.
If one purpose of the book was to set the record straight on why Courtney isn't a villain but instead is a misunderstood kind-hearted and gracious person, that goal flopped.
But it is clearly a fun read. Nothing taxing on anyone's intellect, but still very fun because of the superb ghost work.

As a fan of the Bachelor, Bachelorette, etc. this of course was highly of interest to me. Courtney tells a great story of her life, the show and her time with Ben. She confirms what I thought about him. Why he was even selected as a Bachelor is beyond me. Certainly not attractive inside or out. A bore.
No matter how much Courtney tries to make you think she is a mean girl she is. She will continually slip in things as if she is giggling that she has done or said that were mean. She often acts child and simpleton like. I will say though my opinion of her improved a bit.

Perfect summer read while I was on vacation. No heavy thinking involved just good old gossip and reality T.V guilty pleasures. It made me want to watch her season on the bachelor since I now know what was going on behind the scenes.

Unlike Courtney, who was a vcomplicated character on the show, her book is written very simplistically. Any 6th grader could read it and fully understand it.
