Freedom is another fun and exciting read in the Dane Maddock series.
If your a fan of the other books in the series, you'll want to read this one.
If you have not read any of the series, this is a good one to start with.
Just the right mix of history, fiction, action and laughs.
It's a great story to start the partnership of the main characters of the Dane Maddock series.
David Wood and Sean Sweeney leave you wanting the next adventure. I can't wait!

The idea behind this story is great. Are there some mistakes? Yes, but I can overlook that. I read for the story, not to see if the grammar is perfect. I enjoyed every minute of this book. It only took me two days to read. I am a sucker for Revolutionary War books (Both fiction and nonfiction) so this was of great interest to me. Please keep the Dane and Bones books coming. They are great stories!

I learnt a bit about the American war of Independence, the history part was interesting for me but otherwise the concept was a bit weak. I do not think I will be reading any of the other books in this series.
A Dane and Bones Origins Story (The Dane And Bones Origins Series Book 6) :: A Novel by Samantha Shannon (2013-08-20) - The Bone Season :: Okay for Now :: Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy :: Bone Dry (The Gina Mazzio Series Book 1)

Another awesome book. This time it introduces Dane & Bones, and they are in Boston this time. I love Boston!!!
The only down side to this book was that it was a little to short. I really would like to have kept reading for awhile longer. Can't wait for the next adventure!

A great origin story that shows how Bones and Maddock went from rivals to best friends.
- Plus you get the thrilling adventure in the bargain.
- And the price is right!

Get it, read it, you'll fall in love with the guys.

All these books are great. If your looking for some light, funny action for a gloomy day you have found it. David Woods novels are must read for me. If your thinking about it give it a try I think you'll like it.

I really enjoyed reading how Dane and Bones got to know each other.
It seems like with this book it kinda all makes sense on how they treat each other and when reading you can tell that they would (in real life) be best buddies.
Great and cool read.

I enjoy reading a detailed piece of historical fiction, something I can sink my teeth into. Sadly, Freedom by David Wood does not fit the bill. At about 35K words, I consider this a novella, not a novel. The editing is not up to par. The action seems contrived and everything happens too fast as if this is a preview to a lengthier novel.

On a positive note, if you are looking for a quick easy read, this book is meant for you. I would consider reading another book in the Dane and Bones series to see if this particular title is the odd man out. The choice of font made the book easy to read. The front cover is eye-catching and the back cover blurb is enticing.
