As always, Ms. Roberts, puts everything into the Eve and Roarke story. How can anyone resist reading them. This one has it all and a very special something extra when it comes to Eve and Roarke's relationship. I actually have to be careful when I start to read these books because I don't stop until the very end. I can't wait until the next one and the next one, I'm never disappointed.

This book, like the others, is amazing. I liked learning just a little bit more about Roarke's past, seeing a vulnerable side of Eve and just the all around suspense building. It took me 2 days to read this. J.D.Robb has done it again!! I absolutely love this book series.

I have gained such a love for Nora Roberts' writing as JD Robb. She is witty, has strong characters, keeps true to her characters, and is always entertaining. I cannot imagine how she writes so many of these!
Betrayal in Death (In Death, Book 12) :: Witness in Death (In Death Series) - Conspiracy in Death :: Mirror, Mirror (In Death) :: Wink Poppy Midnight :: Ceremony in Death (In Death Series) - Immortal in Death

This was a fascinating story, which some parent somewhere may have gone thru or will go thru. Excellent build up of facts and setting of the stage for the finale. Definitely a goose bump, thought provoking story.

This is one of my favorite JD Robb books. Roarke and Eve must face his old flame that wants back in his life. She doesn't know how to deal with this and he doesn't see what Maggie is trying to do. Just like a man, you have to hit him over the head to make him take notice now she is playing with their lives. It is kind of sad to see Eve, who is so strong, struggling with this uncertainty in their marriage. She is also dealing with a child Sociapath and has two murders to solve. A strong book but a great story.

J.D. Robb never fails to disappoint while writing her "In Death" series. This time the victim is the history teacher at an exclusive school (boarding school). With many twists and turns the murderer is sure to surprise you.

have read ever one of this series. Started by accident and had no idea what they were about. It took two of the middle ones to get me started, but then I went to the first and kept going. Of course, being a female, I want a Roarke. And I don't care if he has money. Buy you don't need to know that. I read in a review about the women called "Roarkies" or something like that, so I had to admit I am a card carrying member. JD has one hell of an imagination and a read on what women want.

Innocent in Death - JD Robb and Eve never fails to surprise us. I loved this book!!!!. I always try to guess the ending, however this time I was stumped. Each twist and turn was a pleasant surprise.

I enjoyed this entry in the 'In Death' series. J D Robb manages to make each book different so that you don't feel like you get 'recycled' plots. How long can she keep it up? Don't know, but til then I'll keep reading. Thanks Nora!

"Innocent in death" wasn't one of my favourite books in J. D. Robb's "In death" series, and I strongly regret having bought the hardback edition. Was I too blunt expressing my disappointment? Please bear with me, as I'm not feeling very pleased with my purchase right now...
Truth to be told, I love almost all the books in the "In death" series, and I think that Lt. Eve Dallas is an excellent character, well complemented by her friends and her husband Roarke. What is more, J. D. Robb manages to include interesting whodunits in the plot of her books, making the crimes and their solution a central part of the story.
If that is the case, what didn't work this time? Well, to start with, the solution of the crime and the events that led to it were far from convincing, and I couldn't help but think "that's it'?" at the end of the book. Moreover, the relationship between Eve and Roarke suffered a big blow, thanks to the return of one of his old girlfriends, and his inability to just listen to Eve's worries. Even though Robb shows quite well the way in which her personal troubles make it more difficult for Eve to concentrate on her job, she makes it too easy for Roarke at the end. I wish something happens in the next book that puts him in Eve's position, as he didn't suffer nearly enough in this case. Of course, he didn't really do anything wrong, but he lacked empathy, and we aren't accustomed to that from Roarke.
On the whole, I think that you will be enjoy some parts of this book, but not all of it. From my point of view, "Innocent in death" is worth reading, but you shouldn't buy the hardback edition. That was my mistake...
