Total cliff hanger. Ugh! What is happening! I feel there was just not enough information about the task force and MC , and too much on the death. I was just waiting and waiting for more information, so when they let the secret slip I was ready to get really into this book . And then it ended.

I went into this book skeptical off of others reviews. I was ok but felt short and rushed at times. I wish Lisa could have been more tougher. I felt like she gave into Brian all the time. Sometimes I was like she's gonna do it because she makes a comment but then it's like nope. Lisa is studying to be a lawyer and she lives in New York. She has one more yr to go. Then she gets a phone call to come home to FL something has happened to her brother David. He had joined the military then joined the Police force. He had died tragically will working on a special assignment. Coming home puts her back on the radar with her old friend and her brothers best friend Brian. He's now in the MC that she feels had something to do with her brothers death. I will give this book 1 more shot with the next book.

A story with no conclusion containing caricatures of all the characters supposedly associated with a motorcycle gang. Not a very good sentence, but on a par with the book I've just read. I'm certain it will find a bunch of readers who will lap this up. I won't be hunting down the rest of the series.

I just finished reading Stone Cold by Olivia Rigal and I’m left with a curious feeling. These aren’t pressing I-need-to-know questions sorting through my head. More like, I’m puzzling what is going on together. I see by other reviews people are bashing on Lisa. However, I am not one of those bashers. I get her. I get the losing of a close brother and seeking solace in the arms of someone she has, or at least HAD, a connection with. I know some people would think that’s a slutty move but after feeling the loss of a loved one, sometimes you need that human connection. It’s the same for Brian needing that human touch. So that whole sex after death, nope not a skanky thing for me. What did come out shady for me was Steven and Everest. Really guys! Flirting and trying to score a hook-up during a funeral…bad form.

There a lot more to the story besides the afore mentioned, there’s intrigue along with creepy MC bad guys. For a novella there is quite a bit of backstory into Brian and Lisa’s history that I was able to understand their motivations. While this is a MC story, there weren’t a lot of what I would call MC moments. Let’s not forget, there is sex although if you’re hoping for it to be graphically detailed I hate to disappoint you. So despite this is a short book I feel it well flushed out.

So here is what makes me curious: Why couldn’t Lisa see her brother’s body? There has to be something more than a ick factor that is keeping her from seeing him. I found that frustratingly curious. Yes, with all the other things going on, that is the one thing that is sticking in my mind. Hmmm… I’m already trying to guess where this is going. Why you may ask…because there was a twist at the very end that has me thinking, and guessing where this is all going. I guess the only way to find out is to stick with the series. Patiently waiting for the next book.

I received this book from Badass Marketing for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine.

Be prepared to fall under the spell of this storyline. It begins with Lisa, a law student and waitress, receives bad news that her brother David, has been killed in the line of duty and her mother has been admitted to the hospital. She returns home to find that things have changed considerably. Brian (aka ICE) is heavily involved with the local MC the Iron Tornadoes. He was her high school crush, her first, and her brothers best friend. Brian is no longer the person she once was in love with. Why did he drop out of the police academy, having attended with her brother, right before graduation? Why did he turn to the MC. And to make matters worse, rumors and speculation indicates that the Iron Tornadoes were somehow involved in her brothers death.

Warning, this book does have a cliffhanger ending and has MANY unanswered questions. But the storyline is fast paced and intriguing, and the characters are likable. It did not take me long at all to finish the book I loved it so much. And lucky for me the rest of the series has already been published. So now onto book 2 for me!

After completing , I was not sure what I was going to write in my review.
It took me quite some time to really put my thoughts on paper. When I first read the blurb I thought to myself, this sounds very exciting and as such I could not wait to sink my teeth into this book.

The premise was good, but for some reason I just could not connect with the main characters. The story did not pull me in as I expected it to. I continued reading because there were questions that I needed answers to, but unfortunately it was not to be. Guess I will have to wait for the second book in the series to have these burning questions answered.

Stone Cold tells the story of Lisa, a law student who was forced to forgo her internship due to her having to return home to take care of funeral arrangements for her brother, David, who was killed in the line of duty. She was determined to find out how he died and who was responsible for his death.

In the midst of grieving for her brother, she comes face to face with Brian, her brother’s best friend and her first love. The chemistry between them was quite intense, however Lisa became wary of him when she found out he is a member of the notorious motorcycle gang the Iron Tornadoes,The writer decided to get things more heated by introducing Ernest a police officer who was likewise drawn to Lisa. I can’t wait to see the route this love triangle is going to take.

There is not much I can say without giving away the story so I would recommend that you get yourself a copy. For me this was an ok read, it took me less than two hours to complete, because
1. It was very short
2. I so badly wanted to see the direction the author was taking.

DISCLOSURE: I RECEIVED A COMPLIMENTARY COPY IN EXCHANGE FOR A HONEST REVIEW.

This book, the first in the Iron Tornadoes series, certainly has potential but for me it's fallen a bit short, I'm afraid.

I enjoyed the story but it felt a bit rushed. It's a very quick read but I wasn't able to connect with the characters in the way I usually enjoy doing.

There's so much information but at the same time I found it slightly lacking. I wanted more of the emotional side of things. Brian is certainly intriguing and of course there's Everest too and I'm sure there's more to them but I just couldn't invest in either of them. They have alpha tendencies but neither grabbed my attention enough.

I'm hoping that the next book will delve a little deeper and give more insight into the characters and their background.

Of course this is only my take on the book. Give it a try, you may love it.

Stone Cold is the first book in the Iron Tornadoes MC series. While each book covers a particular character/couple, the main story line runs through each book and so end on a cliffhanger.

I will no re-hash the plot as the synopsis provides a clear outline of the storyline although as Stone Cold is told from Lisa's POV this didn't really feel like an MC read to me.

What I liked about Stone Cold was that it was a quick fast paced read with an interesting story line that was full of intrigue so it kept me interest throughout.

What I would have liked to see was more interaction between Lisa and Brian. I just really struggled to feel any emotional connection between them. I would have also liked Lisa to have a little more sass to her.

All in all I thought this was an ok read.
