Unconscious Hearts (Hearts of Vegas Book 1)

So, so good! I loved the characters, plot and how well it flowed. Their backstories really defined how they reacted and brought forth the strong emotions in ME! The chemistry was off the charts and now I can't help but think of kissing and Thorn if I hear "Babe" again. ;)

This story was everything you come to expect from Harper and more! I love how she gets deep into the back story and build us up to the storm that wages in her characters. Thorn is every bit the alpha male I love from her books and Ari is a strong independent female. Now I have to wait for the next in the series!

What a great book!! Loved getting to know Ari and Thorn. Loved seeing their hearts wake up for each other. Loved the twist at the end as well!! And the bonus chapters were the icing on the cake! Can’t wait to read more of this series!!

Thorn, what can I say about this ultimate alpha that could do him justice? He's my new favorite Harper hero! And Ari, my God people just read this book. You won't be disappointed unless you hate love and great books.

Other then the few challenges I had with the story... insta-love stories rarely work for me... and it found it dragged a little... it was a nice story of two broken hearts that heal each other... well done.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK! Thorn gives Axel a run, that is for sure. The story line is fantastic. I would recommend this book to any and everybody! I will try to patiently wait for the next story in this (what looks to be) another fabulous series, that you will want to re-read again and again.

The first two chapters of this book made me really think it was going to be 5 stars for me. Thorn, a biker, former male stripper, owner of a strip club and a man who has so many women chasing him he never has to worry about getting sex. But he doesn’t let any of those women near his feelings. He’s a biker and uses the term “Babe” regularly. He grew up without love and guards his heart. Ari comes with her own baggage. She’s been abused by her former fiancé and her twin sister. She feels alone except for her BFF, Piper. She’s also the owner of Trend, a high end second hand store that sells very high dollar items. The biggest takeaway for me was the education on evaluating expensive, original handbags for resale. I really wanted to be over the moon with this story. The plot was really unbelievable to me i.e. the villains who were out to get her. I got so confused with the Regret, Angry, Revenge, etc voices. You’ll have to read the book to understand that statement. I really didn’t feel all gushy and gooey with the love between the two main characters. That’s my problem, I just didn’t “feel” it. The book is an ok read but not one I’ll re-read. Over 80% of the the store reviews are 5 stars so I’m the odd man out right now on this book.

There are NO words to describe how amazing this story is. The emotions I felt were overwhelming at times. I laughed, cried and swooned throughout this story. Their pasts are not perfect but their love is. I cannot wait to read Wylder and Piper's story and hopefully others.

I have a serious weakness for dirty talking alpha men in books. Throw in tattoos and a motorcycle and I’m a goner. Thorn had my heart the moment the man opened his mouth. Hot, dangerous, sexy, bossy and unbelievably sweet. Ari was also a great character who I liked very much. I found myself lost in this book anticipating what would happen next.

Both Ari and Thorn had suffered loss in their pasts. Neither of them were looking for a relationship. However the chemistry they felt the first time they met was too strong to ignore. You could feel it as you read the story and watched them fall deeper and deeper. They were perfect for each other. I loved how Thorn knew Ari was worth it and was determined to make her his. I also loved how they never gave up on each other. They just fit. The secondary characters were also great. I can’t wait to read Blind Hearts, Piper and Wilder’s story that’s coming out next.

The bonus after the end was wonderful.

Ok seriously didn't think I could love your characters any more than I already do. So good! Also the devil was not who I thought it was fantastic plot twist! Oh and Thorn needs to be my real life husband!

30% through- The heroine seems to dramatic. I literally laughed. I can not feel a connection with the heroine & hero. They slept together once at this point. No special moments.
Then she runs out after she sleeps with him, answers her phone. This is when it felt like teenage drama. She ignores her sister for seven years. And because she let Thorn in she forgot to check her phone before answering. *Laughing*
I FORGOT! I forgot!----
"But it was my fault," I gasp, my tears falling faster. "I don't deserve to live again." << This part I will skim through, I can not deal with a whiny heroine.

She continues to ignore Thorn,
Thorn goes to her house, and of course....
"You've been crying," he says,

I can not finish this. I hate a weak heroine. Also, I can not connect to the hero and heroine. One time, and (She's Different)
The heroine has some problems with her sister, then add in the chase of heroine thinking she should not live, or be happy. I just can't ... I need more.

The back characters are just as annoying as the main characters. Makes you just want to slap the crap out of all the characters, since ya can't. The next best think is --- hit library, and slam my lap top shut. Exit out and refund. Because it is not worth the $$

Best Harper Sloan book I have read. She really came back into her own with this one. I couldn’t put it down. Her alpha male and her female characters strength in this book blew me away. For sure worth the buy!

This novel is STUNNING!!! This author crafted a story so brilliantly, that I'm having a hard time really putting into words how much I enjoyed it. I absolutely enjoy an Alpha male and Thorn Evans fit the bill perfectly. Bossy, possessive, protective and calls his woman "babe." HECK YES!!! Ari was phenomenal. A little bit broken but on her way to healing with a side of sassiness. They were amazing together. The story was glorious, the dialogue FLAWLESS, and the "happy" times were full of passion and love.
This book is the complete package.
