I have been reading all of the Stone Barrington books by Woods and this was a pleasant surprise! I was disappointed to find that there were no further Kindle books with this particular lawyer featured. Good mystery and characters were well developed.

This is a great story, proving the author Stuart Woods can be. It is so different from the highly successful Stone Barrington Series that I was not sure I would like it ... to my surprise, it was far more than expected, truly a good story.

I like these types of books by Stuart Woods. They always keep my attention. Not like the Barrington series which seem to be "formula" stories. This book has interesting characters and enough plot twists to keep you guessing to the end.

Was not my regular read. Enjoyed the character and the mystery around the Sutherland Lake. Howell's reporters instincts were somewhat believable fora writer. Glad he got his act together by the end. No longer a washed up reporter.

I really enjoyed Mr. Woods writing style and the setting. You never knew what was coming....it was one of those books that I absolutely did not want to put down. There was enough mystery about each character to keep you guessing right up to the end. I will be reading more of his books.

As usual, Stuart Woods tells a good story and lets you know and care about his characters. At first, I thought this was going to be unbelievable, but he scaled back the illusions and let the story be real.

Under the Lake is full of mystery, tension, and even a bit of the paranormal. Never expected to be drawn into this book like I had but it was a page turner. Colorful characters and at times I found myself getting uncomfortable with the story because at one point I had an "OH DANG!" moment. Loved this book and look forward to another Stuart Woods creation.

This book was recommended by a friend who also loves Stuart Wood's books especially Palindrome. I enjoyed this book. Living on a man made lake it made me think about what is underneath. Mystery, love story, the impact of the past on the future.

In an environment that seems all to prevalent (government first, I insist) and the greed that comes with it, this sets up well without talking down to the reader. It has an interesting twist at the end that should have been obvious to me; but I missed it

I happened on this book accidentally and was hooked in the first couple pages. I found I couldn't put it down once I started it. I've recommended it to others who also have Kindles and enjoy this type of thriller. Kudos to Mr. Woods! I will be reading more of his novels.
