You can never go wrong with a Lauren Blakely book. Once I started this book I could not put it down. There was truly a beautiful romantic love story between Ryder and Nicole. Friends to making babies, what could go wrong? or could they possibly find something so right?!

The Knocked Up Plan by Lauren Blakely
5 stars!!!
“Kisses are the sustenance of love. They will feed you.”
Be still my beating heart, Lauren Blakely certainly hit the spot with The Knocked Up Plan. While I have seen this plot done before, the difference with this one was that this was just so much more. From navigating the paths of broken hearts and trust issues, to swoon worthy dates, dialogue that hits all those heart strings and to a hero that will have you worshipping at his feet. I fell in love with these characters just as much as I fell in love with this book. My heart was full to bursting, tearing up from pure emotion as these two characters navigate their way to “I Love You.” Absolutely adored it.
“I like it hard. I like it good. And I like it a lot.” A groan echoes in his throat. I tap-dance my fingers down his chest. “And I think I’m going to find out if you’re as good in bed as I’ve always thought you might be.”
Ryder certainly stole the show in this book, this was a man that loved with his entire being, Mr Romantic, a doctor of love…until his wife ruined it and him in the process. Now bitter, he is adamant that he will never go there again. His heart has a huge wall erected in front of it, an impenetrable fortress. Ryder’s outlook on love is jaded and this reflects in his work, something his boss is not happy about. Ryder is Mr Relationship guy on the radio, but after the demise of his own he has little left to talk about.
“I don’t know how I fit into this scenario. My part is over, like a character in a play who was killed off in the first act. My role in the story of her life has ended…”
Nicole is the sex therapist at the same radio station, she has commitment issues, again jaded on the love front but constantly feels the incessant ticking of her biological clock. Nicole was raised by a single mum, she knows that it is possible and she knows that she has had a great life, so she decides to go it alone. Sperm donor…artificial insemination…or her colleague, her friend…Ryder.
“So, love is a virus?”
“Absolutely. And it seems I’ve got more antibodies to it than I expected,”
This was more than a “contract for sperm” book. Lauren Blakely delivered on so many fronts. Firstly, the dating scene, but insofar as dating is not all about getting laid, but that getting to know you stage and getting to trust you stage. With POV’s from both Ryder and Nicole the reader is treated to a broad spectrum of thoughts and opinions, emotions and feelings as what started out as a business arrangement soon turns into a lot more.
“I’m standing in front of my building, holding my keys with the tadpole charm, wondering what the f*** I’m supposed to do about the whole no expectations part of the arrangement. Right now, I want expectations.”
The emotional connection is what really got to me, these characters wormed their way into my heart and as the reader is treated to their inner most thoughts and feelings before they are shared with each other you will find yourself on the edge of your seat desperately willing them along. To take that chance, make that jump. These two were just so right for each other. The chemistry was palpable, the between the sheets action was not only hot but intense and emotional and that is something that I haven’t felt in quite a while.
“The world fragments around us as we come together. And I know without a shadow of a doubt that I’m in love with the mother of my child. But I know, too, that I haven’t a clue if she wants the same things I do.”
I had pre-ordered this book, as soon as it downloaded I started reading, early morning reading, and before the kids had their breakfast this book was read. I could not put it down, totally engrossed and loved every single bit. While my eyes probably have bags…it was worth it. I have read a few by this author now and it seems I have a lot of catching up to do.

I purchased the full length novel The Knocked Up Plan by Lauren Blakely and this review was given freely.
Coworkers, love skeptics. and ironically radio dating advice hosts, Nicole and Ryder team up to attain Nicole's personal goal of motherhood and to save Ryder's job. Multiple steamy scenes, ping pong, a needy neighbor, and dogs with personality hold you interest while Nicole travels through her pregnancy and Nicole and Ryder fall in love.

After playing the field and getting no where fast. Nicole decides to hang up her hat and get on with her life by having a baby on her own. Now all she needs is a donor. But what she needs and what she gets turn out to be the same thing in the end ! Lots of laughs and swooning. A Must Read!!

Ryder and Nicole's arrangement seemed like the perfect idea until Ryder became the sweetest donor ever, and Nicole changed Ryder's mind about love. Lauren Blakely makes me swoon with her words, like no one else can. I feel like a broken record saying it, but every book is better than the last.

I completely fell in love with Nicole and Ryder. I loved everything about this book. They both needed something from each other. Once the plan was in place they slowly fell in love but both struggled letting it be known to the other how they truly felt. What a great journey.

This is definitely my new favorite Lauren Blakely book! I smiled through most of it, didn't skim or skip any of the sexy times, and never rolled my eyes at corny lines. She really nailed the perfect balance of funny, sweet and sexy. I loved it!

A funny ha ha romantic story. The plot is simple: woman desiring child without marriage; a disillusioned divorced playboy who is delighted to be a donor. Woman declines artificial option preferring to go the full natural route. Pregnancy is achieved and followed by misunderstandings which supply plenty of angst for the pair. The story manages to avoid being a farce but only just. Will read again

Oh Lauren Blakely has done it again. Two hearts who believe in love but have been burned badly. Two sides of the love spectrum. One wanting to give it and one not knowing how.
A plan.
A deal.
Fun.
Fornicating.
Feelings.
Ryder and Nicole were the perfect counter point to each other and seeing them realize it was as comical as it was nail biting. From ideal dates to key chains and columns, The Knocked-Up Plan was sexy and sweet and everything I want in a rom-com.

First book I have read by this author and definitely won't be the last. Loved the characters Nicole and Ryder. Nicole's request for Ryder to knock her up...challenge accepted. Course, why pay money for in vitro when you have a sexy hunk eager to knock you up the old fashion way. What do you have when you have two fun and sexy characters, embarking on a procreation goal? A HEA in the making!

This was a great story, the sex scenes were delicious and I loved the banter between the two! There was just the right amount of drama for me, not enough to make me bawl my eyes out but enough to make me feel for the characters!

Lauren Blakely is one of my favorite authors, and she does not fail in bringing a great story to life that is both entertaining and sexy. Ms. Blakely knows how to hook the reader in the first few pages. I read this book in one day (and did all the other things I had to do, too)!

This was a refreshing change from the military suspense and motorcycle clubs that I've been reading recently. The couple slowly made their way to the happily ever after, love for all and a papaya that's become a mango. If you wonder what that means you're going to have to read the book. This is a good read from a solid author, I liked it a lot

I like this story a lot. The characters are smart and sexy. They have great chemistry and rapport. I mostly liked this book. The only thing I found silly was that the two characters (who are smart) would believe that their arrangement would work without any emotional entanglements. If they were that compartmentalized they wouldn't be likable. They are likable.

If you want an un complicated funny, passionate and sweet novel this is it. They are both strong but caring characters, neither of them had a complicated childhood. I loved their banter, their sexy scenes and finally the way he tended to her. Really enjoyed this book one of Lauren’s best!

I am becoming addicted to Lauren Blakey. She always tells amazingly funny, sweet and steamy story all wrapped in one. Ryder and Nicole are so perfect for each other. I cannot wait to read Flynn's story.
