My Mother's Ring is a spectacularly written, powerfully moving memoir from holocaust survivor Henryk Frankowski. This is definitely a book I'd recommend to anyone- but, as the author says, this book isn't meant to be read all at once. Take your time with it and reflect, and be sure to have those tissues handy.

This is a heartbreaking, yet uplifting story of a boy coming to age in Nazi death camps. His courage and willingness to live one more day, each day, for more than four years tore at my heart, making me both despair and yet rejoice in human tenacity to survive, live and love again! I read it in one day. An excellent story!!
Resistance and Defiance against the Nazi War Machine in World War II :: Life and Death in Hitler's Concentration Camp for Women :: Christopher Columbus and the Afrikan Holocaust - Slavery and the Rise of European Capitalism :: In My Hands: Memories of a Holocaust Rescuer :: Surviving Hitler: A Boy in the Nazi Death Camps

After reading this book, I am eternally grateful for living in the United States of America. Such atrocities that were committed against humanity is unfathomable. How the survivors were able to keep going throughout the grueling regiment the prisoners were subjected to is incomprehensible. Animals don't live in such horrendous conditions as these humans endured. This should be taught in every school to put things in perspective as to how fortunate we are to live in this country. These people committed no crime; they were just living and working and enjoying life with family and friends. How can people treat other people with such cruelty? This book will stay in my mind for a long time. May we never allow this to happen again.

It never ceases to amaze me that Germany, a country filled with intelligent human beings could become part of Hitlers demonic Nazi world. My Mothers Ring will take you on a journey of what a young boy of 17 sustained at the hands of the murdering nazis for five long years. It tells of the love and the strong bond between a mother and her son as her boy fights for every breath of life. This read is well deserving of five stars.

My Mother's Ring is a truly emotional, beautifully written book. I could not put it down! I am usually not one to cry while reading a book, but the writing was so well done, I actually felt I was part of the story. I look forward to reading many more novels by Dana Fitzwater Cornell. A truly talented author.

I’ve read many stories & accounts about the holocaust. My Mother’s Ring gave a deeper perspective to the deep cruelty of the SS and others. Dana Cornell did an excellent job in walking the reader beside her characters. May those who participated in this tragic event burn in hell!

Details that I have never read before from a first hand point of view. Now more than ever I can't understand how a people who endured this inhumanity still treat Palestinians with disdain as fighting continues in Israel

Very moving. It described the Nazi atrocities in more detail than I have read in other books about the holocaust. Although disturbing, it's necessary to make these facts known to all current and future generations. Well written.

The author was so detailed about the events of his life during Nazi Germany in several different concentration camps. Some of it was hard to read, but it certainly makes one truly appreciate their life. I was so moved by his account; even more so than others no
oks on this subject

I highly recommend this book to everyone. It will cause you to evaluate all that you have, and be amazed at the resilience of the human spirit. I cannot imagine having to live through such horrendous conditions.
