The Ex Games

This is a fantastic story. My heart was racing in parts of this book, especially at the end. I will definitely getting the next book to this story. :)

Katie Raymond went to the bar one night with some friends. It was s night to have fun before college classes started. While waiting outside the bar for her friends, a handsome man by the name of Brandon Hastings asked her if she needs help. She says no thank " just waiting for y friends. When talking Katie lies and says she is 22. Sooner or later one lie turned into two and then more. What happens when the truth come s out. U WILL HAVE TO READ TO FIND OUT .

I absolutely loved this story. It was well wrote. I loved both characters. This story had me hooked from the the first page. A MUST READ.

I really enjoyed part one of this Novella. On way to purchasing the second. Not sure how I feel yet about Brandon. Until he found out katies age he was a decent guy. Then the way he dumped her was cruel. 7 years later he acts almost like nothing happened. Throws her a couple digs here and there but not much else. Then they pick up where they left off and she finds out he has a fiancee after they just had sex in womans bathroom. He is a hypocrite.

AMAZING! This story left me wanting more and can't wait for the volume to come out. What a cliffhanger!!!
I'm an avid reader of J.S. Cooper's books and this one didn't disappoint. I haven't read any of Helen Cooper's books but will definitely read them after having read this one. They did an awesome job with this story.
The Ex Games is a 3-part novella that tells the story of Katie and Brandon. On this first volume, we learn how they had met and what happened to their relationship since they are no longer together.
The story begins 7 years after the last time they had seen each other. Katie is an executive manager that learns she has to go to a company-wide orientation because her company was bought by no other than Brandon, Katie's ex. She is hesitant to attend because she fears that once Brandon sees her, he will fire her on the spot.
As the story goes on, Katie starts to recall her relationship with Brandon and the lies she tells him because she was afraid to tell the truth and he dump her. Throughout the course of their relationship, they fall in love with each other and what a sexy and steamy relationship it is! But she was naive to think that once she would tell him the truth, that their love for each other would be strong enough to surpass her lies. She was wrong! Now 7 years later, they cross paths, which make for a cliffhanger that will keep the reader wanting more.

This novella deserves only one star but I was dumb enough to read the entire thing so that's on me. Let me list all the things I hated about this story:
1. Katie is wildly naive. (I'm so tired of this plot ploy, it insults readers' s intelligence.)
2. Brandon is supposed to be this major tycoon of Wall Street. Whatever, he is just as naive and gullible that he can't figure out his girlfriend is a college freshman? Duh!
3. The sex scenes were uninspiring and they felt rushed like they were written by a horny frat dude. Zero foreplay.
4. The breakup scene was the worst. He demands dirty sex outside in public in an alleyway no less to prove her love and stupid naive Katie agrees and she's shocked that he walks away?! Again, duh!

There's nothing worse than a weak and stupid female protagonist and Katie is exactly that. If I was her roommate Meg and she came crying back to our dorm after that horrific breakup scene, I would've said, "I told you so you stupid bitch now quit your blubbering, pull up your big girl panties and get over it! College is the time for exploring and discovery! You've just discovered that you are stupid and a big fat liar so congratulations! Oh, and you suck for ignoring me while you were lying and boinking your really old man so you need to find a new roommate because I'm kicking you to the curb. Bye now!"

I enjoyed it very much... fantasy man all the way... abit mixed feelings about the age differences, but I just change the age difference to 10 year which makes more sense.

Wow, super steamy love story. Brandon and Katie were falling in love but a huge secret dissolves their world. Is he out to punish her for the lies she has told? Need the next two books in the series to find out. He s now her boss and seems determined to make her pay for 7 year old wounds. She was a young girl all those years ago and didn't know how to tell the man she was falling in love with the truth. She knew the truth might end what they had. When he found out that she was barely legal he humiliated her and left. Can't wait for the next 2 books which are scheduled to be on my Kindle in early January.
