With This Collar (Mastered Book 1)

This is a really great story of understanding and trust. I was sad because it ended. There are different kinds of love and this one was truly inspiring. Marcus and Julia were very likeable characters. I will be reading more by this author. Great Story!

not very original as far as these kinda books go. also predictable in some places. the setting of the den was a nice change of pace but that is only in the first few chapters. the alternating veiw points did not bother me and were actually wanted to break of the monotony.

This is super fun, smoking hot enjoyable to read! The overall storyline is great as it will pull you in from the very beginning. I definitely recommend it if you enjoy a good romance with lots of steamy, sexy love scenes!

I have never read anything by this author before and since it was free I thought why not check her out. I gave this a 3 instead of a 4 or 5 because the beginning of the book pissed me off. I know when we read a book we are doing so to relax and escape, but at least make it somewhat believable. Here are my issues.

1. What kind of friendship do you really have if the bride does not let you know you are attending a BDSM collaring ceremony? She never told the female H this is what she and her boyfriend/fiance relationship is like.

2. The male H who is a Dom keeps the female H from causing a scene because she was not expecting what was taking place. Ok, he is a Dom so I understand his attitude. What is unbelievable is that while they were discussing her friend's relationship and how she would not ever let a man control her that within a couple of hours of meeting she goes from disgusted to letting this man who she does not know dominate her. Where is the getting to know each other before something like this takes place. BDSM is very serious. You can't just let anyone dominate you.

I am willing to check out other books by this author.

Sierra Cartwright has written a wonderful book, showing the real side of BDSM. The characters were believable and the story was hot! Loved seeing the conflicts in their heads and the way the past affected their present! Cannot wait to read the next one!

To be honest, I initially bought this because it was cheap and I was in between paydays and looking for something to read. Let's just say immediately bought the second book in the series after finishing this one.

I really enjoyed the play between the two main characters. The inner turmoil that the heroine has about the relationship is so very familiar to any woman who has been in bad relationships before and is skittish when the right one comes along.

It is chock full of BDSM and one could be tempted to go page by page and try it out. Super hot, well written and utterly enjoyable.

I give it my five ice cube review to cool down afterwards!

I mean this story had me quite interested in more than one way. I really enjoyed this. It was knowledgeable as well as intriguing. Most deffinetly sexy and realistic. I can't wait to read more from ms. Cartwright!

With This Collar is the first book in the Mastered Series and I love this book! I don’t know why I didn’t find it sooner. It has been out since 2013. All I know is that I will be reading all the books in this series. I have read other books by this author and know her books are really, really, really good!

Once I started reading With This Collar I couldn’t put it down. I love, love, love it! I have the next book On His Terms already on my Kindle. But, I have obligations to read an ARC and then I will be reading the 2nd book in the Mastered series!

I love the book and love reading Sierra Cartwright's books. I can't wait to dig into On His Terms!

Well, I had to swallow hard during the introductory scene. A wedding with a submissive scene! But when I managed to get over my initial shock I could get along with it in a few days. The story is very erotic and who's in BDSM will like it. I couldn't buy into the story of Marcus, so I took one star off. But I recommend the book.

I enjoyed reading all of the novels in this series. Good that they can be read as stand alone so if you have a favourite you don't have to read them all again. Excellent author, great story writer wanted to keep on reading it's a page turner.

This storyline was not only erotically-charged and intense, it seemed very real and plausible. So sensual and hot!

Loved the characters. For a shorter novel, they were well-enough developed. Quite captivating!

Will read more or Ms Cartwright's work... very soon!

I had read this book sometime ago and had forgotten to do a review. The story was basically BDSM 101. It also was shorter than I like a novel to be. The story was steamy but it wasn't very realistic and could have been written better had it been longer. The author should have taken her time developing a relationship between Marcus and Julia. The fact that Julia had no clue that her "best friend" was into an alternative lifestyle just seemed stupid, and to not be forewarned about the ceremony was a totally rude thing to do to a friend.
Kinky fantasy - HOT, BDSM reality - NOT.

I enjoyed the story however, it was very unbelievable. The female character had no clue about BDSM or that her friend was marrying a Dom until her friends wedding ceremony where the girl meets a Dom. The Dom took the girl, who knew nothing about BDSM, straight into hard play and demanded she except it. From the BDSM books I've read this should of been a red flag, a good Dom would of eased her into the scenes. The story was good but not believable.
