Sally and Roke's adventure was an enjoyable ride of highs and lows, passion and vulnerability, and strong characters and plot line. I enjoyed it and I enjoyed watching them come together, fight the evil shape-shifting villain, discover her roots and who her father is, and their struggle to come to terms that yes their mating might have started out as a spell gone wrong but it ended up being fate gone right. The moments when Sally struggles to trust him and his moments of exacerbation with her stubbornness made for a good book with no dull moments. Styxx makes an appearance which is always enjoyable and Levet plays his typical role which is always funny. Cyn is the next vampire to find his mate so in this one he plays a prominent role throughout. If you like vampires, witches, and the Fae this is a good story. If you have followed the series, this is one of the better ones, it doesn't have the slow parts that several in the series tend to have. If you haven't read the series you can read this one without too much trouble. Styxx and Darcy are the only other couple that have their own book, though Darcy is mentioned but never seen. The book before this one had the big battle with the Dark Lord that introduces us to Sally and Roke, but it has been several years since I read that one and this one recaps enough to keep the reader informed and not lost.

~ 4.5 Hunt the Darkness Stars ~
Hunt the Darkness is book eleven in the Guardians of Eternity series by Alexandra Ivy. If you love supernaturals, then you will love this. We are given a verity of sups from vampires, werewolves, imps, gargoyles, witches, and so much more. It’s also full of action, romance, and plot twists and turns.
We where introduced to Roke and Sally in Darkness Avenged and Oh Boy, I could not wait to get my hands on their novel. Sally is a witch and vampires hate witches. Roke is a clan chief and a very possessive sexy vampire. He gets lead on a dangerous and entertaining chase. Sally and Roke's chemistry is off the charts, they have an emotional journey to go through and also a very unique and unusually mating. I loved that the mating was so different from what we have been seeing in this series. AIvy also included several of our favorite characters from previous novels in this installment including, Levet or fun loving gargoyle.
I loved Hunt the Darkness! I highly recommend this series and book. Each book can be read as a standalone. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next installment in this series.

Powerful demons, sexy vampires, nymphs and Oracles are afoot and want one itsy bitsy witch's powers or her death. She only has one reluctant, pissed off and accidentally mated Vampire to have her back!
Roke is a loner and an anti-social vampire who is the all powerful and trust worthy Clan Leader of Nevada vampires. He also answering the calls of Head Vampire, Styx, when he needs Roke to be the Protector of their people. Roke only reasons for his existing are his clan protection and being a Protector. Roke loves a good fight, his leather jacket and his motorcycle, but he HATES all things magical. That why he is so pissed off when Styx asks him to babysit the sexy, maddening, yummy peach smelling and sexy as HADES moral witch!
Sally Grace is a woman nobody has ever loved or wanted unless they can use her. Her mom conceived her, so her power would live on. Sally's father is no where in the picture and she is taught magic from the cruel and brutal hands of her unloving mom. When she realized Sally is part demon on her 16 birthday, she tries to kill her daughter. Then Sally was used as a conduit for the Dark Lord and after his death, she was locked in Styx's dungeon. She scared, hungry and frustrated, so it's so not her FAULT that her powers go WACKO and magically MATES herself to the dangerous, sexy, yummy looking and pissed off vampire!
Since they are magically mated, she is releases from the dungeon and flees when Roke isn't looking to find her mysterious father, so hopefully he can break the mating spell! Poor Roke is stuck with the troublemaking Gargoyle, Levet, who is a PITA, so he can track and chase down Sally, his mate that he wants to put over his knees and spank. When they do finally find her, Sally is falling apart from hungry and lack of sleep. Their mating bond is getting stronger and they fight the burning passions that are flowing wildly between them. Sally finds a glowing magically box at her old house and in pops a creepy demon who uses his "organ vibrating" power because he wants the box or them death in piles of goo.
They barely get away intact and Sally and Roke begin a hilarious journey with their horniness on steroids! Their quest has a nymph infested vampire club, fey creatures baring gifts, an power hungry female vampire floozy, chained up in bed, lock onto another cage and uncovering an all powerful daddy. Of course, they have all kinds of help from Styx, Levet and an Irish vampire named Cyn. With all these crappy things happening, Roke wants to complete the mating bond and sink his fangs and other parts into Sally. Sally is having a hard time not ripping Roke's clothes off and taking what is rightfully hers. Is their mating ever real or magically? Will Sally love Roke enough to be around vampires 24/7? Can Roke put Sally before his clan and his role as Protector? Can Sally not turn Roke into a toad long enough to have her way with him? Can Roke truly love his mate if she is magically? Will Levet return Roke's $250,000 motorcycle in one piece? When will Sally and Roke be like a pair of Nikes and JUST DO IT?
I have always loved the Guardians of Eternity series by Alexandra Ivy. She has such great, weird, amazing and loveable characters. Sally and Roke could not be more different or as combustible as lighter fluid and a match. The sexual tension was in every chapter and burned through my Kindle on more than one occasion. Sally just wanted to be loved and #1 in anyone's heart. She was beaten, used and brutalized by the ones that should of filled her life with cuddles, hearts and kisses. Roke is a hero who is a born fighter whether it's with his knives, hands or fangs, its all he knows. Weakness is what he fears the most and he believes revealing his heart and soul to Sally will make him weak. Ms. Ivy begins back some the gang from the other books and it just makes the story better. The Guardians of Eternity that Ms. Ivy created is a compelling world that make you go down the rabbit hole and never want to leave. I could not help but grab some snacks, crawl up with my blankie and jump into this Guardians of Eternity cosmos. I give this MISADVENTURE of Ms. Ivy, a score of 5 fingers up and 10 toes.

The Review
Anyone who knows me, knows 3 things…1. I love my family. 2. I love my dogs and 3. I LOVE Alexandra Ivy! So when I had the chance to review her newest book in the Guardians of Eternity Series, I came close to hyperventilating from excitement! For me, Alexandra Ivy sets the bar for the Paranormal Genre. If a book doesn’t measure up or come even remotely close to her level of writing, then you’ll hear about it. She is the Goddess of Paranormal.(Yes I’m totally fan girling here).
That all being said, the bar she sets, also applies to HER and her books. So again, if she doesn’t measure up, you’ll hear about it, ESPECIALLY with the Guardians of Eternity Series. I have fallen in love with the men in her books and what really endears Alexandra Ivy to me, is the fact she lets you see them again and again in each of her books, so you never feel like you lost your lover, even though she’s brought another one to make your heart beat fast and your temperature rise.
Hunt the Darkness did NOT let me down. Just when I think my lover lineup can’t be expanded anymore, she brings me yet another hunk to add to my collection. Roke took a little longer for me to warm up to, he seemed too snooty in the very beginning, but I believe that was intentional, because I was really able to enjoy his humiliation and give a little evil “TEE HEE HEE!” when Sally puts the spell on him that makes him her dutiful love slave! He still comes out as a sexy, stubborn and sensitive Alpha Male that trips my trigger though.
Sally, even though she was the “evil” witch from before, immediately gained my sympathy and compassion. I’m a believer in second chances and I knew she was trying to do the right thing, despite what she did before. I loved that Ivy made a point to mention how Sally had removed the heavy, dark make-up and was going pure and natural. The symbolism wasn’t lost on me. It’s little touches like that, that makes her writing so special.
Levet…oh how I love this little gargoyle. I was so happy to see him again! I find myself constantly wondering how Alexandra Ivy comes up with the hilarious, laugh out loud, banter that goes on between Levet and the Alpha males in this series. And now that Levet has Hero/Savior of the World, status, he gives those Alpha egos a run for their money.
Final Thoughts: Hunt The Darkness is proof, yet again, that Alexandra Ivy hasn’t lost her magical touch. I’m finding many of my other favorite Paranormal authors are slowing down a little bit, but maybe it only seems that way, because Alexandra Ivy keeps setting the bar higher and higher for them AND for herself. Even with her other great series out there, she’s not letting the Eternal Guardians Series slip. In fact she keeps bringing new things into the series to keep it fresh and alive. I’ve been hoping she’d start focusing on the Fey a little more, and she is! Cyn and Fallon’s book should be amazing, just as every other book in this epic series has been!!!

Yet another book about yummy vampires from this talented author. Hunt the Darkness takes the reader back into the world that has captivated so many lovers of paranormal romance. This long running series is back with a bang and shows absolutely no signs whatsoever of running out of steam! The Dark Lord is finally defeated but Sally the witch who was forced to work for him is not out of the woods yet! She tried to cast a spell and it went a teeny bit wrong, well ok it went drastically wrong and now she's left with the powerful vampire Roke as her Mate and boy is he angry ! If she can just find out who her Demon father is then surely he can help her undo the mess she's in. An uneasy truce forms between Sally and Roke as they set out to discover the identity of Sally's father but the Mating bond between them grows stronger with each passing moment and the raw heat between them is combustible . As the couple search for Sally's father they uncover a mysterious box that holds secrets long forgotten but someone else wants it! Sally is in danger and everything that's inside Roke screams out for him to protect his mate and woe betide anyone who gets in his way!
This was a fantastic story. I absolutely loved it and adore the way Sally who let's face it had been working for the bad guys could become such a likeable heroine. She's such a determined and independent woman. She's surrounded by uber alpha males and yet somehow manages to hold her own. Roke, what can I say? He's so used to being self contained and yet here he is practically drooling over the most infuriating female he has ever met! The task of protecting her is nothing compared to the challenge he faces of not giving in to his most predatory instincts. Roke burns for her but Sally is no pushover and she's determined to remove her spell as whilst they are under it neither of them can be sure what they feel is real.
This was an excellent addition to this series but to fully experience the joy of these vampires I'd recommend reading in order starting with When Darkness Comes . These books are an absolute gift to lovers of hot paranormal romance and will leave you breathless. Darkly brooding heroes and snarky heroines constantly ensnare readers attention but there's humour too and one particular gargoyle is an absolute star! Plot driven and fast paced this book was almost impossible to put down and I stayed up until four in the morning to finish it! It's an amazing world Ms Ivy has created with a wide variety of diverse characters and interesting creatures and I heartily recommend these books. Paranormal romance at it's absolute best!

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
It's been a while since I started this series back in 2011. I read the first 6 books in the series voraciously, then, while I was waiting for the 7th book to come out, I was distracted by other series and while I kept buying the new releases, I never did come back to this series. It was only when I saw this book, book # 11 of the series on Netgalley that I thought, well this would be a good time to catch up. I'm very glad I did because the series has only gotten better over time.
I may go back to review the other books, but I have an obligation to review this one so I'm starting here - and it was also my favorite book so far in the series so that helps.
We left the last book after Roke and Sally met and left each other under less than ideal circumstances. Since it's in the synopsis, there are no spoilers here - due to an unusual manifestation of Sally's magic, she forced a compulsion on Roke which triggered his mating bond. Now Roke is bound to her out of duty and obligation, and they both are trying to find a way to break the bond. Roke because she is an infuriating magic-user and he has never trusted magic, and Sally because she is feeling guilty for her out of control magic. Plus - let's be honest here, we can all tell that Sally would rather a man be with her out of love than obligation even though she does find him extremely irresistible.
As Sally and Roke try to track down her father in the hopes that he will be able to fill in the mystery surrounding her unknown background, they are being tracked by someone who wants Sally's growing power for himself. Sally learns that forced or not, Roke is the only one she can depend on.
I really liked the way Sally has completely turned around from the black magic witch she was in the previous book who supported Gaius and the Dark Lord. The author was able to make her almost instantly likable, instead of having her have to battle back from her past transgressions. By showing her POV, the reader can see that Sally is really a troubled person that just needs to finally catch a break for her to turn her life around. Roke was just yummy in his role as her alpha male protector and I really liked the way he kept chasing her down no matter what the circumstance. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to see what happens with Cyn and Fallon next!

I can't get enough of Alexandra Ivy's Guardians of Eternity Series. It's on my Top 10 List of favorite paranormal romances and the series never fails to entertain while also satisfying my need for hot alpha male heroes. Hunt the Darkness's ultra sexy and possessive vampire is Roke. Roke is lead on an entertaining and dangerous chase by his mate, Sally who happens to be witch. This leads to conflict because vampire normally hate witches, but Roke can't deny the mate bond with Sally and their chemistry is off the charts hot. I loved their story! Alexandra Ivy also included a lot of my favorite characters in this installment which included my favorite little gargoyle, Levet. If you're a fan of the series then you're a fan of Levet. He usually steals the scenes and keeps the reader laughing. This series is an exciting and sexy paranormal series filled with vampires, werewolves, imps, gargoyles, witches and more. I highly recommend the entire series, but each book can be read as a standalone. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

I don't know if that's even possible, but every time I read a new installment in Alexandra Ivy's Guardians of Eternity series, I find it more and more captivating. Each new book seems better and better than the previous one and I always wonder what new characters and dangerous plots the author is going to introduce next. And not even once was I disappointed neither by the stories nor by the writing style. By the end of the book I'm left wanting more of this amazing series.
"Hunt the Darkness" picks up right where the last book left off. So, if you haven't read this series yet, I honestly advise you to read the previous books in order to understand the events or the mentioned characters names. Roke, the clan chief of Nevada is magically forced into a mating bond by a spell cast by Sally Grace, a witch that was locked in Styx's dungeons. One of the most powerful witches who has served the Dark Lord and helped the vampires defeat Gaius is an unknown factor, one with whom they don't know how to deal with. So, Roke is called to babysit her. Scared at being kept in the dungeons, Sally tries to enchant Roke long enough to make him to help her escape. Unfortunately, something goes wrong, because her demon magic and the spell ignite the mating bond, leaving them with no choice but to find Sally's demon father, the only one who could break the spell. The problem is she has no idea who he is or what kind of demon he is, but the key of her search is a magical box that seems to be a magnet for demons and fairies.
They start a race against time (when Roke finally manages to catch her) and with the aid of Styx, Viper and Cyn, they have better chances to succeed. Of course, Roke couldn't be the only male in this series who escapes the annoying presence of the mighty Levet, so he too will be stuck with the little pest during his quest. I think this series wouldn't have been the same without Levet's presence with his failure spells or his giddy expressions.
Denying the bond will be a vain attempt for both of them, because even if it is a fake one it seems real to come with all the syndromes of a true bond. They must build their trust in each other as they go, because he hates witches and doesn't trust them and she ...well, she doesn't trust anyone. Roke is a lone wolf (or vampire in this case), in no need of a stubborn mate, much less a witch, but he is also sexy, rough, dominant and very loyal and protective of his clan and... his woman. Even if he accepts that the bond is not real he will do anything to protect his mate. In spite of all the horrible things that happened to her, Sally's spirit is strong, yet her heart is still protective of those weaker and in need of help. She always barges ahead to help and forgets about her safety, but now she has Roke there for that.
She has every reason to be weary of Roke and not trusting him, but sometimes I have the impressions she fights the attraction too much, every time they gain a step in their relationship, something bad happens and she retreats two steps back (not that I blame her, it just makes me frustrated). The good thing is that every kiss and every touch will make her reserves melt away and the bond becomes more real.
When they finally find Sally's father, she is very disappointed in finding the truth about her birth. Not only her mother had her selfish reasons, but it seems her father too. She was only a meaning to helping him evade the prison he was locked in. I really felt for her, all her hopes were shattered, all her dreams about having a loving father. Eventually, her father wasn't so bad, he expressed his desire to know her better and introduce her to her siblings. Of course, he just couldn't do things the easy way; he just had to take her away from Roke with no way for him to find her. Now Roke is desperate to reach her and with Sally's sister and Cyn's help they finally meet. The spell must be broken or they will always wonder if they were fated mates or not.
I really loved this book; the action has kept me awake from the start and took me in a magical world with all kinds of creatures. I can't wait for more of this series. Let's hope the next one it will be about Cyn and Fallon (Sally's sister). It will be very amusing to watch their adventures with a pissed off father on their tail.

What's a sensible vampire with his life all planned out to do when the witch that entrapped him in a mating and he claims he doesn't want, but strangely won't let go runs from him? Why chase after her of course!
The beginnings of Roke and Sally's story were told in the previous book. I think I enjoyed their plot line as much as that of the main couple so I was happily eager to pick this next book up from the Guardians of Eternity series. The danger offered wasn't as intense was it was in previous books, but that didn't take away from my overall enjoyment. The series is best enjoyed when read in order because characters are generally introduced and begin their storyline in the previous stories like these two.
The book opens with Sally on the hunt to find clues from her mother's many hideouts that will lead to the identity and location of the father she has never met. It is all in an effort to break the mating bond she unwittingly forced on Roke a vampire clan chief from Nevada. It is just par for the course with her that she screwed up. Roke declared loudly and often that being mated to a witch was offensive, but when push came to shove, she had to go on the run to get away from him due to the fact that the bond forces him to see the bond as very real. At least most of the time she believes that he is just influenced by the bond, but a part of her wishes that it was real. Her whole life she has had to take care of herself and relying on others has gotten her nothing, but trouble. But with Roke, as provoking as he is, she is flummoxed by conflicting feelings.
Roke has chased down his sassy, determined and danger-prone mate with the help of the annoying gargoyle, Levet, but that was the easy part. The hunt becomes complicated when they come across a mysterious box that radiates magic and has somehow attached itself to Sally. The finding of the box is a catalyst. Now a dangerous demon wants the box and will stop at nothing to get it. Fey appear everywhere they go treating Sally like royalty. And Sally's powers are growing and she can't control them. They are forced to set aside the hunt for her father and figure out the fey box to get rid of the danger tracking them. Meanwhile, they both undergo changes of mind and heart when it comes to their bond. That being said, Sally knows that Roke's clan will never accept a witch for his mate and she will always wonder if he only wants her because the bond forces him too.
I love these 'road trip' adventure style plots where there is a quest to find or discover something. Along the way they have to fend off danger and deal with their attraction. These two got off to a really bad start and both had hang-ups even before the accidental bonding. They get on the last nerve of each other with their strong personalities and their strong need to hold themselves back. There was a part of me that got impatient in the middle with their bickering and hang-ups. I just wanted to lock them in a room and make them hash it out. That being said, I found all these elements entertaining and fun. The appearance of other characters from the series and the intro of more worldbuilding and new characters was just a bonus. I really hope that the next book is about Cyn and Fallon. Their introduction and side story lines look interesting.
All in all, I had a good time with this one and look forward to more from the series. Fans of steamy paranormal romance with strong worldbuilding, characters and plotting should try this series.
My thanks to Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

HUNT THE DARKNESS is the eleventh full length storyline in Alexandra Ivy’s contemporary, adult, romance Guardians of Eternity paranormal series. This is Roke and Sally’s storyline one that started in book ten Darkness Avenged. While being held prisoner in the King of the Vampire’s underground lair hybrid witch Sally will cast an enchantment spell over her less than gracious guard-a vampire named Roke-forcing an accidental mating between two species whose hatred for one another goes back thousands of years-vampires and witches are mortal enemies- and Roke’s clan refuses to accept that their chief is mated to a demon.
The storyline follows Roke and Sally as they endeavor to find a ‘counter’ spell that will render their mating inert. Suspecting that her mother may have hidden the secrets to Sally’s true heritage, Sally takes off for places unknown leaving a desperate vampire struggling with the whereabouts of his reluctant mate. Finding Sally is easy now that their mate bond grows stronger but keeping Sally safe from an unknown enemy is proving to be a little more difficult. Sally hopes to find the father she never knew but someone or something is planning to stop her at all costs.
The relationship between Sally and Roke has been building for two books. Enemies to friends to lovers, Roke was assigned by Styx as Sally’s keeper but the mating bond would prevent him from doing any harm. As the couple travel cross country hoping to find any information that will ‘inactivate’ the accidental mating, Sally will discover that there is more to her DNA than a suspected witch and demon mating-there is much more to Sally than meets the eye. Roke knows in his heart that Sally is his mate but Sally still believes that she has tampered with their mating and Roke may belong to someone else. As Roke struggles to convince Sally she is his mate, Sally continues to search for the spell that will tear them apart.
The secondary characters include a couple of the previous storyline heroes including Styx, Salvatore and a fearless little gargoyle who bring familiarity and humor to a story with the potential for heartbreak and loss. The enemy may not always appear in their true form and oft times they may even be someone close or related by blood.
The majority of the storyline focuses on Sally and Roke’s hunt for Sally’s father and the truth behind a box gifted with magical powers. As the storyline builds so too do Sally’s powers-ones that will reveal themselves in their entirety when her destiny is foretold.
Alexandra Ivy writes another exciting storyline with suspense, mystery, romance and love. As Roke and Sally struggle with their attraction to one another the realization that their mating may not have been a mistake is one that must be pushed out of their minds when a long forgotten enemy reappears at the same time Sally’s future begins to unfold. Choices will be made and passions will be ignited, and in the end, a young witch with unforeseen powers may be the key to uncovering a long forgotten species.

Hunt the Darkness, Alexandra Ivy.
Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
So, this is book eleven in the Guardians series...and as I’d read book one ages ago, and somehow never got to the rest I wondered how I’d get on with it. No problem is the answer :-) Though there are references to other events and people Alexandra makes it easy to keep up, and it seems each book is a complete novel, just how I love it. One day I’ll get to the rest!
For this one though I really enjoyed the story. Its got the right blend of magic and mayhem, sex and sensuality for me. Roke starts off resenting Sally, she's nothing like he'd envisaged for a mate. He wanted sweet and compliant, and she's fiery and outspoken. She'd caught him in her spell accidentally, and as she was trying to escape capture at the time I could understand why she'd tried everything in her resources to get away, especially given the distrust of witches so many vampires have...She needs help from her father though to break the spell, and she doesn't know who he is. Still, though she's got feeling for Roke, her pride and sense of fairness makes her search every avenue for her father. Roke is attracted to her, and sexually they are on fire...he keeps telling himself its just the spell, but as Sally keeps getting into danger, and the journey continues, he learns more about her and her troubled childhood, his feelings are changing and he doesn't want the bond broken. Sally is stubborn though, she has strong feelings for him but thinks – knows really – his clan won't accept her, and continues her search despite the increasing dangers. She is convinced its just the spell making him think he loves her, and that she's not right for him, not clever enouygh, beautiful enough and certainly not compliant enough! Roke can't persuade her to stop the search, so stays with her and they get into more and more dangers, and grow closer and closer. Then she finds him...the father who can break the spell, and what she learns about her birth is heartbreaking...
Its a book full of action, vampires, witches, gargoyles, Fae and other supernaturals...I love this sort of fantasy where there's romance and danger, journeys and endings. Its a fun read, and kept me entertained til the very end.
Stars: Four and a half, I really enjoyed it and maybe if I'd read all the series I’d have gone five. As it was I felt its a little light, and maybe what I missed was that connection of the story that runs through series like these. My fault, not the book.

Hunt the Darkness is the 11th book in the Guardians of Eternity series by Alexandra Ivy. For the best understanding of this book I recommend that the series be read in order. Hunt the Darkness is about Roke, a centuries old vampire clan leader and Sally, a 30 something witch. Sally has accidently forced a mating with Roke through her magic. Roke was furious when this happened but he finds himself drawn and attracted to her. Sally feels the same but is determined to fight the attraction while they search for her father. Sally is part demon, through her father, but she has never known who or what he is. It is their hope that her father will know how to break the false bond.
I liked both Sally and Roke. As the story unfolds some of their individual history is revealed and it helps us understand them better. This is especially important for Sally since she made some questionable choices in her past. It was nice to see her blossom in this novel, as she becomes a character you can admire.
Roke and Sally's story takes us on a journey from one location to the next as they dodge danger, and unexpected attention from the fey. There is action mixed throughout as Roke and Sally find themselves growing closer and closer. Roke is a very protective and gruff hero. He holds back a bit in the beginning but it's not long before he starts to believe what he's feeling is real and not a result of the false bond. Sally is also falling for Roke but she knows that his clan won't accept her as long as the false bond is in place.
Hunt the Darkness was a delightfully entertaining read, filled with action, adventure and romance. I recommend this book and the entire Guardians of Eternity series to fans of paranormal romance.

This book in the Guardians of Eternity series is a thrilling and action packed read that keeps readers on their toes. Sally accidentally mated Roke and now they will be bound for eternity unless Sally breaks the spell… only problem she has no idea how. As they search for the key to unlocking the spell, they mate with a ferocity that leaves them both aching for more and now Sally isn’t sure if her world is more dangerous without Roke – or with him…
This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps the adrenaline pumping with lots of suspense, drama, action and romance. The author describes the events and scenes with well written details which inspire vivid images and invites the reader deeper into the story and the well orchestrated action scenes are believable and exciting. The strong compelling characters are easily understood and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning and refuse to let them go until the end.
There is no dispute that the attraction between Roke and Sally is hot enough set the world on fire and the sex scenes are hot and steamy, but the mating has a few questionable issues. The reader can’t help but get caught up in their story as they race around trying to discover how to end their mating, but do really think the magic got it wrong. Two stubborn oh excuse me Sally is merely determined, have met their perfect match in each other as Roke tries to keep Sally safe and Sally is going to do things her way, especially as her past has shown her that trusting someone is the wrong way to go.
The author once again enthralls the reader with captivating characters, and a fantastic with some surprising twists to keep the readers guessing. I have followed this series from the beginning and I must say that she keeps surprising me in new and interesting ways, new characters and snarky and fun dialogue.

This book just continues the great story that this author has created. I really like the way this book developed and how the characters developed in it. I appreciate the fact that this book had chapter demarcations. Chapter demarcations make it so much easier to see how close you are to the end of a chapter or to find a stopping place when you need to do so. I didn't really like, but could tolerate, the fact that this book's entire text was center aligned. It was annoying at first, but I got used it. I think I couldn't have gotten used to it in a book which had a story I couldn't get into, however. This shouldn't be an actual spoiler, but the one thing I really hate in this series is that the vampires are not able to have children. It would make it so much more satisfying to me if that were different. I won't bore you with a plot summary as I know other reviewers are fond of doing that. I can't wait for the next book, especially because this one ended on a note that makes it a perfect way to lead into the next one. If you liked the previous books in this series, I say you should definitely read this one. Have at it because I don't think you'll be disappointed.

REVIEW:
Another good story from Ms. Ivy. I love Roke. He is all kinds of I am an island to myself. Well except when it comes to the feisty little witch that mated him by accident. When it comes to his temporary mate Roke will do everything in his power to protect her. Even at the cost of his own heart.
Sally is awesome. she is feisty, determined, loyal and wicked powerful. And the absolute perfect mate for Roke if only she could realize that. But after three weeks of running from him Sally has decided (with a little help from Roke) that she will not be continuing on this journey without him.
These two were fun to read about. And the journey that they are on tests them and their mating the whole way through the book. Roke believes it is fate that they are mated. But Sally thinks it is just the spell. Only time will tell which one is right.

Hunt the Darkness is paranormal at its best. Roke gets away with being possessive and obsessive of Sally since he is a vampire. Of course, it takes some time to come to terms to a witch as a soul mate, but that is part of the delightful humor of this story. However, I really like the strong capable female that Sally is. As always, Alexandra Ivy has written a good solid unpredictable story line with interesting, lovable in a scruffy sort of way characters. It was great to see again some of the characters from previous novels in the series, but this is able to stand on its own.
This is a great addition to this series. In this Guardians Series, each of the books have stayed intriguing and interesting.

Roke I love how honest that boy is, "Sally, whether the mating is some demon magic or not, it feels real to me," he rasped. "To have you disappear..." He shuddered, revealing the genuine pain he'd been forced to endure. "Christ." He would do anything for Sally, "I would spend half a million on diamonds if it pleased you," he said, his voice low, rough." He's possessive, "no, I'm damned well not ashamed," he growled. "I'm protecting what's mine." I mean really possessive, "one of those dogs ever lay a hand on you and they're dead," he growled, is hands lifting to run up her bare thighs. "Hell, if any man touches you, they're dead." Nothing comes between mates not even fathers:
"Go away, Sariel," he growled.
There was a gasp of disbelief. "This is my home."
Sally stroked her hands over Roke's chest. "Father, please," she murmured, clearly distracted."
Roke he's not at all bashful in stating his needs, "I need you naked." his co** gave a twitch of approval, trying to bust through the zipper of his jeans." Yeah I love this series and I can't wait for the next book.

This was another exciting addition to the series. As always there was plenty of action and a ton of sexy men running around and the always charming Levet. This book reminded me of the earlier books in this series as we had a chase around the country while trying to find hidden information all the while there's all that delicious sexual tension. Another new race of paranormal was introduced so I'm looking forward to reading more about them. Loved how strong and take charge Roke was at all times and the fact that Sally didn't back down no matter how many times she wanted to. Good story and looking forward to Cyn's book.

I was hooked from the first book in "The Guardians of Eternity" series. Each book details the story of one sexy.,alpha vampire and the introduction of their mate. The stories are detailed and build on the previous books and those characters. Once you read the first book you'll be addicted to this magical world of alpha vampires.,werewolves and all secondary creatures the authors imagination has conjured. Roke and Sally's story like all others in this series will captivate your imagination and the author has set us up so exquisitely for Cyn's book next.

Powerful adventure with threats at every turn for one woman on the run. A man who just won't give up and a character making one person feel unwanted. How do you fight something you have no information on and how do you kill it before it kills you? Needing to find answers to every question big and small yet finding someone who wants to change you for their own purpose. Once she thoughts the fight was over a new one began with a humorous outcome to keep a smile on your face. Great story, highly recommended. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Roke and Sally are very well drawn characters and it was enjoyable reading their story. Styx is my favorite character so I was glad he had a few minutes in the book. I like hearing him talk about Darcy. I would like more of Sal and Viper and their mates as well. I love Levet and how the vampires lift him by his horn when they can't stand it any longer. I like the characters in this world.

Well written good storyline. No major editing issues to make my mind stumble out of the story like a speed bump. This book has a follow-in to Cyn's story next where I hope that Fallon is the major pursuing lover.

Sally was a wonderful heroine. She was strong, independent, and managed to hold her own while being surrounded by a bunch of alpha males. When she was determined, nothing was going to stop her. I thought she was lovely and I really liked her.
Roke was also amazing. He was so sweet, in his own gruff way. He was intensely loyal, whether it was to his tribe or his mate. And, he was definitely not someone to be messed with if you threatened either one. He was great and I totally adored him.
The romance was lovely. Sally and Roke were so great together. With them both being so strong-willed, they definitely met their match in each other. And, the chemistry between them was constantly on high and there was a ton of steaminess with these two. I thought they were a perfect couple.
The plot was fast paced and I was mostly hooked the entire way through. There were a few parts where I was less interested. There were tons of thrills and surprising secrets that kept me on the edge of my seat. I really enjoyed the story and the ending was wonderful.
Hunt the Darkness was a fantastic paranormal romance. I really liked this delightful read. From the thrills, to the romance, to the secrets I never saw coming, this book was lovely. Romance lovers, this is a book you won't want to miss.
