Caveat: As a longtime fan, I recognize I might lack some objectivity in my review. The author's books (including this one) are well edited, PG friendly, and appeal to a wide cross-section of the age spectrum. If you're looking for social, military or hard science fiction, this offering is probably not your cup of tea. If, however, you enjoy a well-paced, action adventure, with a touch of who done it--splashed against a sci-fi backdrop, this book does not disappoint.

No question that Mr. Lowell is quite the story teller. He brings us into another adventure of Natalya and Zoya as they become test pilots for a new type of ship. But there is a great deal of deception and theivery going on that they must unravel. This was another entertaining Lowell tale. It may have been a bet wordy here and there but percentage wise I suspect I skip less within his books than most other authors. Great character building.

I really enjoyed this book/series. I come to realize that any book this Author writes is great. In this book the MC's are task to collect banking data from the space systems buoys. The Directors are trying a new system of doing it, yet someone does not want it to succeed. They must trip the traps to see who, as well as follow the money.

I have enjoyed every one of Nathan Lowell's Solar Clipper novels and the Smuggler's Tales are a great view into Toehold space. The detail of the stations, the characters and their interactions, it's just great old-fashioned SciFi. I hope there will be a new Ishmael Wang novel coming out soon but I can't decide which I hope he's working on more.

Well paced read from start to finish with a great focus on well-developed characters that is the hallmark of Nathan Lowell's writing. Still not sure why he calls this Solar clipper series Smuggler's Tales since the lead isn't really a smuggler and there's little actual smuggling happening. Regardless it's a fun and entertaining read.

Nathan Lowell writes some of the best SF out there, on a par with Sara King and without much other company at this high level. His heroes and heroines are normal people with good hearts who (mostly) are doing the right things for the right reasons. This is high praise in my world, and I hope he keeps it up forever.

I only wish that Nathan Lowell were more prolific in his writing of the Golden Age of the Solar Clipper stories! It is hard to find science fiction that is based on a solid story line and not on military shoot 'um-up action or other violence.

Mr. Lowell's books sometimes seem a bit formulaic however I have read and enjoyed every one. There are clear-cut good guys (& gals ) and bad guys with, usually, justice for all. I can relate to the characters easily and look forward to the next book in each series, if any. The environment he creates is rich in detail.

Another great adventure in the deep dark. Zoya & Natalia are very engaging characters. This installment took just a little bit to get going, but then it was s wild ride. Couldn't put it down, spent a couple of nights reading way past bedtime. On to the next adventure

Nathan is, above all, am excellent story teller. He brings the world alive. Little comments and observations that make everything seem real. He tells small stories about people, with real motivations and lives.

Another great Nathan story. Could not put it down. The only criticism is around the final conflict. It seemed off or maybe rushed. Not a big enough issue to lose a star. Keep up the great writing!

An excellent next chapter in Nat & Zoyas story. Can't wait to see what they do next. I love that it lays out some history of Toe Hold space that will make the Seekers Tales more enjoyable once we get back to them.

Once again, Mr. Lowell has given a science fiction story by putting a different genre in space. This exiting tale is a mystery which hens to follow our space faring duo. The plot is a good who done it, with enough serious engineering to keep things realistic from a science stand point. Had a hard time putting it down to sleep. A very good read.
