For His Eyes Only is the thirteenth (!) book in Lexi Blake’s Masters & Mercenaries series, but don't worry if you have not read the prior twelve books. The emphasis of For His Eyes Onlyis definitely on the romantic suspense, and it is an interesting mystery that isn’t easy to predict or solve. The BSDM is on the lighter spectrum of kinky, and the scenes are tasteful and sensual. I just wish there was less of the dead Other Woman and more of just Nick and Hayley, but Des could not be ignored. If you are looking for a book that gives you two kinds of adventure - action adventure and sexual adventure – and can ignore ghosts, you will enjoy For Your Eyes Only.

Ms Blake brought us back in the Masters and Mercenaries world. In this book, she wrote a second chance romance about the hunky Russian, Nikolai Markovic.
Nick was Des'(SPOILER for those who haven't read book 9 and more, she died) lover and sometimes partner in crime. The thing is. he fell in love with Des' cousin but because of reasons it didn't work out. Now, after Hayley, Des's cousin, got a part of her cousin's estate her house was blown up and she is being hunted by people unknown. The only thing that comes to mind is to run to London, to Nick, and to convince him to help a girl out.
The story starts with a bang, when Hayley gets to the Garden and kind of cons her way in. Nick is ecstatic when he sees her, until he finds out what happened. The thing is, both of them are still hung up on each other, but both of them are kind of hiding it and not recognizing their feelings. I don't understand why this is one of the most used plot device in Romancelandia, it got so old! People I know it's hard, but if you recognize your feelings you're not week or stupid or whatever comes to mind! Being honest about your emotions is the strongest thing in the world, IMHO.
Anyway, Hayley is partially horrified and partially curious and partially jealous when she finds out that Nick is into BDSM and he's living in a club. Unfortunately she has a meltdown where she's being judgy(she's usually not) and he takes her to a hotel. As you can imagine, they're almost assassinated and Hayley sees the error of her way and agrees that living at the Garden is not a bad thing. After they get there, they find out that Ian and Charlotte and Damon and Penny came back from vacation. Reading more about this group was my favorite part of the book, they are hilarious!
All in all stuff blows up, figuratively and literally, they fight and make up multiple times, they jump to conclusions, but Ms Blake writes a lovely happily ever after.

When you are looking for a book that will satisfy your cravings for some kinky loving but want a storyline that will captivate, keep you on the edge of your seat and make you fall right along with the characters, then Lexi Blake is the author for you. For His Eyes Only gives readers a book that will truly suck them in from page 1 to the last fullstop.
I am going to be honest here for a second and admit that I was a bit worried going into this book. This book was the first book in this Masters & Mercenaries series that takes place AFTER the jaw dropping events to the main story ARC that has underpinned books 1 – 12. After such a long standing story ARC I was really wondering where this series would turn to next.
BUT…this is Lexi Blake, one of my absolute go-to authors. So I really should have known that I was safe and this book was a sure thing.
So Nick has been a secondary character in this series for quite a number of books now. Always the brooding, brisk Russian with a history of loss. He is the epitome of damaged goods. But this does not deter from the alphaness of him. I am a sucker for a man that has many broken pieces finding peace in true love. His protective instinct was delightful and I truly enjoyed his vulnerable side when all the chips were laid down about his past.
And man was he one sexy, dominant lover. When the Dom in Nick came out to play, I was mesmerised. His control, his tenderness, his understanding of what his partner needed was exactly the type of dominant that readers of this genre crave. And his dirty whispers and sweet nothings really put the icing on the cake. But don’t get me wrong – this man was pure alphahole at times.
Hayley was a mixed bag for me, at the beginning I really didn’t like her at all and wondered how I was going to handle her for the rest of the book. But without a doubt, she had the sass that Ms. Blake is so great at with her heroines. But the way in which she grew throughout the book and accepted that different is not wrong and might actually be freeing and allow her to find her true self, turned my opinion of her on it’s head.
This wouldn’t be an M&M book if there was no kink. The mixture of action and BDSM is the whole premise of this series. Compared to other books in this series, I am going with this book being on the lighter side of kinky play. There is no high impact play, but it did nothing to detract from the sexiness, chemistry and HOT play between these two. The sex was scorching and if you blush easily, best read in private!
This book was action packed. And while I can typically anticipate where a book is going, this one had me trying to solve the mystery right until the moment all was revealed. Well played Ms. Blake, I truly was kept on edge while this story played out. I loved the grittiness, but not over the top, of the violence in this book. It always compliments the story and brings excitement about the lives of these spies.
The only reason that this book is not my typical 5 star read from Ms Blake is that I felt like Des got in the way of the love story sometimes. Don’t get me wrong, we really needed a lot of the background of her to fully understand the complexity of the relationships, actions, love and its impact on those around her – but sometimes I just felt the story had Nick too hung up on her and their love to make the connection as solid from the beginning as I have grown to love about Ms. Blake’s unapologetic alphas.
Before I go, I really need to interject here and say how much I love Big Tag! That sarcastic arse of a man has owned me from the beginning of this series and every time Lexi brings him to life in one of her books, his character injects so much into the story that it would feel bare without his presence. And of course, Charlotte is as kick arse as ever too.
Jumping into this book is like getting together with long time friends. It is the kind of experience where you know you are going to have a great time because you have been through so much together but never get bored of their company. So even though this is book 14 in this series, there is always something new going on, new people to discover, twists that you plain didn’t see coming and the comfort of knowing that it will be enjoyable. I always recommend Lexi Blake as a must read when you want high octane suspense with a liberal dose of BDSM. This book is really the best of both worlds as a reader. #RedhotRecommended.

For His Eyes Only is the thirteenth (!) book in Lexi Blake’s Masters & Mercenaries series, but don't worry if you have not read the prior twelve books. They are all stand-alone reads, but series devotees will love revisiting their favorite characters when they make appearances in For His Eyes Only. The series blends romantic suspense with a BSDM storyline, and it is an interesting combination. You get two books in one, but the two themes do not always mesh seamlessly. Sometimes it feels like the mystery plot is placed on pause for a BSDM sex scene – sort of like a commercial. It might not always seem like the smoothest transition, but it is also nice to get a break from the bad guys and the who-done-it for a hot love scene.
Lexi Blake’s Masters and Mercenaries series showcases dominate heroes who demand control in all facets of their lives; these men are driven alphas whose intelligence, strength, and appeal allow them to get things done in their professional lives, protecting those who need their help and threatening those who seek to harm innocents and destroy their lives. Blake’s Masters play just as much and as hard as they work and their BDSM lifestyles give them a safe and controlled environment to bring their submissives to their knees, in both pleasing and disciplinary ways.
5 years after Nikolai Markovic and Hayley Dalton spent a passionate night together, only for Nick to leave Hayley due to his need for vengeance and his obsession with her cousin, Des, Hayley’s life or death situation finds them back in each other’s lives, forcing them to face their past as well as the pain and anger that still surrounds their sorted history and while Nick vows to only be her bodyguard due to his toxic life, even if he feels he doesn't deserve anyone as pure and as good as Hayley, the light she brings to Nick's life might be worth fighting his conscience and his cowardly backbone when it comes to love and commitment.
Hayley is no longer the angelic innocent she was 5 years ago, and because of the way things occurred between her and Nick as well as her cousin's secret life and manipulative demeanor, her feelings for Nick and Des leave her feeling inadequate and jealous and even when Nick decides to introduce her to the BDSM lifestyle, he still keeps her at arms length, which makes Hayley feel like she will never be enough for him and never get out of the shadow of her cousin.
The world that Lexi Blake creates in her Master and Mercenaries series is full of intrigue, suspense, steam, and drama. The Taggart-McKay and Knight connection as well as the way their employees become part of their family shows the trust and care they have for one another. It's made clear that Des led a lifestyle that no one truly knew about and that's why she never fully committed to Nick nor did she want to, which perplexes me quite a bit as to why he stayed with her for all those years, knowing she would never fully be his.
I enjoyed the storyline in For His Eyes Only and the interactions between all those involved in Hayley's case as well as the sleuthing that went into finding a connection with those who were after Hayley, what they wanted and how Des fit into the picture. I will admit that the story felt a bit too long; there were parts that could have moved forward quicker and the ghost of Des as well as her secrets seemed to distract a bit from what was building between Nick and Hayley. I know that she is the biggest issue between them but it was clear that she was no good for either Nick or Hayley, so why they held on to her for all this years was difficult for me to understand.
Despite some slow parts and a few frustrations with Des’ role in the story, Nick and Hayley’s story was an intriguing read and Lexi Blake continues to build her world of Masters and Mercenaries in a way that keeps her readers entertained as well as second guessing everyone’s motives that are involved in the case and the hero and heroines’ lives.

Another erotic and exciting romance in the Masters and Mercenaries series. Lexi Blake infuses the high tension with humor in the London Gardens headquarters of McKay, Taggert, and Knight. The extended visit of Ian "Big Taggart", is wife, and kids with their blood-thirsty ways make for fun times. The Hero, of "For His Eyes Only", Nickolai, has a lot of baggage with feelings of unworthiness, inadequacy, and guilt. In his homeland of Russian Nick's known as "The Butcher" a moniker he earned honestly. His one true love is an innocent professor of history in Seattle. Hayley has compared every man to Nick since he left her, five years ago. Nick chose her older cousin, Desiree, her wild ways, and vengeance over Hayley's pure love and peace. He too never forgot her. But with the life he's led, since their parting, he knows they could never have a happy ending.
"For His Eyes Only" has a quick pace, Action, a Second Chance at Love, and lots of Erotic BDSM goodness. The McKay, Taggert, and Knight family's London branch is in full swing in The Garden. Lexi Blake has sprinkled the groundwork for the next installment of the Masters and Mercenaries series throughout the novel. The characters are strong with many insecurities and vulnerabilities to overcome. Hayley's always felt she wasn't good enough to be fully loved, always being passed back and forth between her parents. She also felt overshadowed by her larger-than-life her older cousin, Des, who she idolized but could never compete with. Nick loved Des, but she always held him at arms length leaving their relationship "open". He was also tormented by acts he committed that made him feel tarnished and unworthy of love and happiness. Add in Lexi Blake's witty dialog and colorful characters and … Bliss.
"For His Eyes Only" is spicy hot and a sweet and bittersweet second chance romance. The BDSM section is hot, Hot, HOT as expected from Lexi Blake. Every Masters and Mercenaries book is definitely a no-brainer One-Click. The characters are quick witted, with easy and playful banter and delightful macabre senses of humor. All of the characters are different, charming, and multifaceted adding so much to this intriguing and deliciously fast paced story. Ian and Charlotte Taggert are always a good time to have around. This Romantic Thriller will keep you on your toes!

Lexi Blake is one of my favourite authors. She writes book that always turn into gold. He Masters and Mercenaries is by far my favourite series from her because she brings in so much suspense and sensuality in them that live you breathless. Her books always have that edge that makes me want to sink into its pages and live in them. When Lexi Blake releases a new book in the Masters and Mercenaries series, I am always overcome with joy and excitement. For His Eyes Only is a book filled with suspense and drama that makes definitely soaks you in from the first page to the last page. It is a superb.
For His Eyes Only is the 13th book in the Masters and Mercenaries series that follows Nick, a Russian operative for the British offices of MacKay-Taggart who is still grieving over the loss of Des. His former love flame Hayley appears asking for his help. But Nick starts having feelings for Hayley. This book messed with my emotions. It was a suspense book filled with so much action and angst. I loved it so much so much that I felt my heart rushing. It was a soul crunching, panty melting and titillating book with a sexy and culpable finish that set me on fire. My mind was so derailed that only I can think was this book. It played with my whole being and I wanted to enjoy being played. For His Eyes Only was a story about love and second chances. It told about letting someone in even though how painful it may be, that person can end that pain and you can be finally be happy. It was also about forgiveness. The story definitely touched me and moved me to the core.
However there was a reason why gave it four stars. I felt the story needed more on BDSM scenes. I felt like Lexi Blake concentrated more on the suspense instead of the hot BDSM scenes that this series is know for. I kinda of lost that in the book. I needed more passion and I felt lacked delivering the passion and that freedom and inhibitions of it.
Nick and Hayley had beautiful chemistry that needed to be explored more. Their relationship was a bit rushed. Hayley was such a sweet and naive woman but I loved her strength. I love when a woman discovers her sexuality and this made her develop her confidence which was sexy as hell. She was sometimes stubborn but I loved that she could stand her ground. Nick was a big and strong man with a protective edge. However he let Des obscure his relationship with Hayley. Move on, dude. Des was dead a long time ago. It was messing him up. I also find that he was too much in his feelings. He needed to man up. Sometimes I wanted to smack him because he was being an a** to Hayley.
For His Eyes Only was an enjoyable read and I simply adored. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. I definitely want a book on Ezra Fain. Read this book to find out who he is.

We head back to London, England at McKay-Taggart and Knight, for Nick and Hayley’s happily ever after. I was so ecstatic to travel back to the Masters and Mercenaries world that Lexi Blake has so cleverly created. This world, right here, is and always will be my happy place. I can always count on Ms. Blake to bring the action, passion, and suspense to her romances. In FOR HIS EYES ONLY, there is page after page of delicious kink and beautiful passion. Ms. Blake makes it SO EASY to fall in love with her characters. This is a story of second chances and of a passion that just won’t quit. Mix in a little suspense and a little mob action, and we got ourselves another WINNER from the ever-so-talented Lexi Blake.
“I was a different man back then. I was capable of tenderness. I don’t think I am today. I would be rough and I would take my pleasure from you.”
Five years have gone by, but the love and devotion never died. Hayley Dalton needs help, and the only one she can trust is the man who left her after one night of beautiful passion. When Hayley Dalton steps into his office, all of the love, pain, and heartache return full-force. With vengeance no longer a factor in his life, is he ready for the possibility of Hayley and him? Can he finally find peace in a life with her? When he discovers that she is in grave danger, all thoughts of a happily ever after get replaced with an unyielding urge to protect her at all costs. Nothing dark will touch Hayley on his watch. But the passion is still there, and the urge to connect with her on every single level is not going away. He will show Hayley how to surrender, and maybe then, will he find the control within himself to be at peace for good.
“What you might call love, I call passion. It’s hot and it rages and it doesn’t fill a man. This…what we have right here and right now…this fills me. This completes me in a way I’ve never been complete before. Throw out your notions of wild passion. Give me peace, Hayley. Give me joy.”
I absolutely LOVED the brooding Nick Markovic. The HOT possessive Russian with a dirty and commanding mouth just did it for me on every single level! And when he finds peace with his dushka, it’s just a beautiful thing to read over and over again.
“I was born to love you, Hayley.”
Lexi Blake has done it again! She made me fall HARD for this couple! If you are looking for a big dose of SWOON in your BDSM romance, look no further, FOR HIS EYES ONLY needs to be your next read! Alpha men, hilarious banter, sensual and mouth-watering love scenes, and suspense at every turn of the page, what more could you ask for in a Lexi Blake romance?

For His Eyes Only
Kindle Loc. 1257 of 6250
Lexi Blake’s latest release in her Masters and Mercenaries Series, For His Eyes Only is hands-down my favorite book in this fabulous series. And here’s why:
For His Eyes Only is the story of Nikolai Markovic and Hayley Dalton. But it’s just not a romantic coming together of two people destined for one another — it’s a tale of intrigue and betrayal, of suspense and manipulation, of sex and love — all set within Blake’s splendid McKay-Taggart universe.
Nick is in a bad way — his sister, Katja, was brutally murdered, and his partner, fellow operative and sometime lover, Desiree, has also been killed. Now based in London working for the McKay-Taggart and Knight Security Service, Nick has just about lost his humanity. He hangs on to it by a thread — the thread of a memory of a few hours spent with Desiree’s cousin, Hayley Dalton. It’s been five years since the night he took Hayley’s virginity, and five years since Desiree intervened and convinced Nick that he and Hayley were of different worlds.
Hayley never got over Nick, either. After Desiree’s death, it is Hayley who receives her cousin’s possessions. When her home is mysteriously blown up, Hayley goes on the run, leaving the States, headed for the one person she knows who will protect her — Nick.
Once in London and safely ensconced in The Garden, Hayley is now under the protection of Nick, and Nick is never letting his dushka go. What follows is a heart-stopping race to find the people who want Hayley, dead or alive, and the motivation behind it. I do not exaggerate when I say that moments of this story felt as if they had been written by John le Carré. The weaving of this plot is nothing short of consummate story telling.
An absolutely gripping tale, rife with intrigue, perfumed with romance and urgent sex, For His Eyes Only receives my highest recommendation.

Title: For His Eyes Only
Author: Lexi Blake
5 amazing stars
The Master's and Mercenaries series is one that had me hooked since i read the first one almost a year ago and For His Eyes Only was nothing less than an edge of your seat kind of read that made me sad to see the last page arrive on my kindle. The story about Nick and Hayley felt like one that has been long in the making, especially following the death of Hayley's cousin Des, the woman Nick had been with until three years ago. Their time together is fraught with question when Hayley shows up at Nick's doorstep asking for help...
4.5 sexy dreams
It was a sad story, at least the aspects that surrounded Des and the grieving loved ones that she left behind... but there was a lot of good aspects such as Hayley and Nick finally getting their chance after being separated for so many years. Now, i won't say i was insanely pleased to find out that Nick had thought Hayley not enough for him (too young, too immature, etc.), yet the fact that he did try to make it out to her did have me warming up to him faster than i had expected. i enjoyed meeting new characters from the McKay-Taggart and Knight group, even some that i had met in previous novels, and i can only hope that those new characters get their own books. As suspenseful as this novel was, i had hoped that some of the elements i had fallen in love with the earlier books in the series, would have been present (they just weren't as pronounced as they once were). Needless to say that i still loved this book and can't wait to read more from Lexi Blake because each new book is one more adventure that she makes me feel part of alongside her characters.

Take an emotional roller coaster, stir in some hot sex, including some BDSM elements, add some laugh out humor, shake with some international intrigue, complex characters, and set it all on a base of love and friendship and you have a frothy cocktail of a book. That's the basis of For His Eyes Only, Lexi Blake's latest addition to the Masters and Mercenaries series.
The book is about Nickolai, the Russian operative who helped the McKay Taggart team recover Theo and lost his lover, Desiree in the process. Nicky had loved Desi, but he also knew that she wasn't his only love-his heart also belonged to her cousin Haley. After leaving Haley to go after the men who had killed his sister, he had put her firmly in his past-until Haley turned up on his doorstep, saying someone was trying to kill her.
Finding out who was after her, introducing her to BDSM and trying to keep his distance from her because he wasn't good enough for her makes for a rousing story.
The most interesting person in this story can't speak for herself; Desi loved both Nicky and Haley but couldn't pin herself down to one person. She was an adrenaline junky who kept Nicky as her pet, but eventually sent him back to Haley. My only problem with the story was Haley-why would she go back to the man who took her virginity then ran off to be with her cousin. She had feelings for Nick, but after the way he treated her, the way she just moved back with him was a bit problematic.
Still, this was a feel good book and kept the reader turning the pages. Nicky was yummy, although I wanted to hit him at times. As always, Ian Taggart made me laugh-and adore him even more.
A delightful, five star read.

For His Eyes Only is the thirteenth title in the Masters & Mercenaries series, and it's the first book in the series that I have read. I love a romantic suspense and this tale had copious amounts of intrigue, suspense, danger, and heat filled romance, that drew me into the story line. The twist and turns, lies and secrets that are revealed captured my attention and I was determined to discover the master plot.
Nick is a moody, brooding Russian bad-ass. I enjoyed his dirty mouth and sexy Dom persona, but felt his character was a bit all over the place, and flipped and flopped a bit between being a martyr and being this strong, feared alpha assassin.
Hayley is naive and sweet and drawn into a situation that she is not prepared for. I really enjoyed watching her character grow and gain confidence as they explore the BDSM lifestyle.
The chemistry between this pair is intense, and the banter is fun and engaging. I loved the camaraderie of the McKay-Taggart group and the banter between the characters in and out of their sub/dom personas.
This is a very long read and considering the length of the book I found the realtionship between the hero and heroine to be a bit rushed and lacked depth. For someone who is dead Des, was mentioned a lot!!
I found this book enjoyable and look forward to reading the next title in the series, and hope in the future to see Ezra Fain have his own story told.

I never get enough of a dangerous sexy Dom and Nicky was extremely sexy!
Love is never easy, but a lost love is the worst. Always thinking of what could have been and living in the now. Finding the life you wanted is never in sight. Just what could have been.
Hayley's life began and ended in one night. The most beautiful night of her life, until Nicky destroyed her when he walked away from her, Des. Her cousin.
Nick walked away from his happily ever after the same night he found it. The night would forever be in his memories, as both happy and haunted. He walked away leaving Hayley behind, believing it was for Des.
Five years later, Hayley finds she is in danger. When she received items from Des after her death through her will. That's when the danger began and the letter Des had written to her, told her to go to Nicky.
When Hayley shows up in London, Nicky knows this has something to do with Des.
Knowing the danger is real, the security firm he works for, takes Hayley on as a client, with Nick being her bodyguard.
With the danger increasing and the past standing in their way, the road these two travel is a painful one.
Nick must decide if he is going to be a martyr or the man Hayley deserves.
Hayley finds her inner strength and takes matters into her own hands once Nick makes his decision clear.
Love the past intertwining with the present. The feelings of obligation and debt has these characters leaning on each other and finding a way to happiness.

Oh my! I love the Masters and Mercenaries series and so happy to be able to read Nick and Hayley’’s story. The darkness that Nick holds gets a little bit painful. I am pretty sure I was hurting through some of the scenes in the book almost as much as the characters. We all know Des, Hayley’s cousin, was a bit twisted in her own way. I feel that she thought she was just trying to protect Hayley when she had Nick stay away from her. But oh how things change when the years pass by. When Hayley is suddenly back on Nick’s life, it seems Nick’s world tilts a little.
Nick is trying to fight what he feels. As I always said time after time, the heart wants what it wants. Even if we feel unworthy of it, love can pick you a soulmate. One thing I love about following a book series, you get to revisit some characters you have read about. It is like visiting with family that you have not seen in a long time. So I was ecstatic to see some of my favorite guys make their appearance. Nick struggles so much with Hayley close by. Des was not a favorite of mine, but I love Hayley. Oh the things Nick says and does has my heart swooning. There is a lot of yummy sexy time, but there is a lot of regret and heartache too. I was all over the place.
Being a Lexi Blake fan, I am so happy that as these series go on and they do not get boring or old. You get something new and exciting each and every time! This is a must read and I was so happy to get my hands on this book and get lost in book world! I truly love Lexi’s book.

For His Eyes Only is the thirteenth book in the Masters and Mercenaries series and the first book that I have read from author Lexi Blake. I had difficulty following some parts of the story line, as they were aspects from earlier books. I usually do not mind if they are minor parts in the story, but I was constantly wondering what characters were talking about or who certain characters were. I know that if I read the earlier books first, I would not have had this issue. Therefore, I recommend you reading the other books in the series first before this one!
For His Eyes Only is Nick and Hayley’s story and set in London, England at the McKay-Taggart and Knight office. Desiree, Hayley’s cousin, was one of Nick’s co-workers and they had a very complicated and often confusing relationship before she was killed. Nick met Hayley while visiting Des’s family many years ago. He enjoyed Hayley’s company and they became friends and later fell in love. Nick’s desire for vengeance, for his sister’s death, kept him from declaring his love for Hayley and he walked away after their first night together. Several years later, Haley finds herself in trouble and she can only think of one person to help her… Nick.
Does she have the courage to see him and could she ever forgive him for leaving her?

For His Eyes Only
By: Lexi Blake
5 Star Review by Kristie K
Lexi Blake delivers another heart-pounding, sensual thrill-ride with the men and women of McKay-Taggart and Knight…
I love Lexi Blake. She is my kindred spirit, my soul sister, my eidolon. No matter where she takes me, or how far we go, it is always one hell of a ride. No exception to the rule, For His Eyes Only lives up to every expectation I have from Ms. Blake, and exceeds some as well. A complicated and intense plot, with switchbacks, twists, and turns at every corner, Ms. Blake never misses a beat. Plot holes are non-existent, and with the extensive number of books preceding this in the series, that is REALLY saying something. As always, her characters are seamless and perfectly developed, with their only flaws being those they are intended to have. I fell hopelessly in love with both Hayley and Nick, and rekindled the love affair I already had with the other members of the McKay-Taggert and Knight team. From the cover, to the blurb, to the characters, to the storyline, to the plot and everything in between, this book is superb. It kept me on the edge of my seat, squirming with both suspense and desire, throughout its entirety. As an absolute addict, I assure you I will be stalking Ms. Blake at every turn to get my hands on her next release.

So this is the most recent in this amazing series.
Nick is someone that I have been waiting to see what his story was and get to know him better. There has been so little given in his story in the previous stories. He has had anything but a good life and sadly gave up the one person that he truly wanted. The question becomes, if he is ever a given another chance, would he be willing to explain his story and take the chance all over again?? Will Nick ever stop letting his haunted past influence everything that he does? Will Nick ever admit that he needs to lean on others at times?
Hayley seems like she has had a wonderful life, however, things aren't always what they appear. The question becomes will she ever be able to truly open herself to others and be honest about her feelings and needs?? When her life starts to go horribly wrong, will she be able to admit that she needs the one person that she has been avoiding? Will Hayley be able to open herself up and admit her feelings? Will she be able to get the one she needs to be honest with her and support her?
These two are explosive together, and yet at the exact same time are pushing each others buttons and causing so much pain and heartbreak. Will they ever be able to be honest and open with each other? Will they be able to put together the pieces of their pasts and figure out what is really going on and why she is being hunted??

Who are Nicolai, Desiree, and Hayley? How do they know one another? After Desiree dies, Hayley ends up with a box of things from one of her apartments around the globe. What happens after that? Where does Hayley run to and why? Who helps her and what happens to that person? When Nicolai is walking Hayley to a hotel, what happens to the two of them? When Hayley is taken back to the offices where Nicolai works, who is there, what happens and how do we find out more about Desiree? The more I read of the book, the more interesting I find Hayley to be to me. I can relate to some of her thoughts and feelings about life. What is going on? Who is after Hayley, why? What does she learn at Nicolai's hands? What does she learn about herself being at The Garden with his co-workers and him? Who is Ezra Fain? What does he have to do with all this? What happened to Hayley's father? You're going to have to read this book to find out answers to these questions and more. This book was full of erotic sex scenes, mystery, murder, intrigue, and more. Enjoy it! I did! Now I need to get my hands on more of this series of books. This was book 13 in the series!

For this edition we are back with the London wing of the McKay-Taggart team with the story of Russian operative turned agent Nick and the one that he let walk away, Hayley. While Nick has been beating himself up over the death of Desiree, Hayley has been living her life quietly. That is until she becomes the content of Desiree's apartment hits her doorstep and she ends up in desperate need of Nick's protection and help.
Lexi Blake has added another fun and thrilling novel to the Masters and Mercenaries series. You get all of the suspense, action and heat that you've come to expect from her books. Hayley and Nick have what should be an easy relationship as they both are attracted and love each other but the ghosts of their pasts just don't want their path to be easy. There is plenty of spy and bad guy shenanigans as well as some seriously sexy scenes to keep you turning the pages
There are great cameos by Damon and Penny, Ian and Charlotte and we also get a bit of peek at the "lost boys" especially Owen and the simmering relationship between Brody and Stephanie. Definitely a "not to be missed" for a M & M fan.

For His Eyes Only is the thirteenth installment of the Master and Mercenaries series by Lexi Blake.
I am a huge fan of Lexi Blake’s work ever since a friend of mine recommend me the series. I don’t know how she does it because every book has been amazing! Now, with this being the thirteen story in the series I was a bit worried that I wouldn’t like it, but thankfully that wasn’t the case because I devoured Nick and Hayley’s story like my next breath depended on it.
It is phenomenal. In addition I loved that we got to see previous characters and their love one’s as we get further into the series. I can hardly wait to see what else Lexi Blake has in store for us!
I highly recommend this series because it isn’t just about BDSM, but about communication, alphas, love and so much more. You don’t have to read the series in order, but I highly suggest you do because it’ll give you more of a background and you won’t feel like there’s a bit time leap.

A stunning, sexy, all hotness and delicious alphaness in one dynamic romance that left me weak in the knees! OMG For His Eyes Only was AWE-MAZING! Nick and Hayley is easily one of my favorite couple in Miss Blake's Masters & Mercenaries series. The chemistry wasn't just OFF THE CHARTS STEAMY, but the way the tension just got tighter and hotter with each moment, both good and dangerous, that passed, had me so far on the edge, I am surprised I didn't fall off.
Lexi Blake KNOWS her stuff! For His Eyes Only is a thrilling, tingling romance that sizzles in the BEST way, yet is sure to leave your throat tight and your emotions high while your heart gallops at a fast pace within your chest with all the dangerous twists and turns. This book had my heart running wild, long after I finished it. I loved the way this book was written and the way these characters took my heart from the very start.
For His Eyes Only gets a DELICIOUSLY SEXY FIVE SHOOTING STARS! It is HIGH on action and HIGH on wicked HOT HOT sex!

To quote the lyrics from the Spy Who Loved Me.....Nobody does it better than Lexi Blake!! For His Eyes Only is beyond fabulous!! Nick and Hayley's story is a study of two people who have lost all the loved ones in their lives, mistplaced trust, missed opportunities and lost love. Now they are once again thrown together in a dangerous situation that requires them to completely trust one another. The whole world seems to want to take Hayley from Nick for unknown reasons. It's up to the McKay-Taggart team to unravel the mystery. Nick is determined to keep her safe even if if mean walking away. The mission is suspenseful, dangerous and riddled with intrigue.
Her attention to detail is phenomenal, the characters are riveting, and the storyline suspenseful, intriguing, action filled not to mention oh so sexy and hot. I loved every word. And, once again her treatment of Ian "Big Tag" Taggart is absolutely hilarious. He is absolutely the most sarcastic a$$hole there is but I love him to pieces.
Do yourself a favor. If you haven't read all the books in this series. Do it! You won't be disappointed. If you only read this book you will definitely get a taste of Lexi Blake's literary mastery. She's number ONE in my book.

Nick Markovic wanted to kill the people who killed his sister. Him and Des was like oil and water they did not mix well but still had some love for each other. Nick was in love with Hayley Dalton as well but never thought that he was good enough for her. Hayley got some things from Des after she died and her life was put on the line. She finds out that her dad faked his death, burn her house. She ran to Nick to help her out of being framed for things that she did not do. Read this book to find out everything that happen I am sure that you will love it

As always Lexi has done it again! Another great heart wrenching ride. I stand in line for months every time one is coming and I am never disappointed ! You must love alpha males with self doubt and women who are strong and only put up with so much before they make their own plans. I think the flaws her characters have are little reminders nobody is perfect even the hero. I think thats one of the things I really love about this series. Ian and Charlie are hysterical and brilliant we never hear much from them it was a great reminder of the net that holds Mckay and Taggart together. Bravo Lex as always Write On!!!!!!!! And On!!!!!!!!

This book is #13 in the Masters & Mercenaries series though it can and does read as a standalone. This is the first book I've read by Lexi Blake but definitely won't be the last.
The banter between the characters, not just the H & h, but all of them was so easy and enjoyable.
I love this book and even though it's a Romantic/suspense, I spent most of the time reading it smiling, snickering, laughing, or quite frankly turned on. I think my husband is going to be buying me the rest of the series.
There were quite a few wonderful quotes I wish I could put in this review, but there is one that hits a deep chord within:
"...Home isn’t a place. It’s people. It’s who we love and who loves us. ..."
That is something we need to remember at all times but it's the hardest lesson to learn.
This is one my top reads of the year to date. Grab you a copy and enjoy the ride. Great romance, great mystery and a chance for a Happily Ever After.

Please RateFor His Eyes Only (Masters and Mercenaries Book 13)
