Red Stone Security Series Box Set: Volume 1

Book 1: Porter and Lizzy – Most of the story seemed to flow nicely except for a few inconsistencies. When reading, it’s like a little movie going on in my head, so when things don’t make sense, then it’s like the movie glitches and that’s a little frustrating. Example: Porter is making love to Lizzy, inches from her face, yet he has a death grip on her hips. In reality, when you picture this, Porter is now crushing Lizzy. Kind of screws up the little movie going on in my head. Little issue I know, but these little inconsistencies are scattered through-out the book, making it a little frustrating.
Book 2: Grant and Belle – Again with the inconsistencies. Example: Grant and Belle are making out. Belle has just had an orgasm but before Grant slides inside her, he has to check her slickness to make sure she’s ready. He knew a second ago that she was wet, for a fact, but now he has to make sure. Really? Frustrating. ALSO: big one here, Grant tells Belle that his father’s name is Keith. Yet, in the next book, he is constantly referred to as Richard. ????
Book 3: Harrison and Mara – This one was my favorite. It was the most emotional and had me really invested in their romance. But not the suspense plot. I still liked it though for the romance. But that issue with their dads name was again, frustrating. Also, she’s an ex-spy but she can’t figure out how to get the weapons out of her car without getting caught? She had them in a duffle bag before putting them in the cut-out in her trunk, so what; she took them out and their just laying there in the open? Doesn’t seem very plausible. And she was so desperate to hide the danger from Harrison, but simply because he won’t help her get those weapons out unless she tells him everything, she completely spills her guts to him right there are the street. Doesn’t make any sense. She was in the process of leaving him for his own good. Then after she tells him everything, she doesn’t consider leaving anymore. He’s still in just as much danger as he was before, so to not have her even make a token mention of still leaving didn’t make sense.
This author does well with romance, but not so well with suspense and keeping the plot cohesive. All of the actions scenes, in the entire series, are over too fast, don’t contain nearly enough mystery, and are entirely forgettable. Maybe she should just stick to romance and leave the mystery and suspense out.

Written well enough to keep the reader entertained. Certainly not the great American novel, interesting enough to keep one interested. A little too much emphasis on the sex episodes would be my only complaint.

NO ONE TO TRUST
The story brings us Elizabeth (Lizzy) Martinez and Porter Caldwell. These two meet in the offices of Red Stone Security. She is a computer specialist and he is a former Marine recently working for the business his father and brother started. A company made up of mostly ex-military , well trained men and women. The chemistry was instantaneous, but even though they dated for a couple of months, each went their separate ways.
Now Elizabeth’s brother, Benny, a recovering addict, is in trouble with drug lords and Elizabeth is determined to help him. She not only loves him but feels she owes him. Porter is determined to stick by her and in doing so, their attraction intensifies, while the danger around them multiples.
The story not only moves quickly, but it’s engaging and filled with bad guys, a gutsy , and strong female character, an alpha good guy, and of course , romance.
Will the two of them be able to safe Benny, will their relationship move forward, or will it all come back to haunt them at the end?
A story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
DANGER NEXT DOOR
The main characters are Grant Caldwell and Belle Manikas. Grant, a former Miami PD detective, is still recovering from a drug bust gone wrong. He was left with not only external deforming scars, but also with internal ones. Belle, has just moved next to Grant , and the attraction between them is instant. Though she currently is a nurse, she knows all about scars and pain, since she too has them.
It was heartwarming to see these two lower the walls around themselves. Thanks to Belle, Grant seems to start living. But evil has surrounded them, and someone wants to hurt Belle. Grant has come to her rescue a couple of times but will he be able to safe her once again?
FATAL DECEPTION
Another nail biting, heart stopping, suspenseful , intense , edgy and sexy story in this very entertaining series by Ms Reus.
This one gives us Mara Caldwell and Harrison . He was a CIA agent and now works at the Red Stone Security with his brothers. They have been married for a couple of years. But Mara has kept him in the dark about her past. But then, her past has come back to haunt her and put all those she love in danger.
Will the past and her deception destroy their marriage? Will she live to know the answer to that , and if she does , can he trust her and their future.
A fast pacing story that will leave you wanting to read more stories in this series.

One of the things I liked about these stories was the fast pace with many twists and turns along the way. And I loved that the heroes were so capable and could handle terrifying but exciting situations. In each of these stories, the men were determined to save/protect the women that were important to them. But I especially liked the women. They worked along with the men instead of just being a beautiful woman waiting to be saved.

These steamy romantic suspense stories are full of action and have wonderful characters. They each have good plots and endings. I recommend this set to romantic suspense fans.

NO ONE TO TRUST - Book 1

Elizabeth Martinez is always helping her brother out of trouble. Unfortunately, this time the trouble is much worse. While trying to help her brother Benny, Elizabeth lands in the hands of a Miami drug lord.

They may have broken up but Porter Caldwell still wants Lizzy and he knows she's going to get hurt trying to help her brother. Porter arrives just in time to save Lizzy from a scary situation but now Porter and Lizzy find themselves on the run from a vicious man. Will they survive?

Things are hot in No One To Trust. The fast action and sweet seduction make No One To Trust a must read suspenseful novella. While I agree with Porter that Lizzy may run to her brothers rescue way too much, I think he was a little too hard on her at first. However, the connection between Porter and Lizzy is strong enough to overcome this. No One To Trust is an intense thrill ride. Need an afternoon of excitement? Then this read is for you.

DANGER NEXT DOOR - Book 2
Former detective Grant Caldwell was seriously injured in an explosion during his last case. Now he's learning how to deal with his new life and his scarred body. He's content with shutting himself away in his home and living a boring life until his beautiful next door neighbor needs his help.

When Belle Manikas gets manhandled in her new back yard her hot neighbor comes to the rescue. Belle has been sheltered by her parents most of her life so she's not used to all of these new feelings that she's having. The attraction she feels for Grant is swift and all encompassing. She doesn't see the scars that Grant is so focused on.

It's a good thing that Grant is thorough and determined to protect Belle because it appears danger is stalking her. Can he protect her, find love and get his life back in the process? Find out in Danger Next Door.

Danger Next Door is definitely my favorite Red Stone Security story so far. There is something so incredibly sexy about a tortured hero getting his groove back as he finds love. I can't get enough of Grant and Belle. These two are so perfect for each other and their scenes are scorching. Katie Reus continues to keep her suspense intense and her couples passionate with Danger Next Door.

FATAL DECEPTION - Book 3
Harrison and Mara Caldwell make the perfect couple. It's too bad the secrets that Mara is holding onto threaten everything that she holds dear. Harrison knew when he married Mara that she had secrets. He even has a few of his own but he never imagined that the secret she's holding on to could turn their world upside down and put the woman he loves in danger.

Mara's past is dark and complicated and it has come back to haunt her. She wants to protect the man she loves and he wants to protect her as well. Will Mara and Harrison be able to save each other from their past evils? More importantly will they ever be able to trust one another again?

I was completely shocked by Mara's secret. I definitely understood why she never told Harrison but I was so pissed at her for the first decision she made after learning the truth was coming out. Thankfully she was forced to work with Harrison which made them communicate. Fatal Deception is full of high emotion and action. Harrison and Mara have great chemistry and it was hard to see them fighting because I loved them so much in the first two books. Fatal Deception is an excellent read high on drama and heart.

REVIEW:
I picked this set up to read while camping and really liked it. Hot sex and dangerous situations. Each story is a quick little read but still has enough information to make the story flow. I was glad that each story was different and I never felt it got monotonous. I would have liked to see it all fleshed out more in a full length novel but I have no complaints and plan to pick up Volume II and see what happens with the brothers next.

Three brothers that are unbelievably hot,sexy,overprotective,confident and bossy who are willing to go the extra mile and protect the woman they love. Sign me up baby. Seriously the heroes in this book were to die for. Perfectly written. However Harrison's wife frustrated the hell out of me. I mean I can understand where she was coming from regarding her trust issues, but come on that's her husband. She married him for better or for worse. If she truly loved him she would of told him the truth from the beginning of their relationship.Love is powerful and can pretty much overcome anything. Glad they all got their HEA. Onwards to the box set Volume 2

This set is a great read. The storylines revolve around three brothers and Red Stone Security, a company started by their father, who is former CIA. They are all highly skilled alpha males, and each book has them challenged to save the women in their lives. Book One was a little slow in places, but books two and three more than made up for it. I plan to read more by this author. The set is on my recommend and reread lists.

I really enjoyed reading this series. Each story was well written. I especially liked the way Ms. Reus intertwined the stories. I didn't have a favorite story. I liked all of them. Loved all the characters and the hot sex scenes. Looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Great fast reads that are definitely worth the price. Each story is well written and sexy. The heroes are all Alpha and bad a** and the heroines are smart and well developed.
Will be picking up all the future titles of the series.

No One To Trust

Benny has always been there for Lizzy even though the rest of their family thought of him as the black sheep, she just couldn't, no matter what. Porter may not like that Benny put Lizzy in danger but he had happily help her rescued him.

Lizzy and Porter knew thaf no matter what they said or did, they couldn't walk away from each other.

Danger Next Door

RED STONE SECURITY series box set : volume 1 was mind-blowing.....It was action packed, loved how the heroines equally matched the hereos. Katie Reus never disappoint when it comes to drawing her readers in.
