I LOVED THE STORY AND THE CHARACTERS. I THOUGHT IT WAS WELL WRITTEN AND WELL EXECUTED. THERE ARE SOME REALLY TENSE TIMES WHEN IT IS HARD TO PUT THE BOOK DOWN. I LIKE THIS AUTHOR A LOT AND WOULD LIKE TO READ MORE

Would be 5 stars with less graphic gore. Story line makes you want to know if the family can begin to revive the human/dragon race. Will buy the next series and try to skim over what I'm expecting in the way of more graphic violence and gore.

This was May first exposure to Daniel Arenson`s writing, I am definitely a new fan. The stories are fast paced with never-ending twist and turns. I was amazed at the imagination in the writing of all three books. Never a dull moment. I would highly recommend these books to anybody. You want be sorry!

This book contains some mature content but otherwise a perfect book of fantasy. I give it a 5-star rating because of its intense adventures and the few twists and turns. I would recommend this book to young adults or war seekers. There is war, drama, betrayal and love all in one fantastic book series.

I thought it was an excellently written book. Just with any other series there were mistakes here and there, i often wondered who was speaking etc. But I thought the positives most definitely outweighed the negatives!! Great character development, and I really grew to love some of the characters. Very imaginative and gross at the same time. Keep doing your thing!!

Blood of Requiem - Book One
4 Stars
This was an interesting book about shape shifting dragons. Their kind have been almost wiped out from the world. I really enjoyed the story line. There was a lot of repeating but with the changing of point of view between characters it was almost needed. Dies Irie is the brother to Benedictus, the King of Requiem, he was born without the magic to change into a dragon and therefor became bitter and started a war against all "weredragons", killing them all. He also kidnapped one of the King's twin daughters, raising her as his own and turn her into a hard woman who kills innocent weredragons and hunt her own parents (without her knowledge that they are her parents and that she too is a weredragon) One other young man who has the magic is alive and he finds the King and fights against Dies Irie in hope of reclaiming Requiem.
Tears of Requiem - Book Two
4 Stars - but that was lucky
I had high hopes that the second book would be just as good and while the dragon were awesome, the nightshades in this book that Dies Irie sent out after the weredragons seemed to through me off a little. Still the same plot. Reclaiming Reqiuem and they want to kill Dies Irie. In the end they find a way to overcome the nightshades (I will not tell you how) but leave Dies Irie alive.
Light of Requiem - Book Three
3 1/2 Stars - that is because I like the dragons
By the third book I am frustrated. I have read how they shift a hundred times into dragons. The scales, the wings, the fire in their mouth.... It almost seems like every character change it is repeated. By now, I know all that and just want the story. Of course you can guess that the third book is the same... reclaim Requiem and kill Dies Irie. Love the dragons and the family but now Dies Irie has made mimics to send after them and kill them. By the end its like just kill the guy already.
Honestly, if you like dragons, war, a little fantasy and maybe a little creepy ( book three is creepy/strange ) then I totally recommend these books for you! If you don't like those three things, then they are probably not for you.

Fantastically written series that has a great pace that keeps you wanting more and finding that time to read whenever you can. This has all the traditional good vs bad elements that you would expect but Daniel adds his own flair which only enhances the stories and characters! A great read that I will go back to again and again.

This was a wonderful fantasy series with lots of details. It got bogged down in a few places but for the most part it was fun to read. I liked having the entire series at my fingertips as I don't like waiting for sequels to come out.
