Kate is suffering from a really bad case of writers block. Her creative juices start flowing when she takes her car into the Customer Care center at Tires Depot. The comfortable setting, the coffee, the baked goods; it is all doing great things for her writing. It is all going well until the Miles the mechanic sees her sneaking in everyday. He is intrigued, they flirt, and he agrees to not spill her secret. These two form a friendship but the attraction is strong with these two. Miles is out of a bad breakup and he has jealously issues. He just can't commit to something new right now. Kate has her own issues. An ex that is still living with her and the little lie she told Miles. It is certain to blow up in her face.
I liked Wait with Me. If you are in the mood for a light and funny rom-com then this is the book for you. I did find something about the sex scenes a bit of a turn off. I was also annoyed with Miles being in denial and Kate keeping her secret. Still, it was a fun read and it will hit the spot for many readers.

If you are part of the romance community, you will probably know the story behind this book. Oh does it make me giggle and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book! Right from the start, I was completely enthralled with every word and every action of Kate and Miles. The chemistry and banter of these two had me giggling and swooning at the same time.
Throughout this story, you can see the fight both Miles and Kate have against their attraction and turning it into something more than just book research. There are so many ups and downs as these two navigate through what is and isn’t in their relationship. To say Miles is your perfect book boyfriend is putting it mildly. And the sass of Kate is hilarious. She really does give him a run for his money.
Overall, this book was everything and so much more. With the parts of the story being based on the events that happened to the author while writing this story, to the epic love story between Miles and Kate. This story will make every woman want a mechanic in her life!

I received a free copy through the author in exchange for an honest and unbiased review/opinion.
3 stars — This one started off really strong. I loved the story behind it, hence why I requested it (even though I haven’t yet read a book by Ms. Daws). And it was so cute and funny, and I was enjoying the characters and laughing out loud at the start! At least a 4 star for sure. But as the book went on, it started losing my interest. I started not enjoying the characters quite as much, and there existed elements that are just not my *personal* faves, you know? And alas, by the end it just didn’t end up being a hit for me.
Kate started off really strong. She was quirky and adorable, and I loved how she was such a straight shooter at the beginning. She felt very authentic a lot of the time. But not all of the time unfortunately. This book suffered from lie-itis…you know, where for some reason one character decides to lie (or hide) some stuff from the other main character, and while you may have understood the initial reasons, after awhile you just stop understanding why they haven’t come clean. It’s not my favourite trope, and it took up a lot of time and space in this story…it was the basis for the main conflict. And it became hard to empathize with Kate as much as I did initially… I still did for some things, but I really didn’t understand other things she did.
I totally thought I was going to love Miles. The Miles we meet at the beginning is adorable and funny, and I loved how Kate sort of got under his skin. But his damage was way bigger than I expected, and I wasn’t a fan of his contradictory actions/thinking. It was the kind of thing where if it just happened initially, but then we saw him figure shiznit out, then I would have accepted it. But he continuously treated Kate like a girlfriend (complete with jealousy and possessiveness that I did *NOT* find attractive personally), while telling her he wanted casual. It just didn’t work for this reader. And as a side note with the jealousy/possessiveness, he had serious temper/anger management issues. Also not something I personally find attractive.
As for the two of them together, while they could be super cute and had some great conversations and flirting, I was put off by their first major steamy scene where Miles was more aggressive than I’d like (without first making sure Kate would be OK with it), and that rubbed me wrong and so I just wasn’t as involved with them together. That’s not going to make a lot of sense, but it’s just a personal preference that unfortunately tainted my experience.
I also found that the longer they talked about their awful exes and the horrible things they put up with, the more I started to wonder what it said about our main characters, you know? Basically I got my think on, and my brain wouldn’t stop.
Now, saying all that, the hilarious parts were seriously hilarious. I’m having a hard time writing this review though b/c my rating went down as the book went on. So I’m trying to add more positive, but my brain is stuck. But know that the book started off solid 4, it just ended more like a 2-2.5, and I averaged. *shrugs* Won’t stop me from trying another book by Ms. Daws, these just might not have been the characters for me.

Spectacular! Phenomenal! Awestruck! There aren’t enough adjectives or words to show my love and appreciation for a story that highlights just how fabulous and amazing love can be between two ordinary people!! Wait With Me is a breathtaking masterpiece that literally and quietly stole and reshaped my heart. Nothing could have prepared me for this brilliant story and the extraordinary characters who would take the very breath from my lungs throughout this ordinary and yet wondrous journey. Loves makes the ordinary extraordinary. It turns a person into the one only one can fit the empty part of your soul and heart. They become perfection for you and only you. That is the very heart and soul of this miraculous adventure.
Kate is a romance author who has suddenly developed a massive case of writer’s block. At the same time her personal life is turned upside down by the break up with her ex of two years. She is in dire need of a healthy injection of real love and lasting hope to help her move on. Putting her personal life on the back burner, she works on cracking her writer’s block, but the only shining light is at the Tire Depot when she takes her car in for service. Miles has hit a very low point in his life, and he needs a way to kickstart something good for a change. When he literally collides with a pretty redhead out the employee entrance of his workplace, he never could have imagined what was in store for him. Will breaking her writer’s block be enough to satisfy Kate, or will she find that she longs for even more from the Tire Depot? Can Miles accept the precious gift given to him, or will he decide that Kate is not the one for him and walk at the first signs of conflict?
I thoroughly enjoyed how love unexpectedly brought Miles and Kate together. Neither was looking for the other and yet when the time was right, things fell into step and they hit it off so great. Watching this epic romance play out was enough to make me cry a few times at just how good it was between them. When people are meant to be together, it is truly amazing just how well they get along and how well things can work out. I long for that so hard. Kate and Miles have the best friends ever. They are incredibly supportive and yet don’t back down with the hard truth when the time comes. Life is hard and complicated, but finding your other half makes it less bumpy and simpler. It is the closest to Heaven that you will ever find this side of Earth.
Amy Daws is an epically brilliant author who never fails to deeply touch my heart and light my senses on fire. Her writing is marvelous, and I look forward to each precious work of art that she meticulously brings to life. Do not miss this masterpiece even though it is a standalone book. Attack is with the same eagerness as you would to a book in one of her amazing series. This story is EVERYTHING!!!
I can’t say enough good things about the narrators! They are fabulous and do amazing justice to both Miles and Kate. I was in awe throughout the entire story! You do not want to miss this fantastic performance. It is just WOW!!

WAIT WITH ME is a hilarious and charming novel to both read and listen to. It certainly made it a lot more funny knowing that some of Kate’s story actually played out for the author in real life. I loved following along with her real life experience at TTT. It was an absolute hoot to read, and to be able to read and listen to the inspired story allowed me to feel close to Kate. This is a quick read and really easy to get into.
Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton were outstanding as usual. They both captured the essence of these characters so well. Their quirks, anger, passion, insecurities—I heard and felt it all. I always prefer dual narration, but they voiced the other’s sections fantastically that I didn’t even mind. These two narrators brought Miles and Kate to life on all points.
The story started off great as it built up really nicely. I was strongly engaged throughout the first half, but about midway, the pacing began to slow. The big issue in this story for the characters, which I felt was a bit weak, was Kate’s secret. The truth that she was withholding was frustrating because of how ridiculous it was; So small that Miles’ overreaction to it was especially silly.
Yeah, Miles had been burned in the past by an ex and I understood his insecurities about people keeping secrets from him. BUT, I still think his reaction was absurd.
Nevertheless, the characters are pretty likable overall. Miles and Kate had great chemistry that had a smooth, steamy transition from strangers to friends to lovers. The banter was funny and cute, making their relationship lovely to read. I also really liked the friends of both who added depth and humor when necessary. I’d love to see those characters fleshed out more in their own books.
While I don’t think this story was as strong as it could’ve been or as some of the other Amy Daws books I’ve read, it’s still an awesome read that should be on your TBR list.

When Ms. Daws started posting her obsession with visiting her local Tires, Tires Tires store because the writer's block she had been experiencing had finally had a breakthrough, I would find myself laughing out loud because her IG stories were hilarious. I mean who goes to a local tire store multiple times in a couple week process because they feel like this place is a writing nirvana? I'll tell you who, it's the amazing and fabulous Ms. Daws....and so her journey of making multiple trips to a place that she thinks has cured said writer's block to a place that has become her "home office" supplied with endless cups of coffee and the most delicious cookies ever. And so a new book was born...
I absolutely loved this book about a romance novelist and the mechanic that's servicing her car! It's cute, funny, and oh so sexy!! Miles is a man that's got some baggage and isn't really looking for anything other than maybe the occasional opportunity to "scratch an itch." That is until the beautiful author who's words are surprisingly flowing like lava out of her while waiting for her car, her family members cars and even her neighbors cars races into his world.
These two couldn't do anything but explore what was a sizzling connection between them. I mean he's the epitome of one of her heroes in her own books so who is she to turn down the opportunity to have a few sessions between the sheets or any of the other multiple places they were "fogging up the windows" at...ahem let's just say getting dirty in the garage has a whole new meaning!. But what started as a friends with benefits relationship becomes more than either of them ever expected or were looking for.
Once I started this newest book by Ms. Daws I was a goner hook, line and sinker. I found myself rolling my eyes at the snarky comments our H/h would fling at each other while trying not to snort laugh too loudly while alternately fanning myself from the heat these two generated when they were between the "proverbial" sheets...who knew there were so many ways and places to have sex in a mechanic's garage?!?!
What it comes down to is that Ms. Daws has turned what became a way to get some writing done while doing good deeds for EVERYONE she knew who had a car into a story that has gone viral and it's another not to be missed book by an author that has become a staple in my reading world.

Audio-book: Narrators – Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton
Oh my gawd!!! I absolutely LOVED this audio! Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton do a freaking amazing job of bringing Kate and Miles to life! Each successfully narrated both male and female voices during their narrations and they were spot on! No cringing here just smooth perfection as the narration flows from one point of view to the next, one character to the next. This is vocal acting, not just reading the lines and I loved every moment of it!
Kate has hit a bit of writer’s block after the breakup with her ex. Recently she discovered that the Tire Depot’s customer care center had delicious coffee, luscious baked goods, and the ability to break through her mental wall. She is now on a roll and her biggest hurdle is being sure she doesn’t get booted out of the CCC before she types “The End”.
Miles spent years off and on trying to make a relationship work and now that he’s finally able to completely turn his back on his ex he’s trying to make up for lost time. When the sexy redhead sneaks out the employees exit of the Tire Depot he’s intrigued. What follows was some of the cutest flirting and conversations I’ve ever read.
This couple made me happy! Despite Kate’s secret, despite that Miles was adamant he didn’t want anything permanent, despite the threat of Kate’s ex returning, this was so much fun! I grinned, I laughed, I snorted and I never stopped once I started. It was freaking amazing! I’m thinking that I’ve been missing out on this author’s work because this was my first but I’ll be dang if it’s going to be my last!

4.5 Life Imitating Art Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free
Oh, how do I start this review. There is just so much to relate to...The premise is an author who is blocked and ends up finding her writing groove in the Customer Care Center at the local Tire Depot. It becomes a vital necessity for her to be there everyday to use their comfy chairs and drink the gourmet coffee while she works on her final book of her series.
Now to take a moment and she shows you how this book will rock your world, the author is an Erotic Romance author... Yes, she self proclaims she writes Smut...all kinds of kinky, sexy smut. So from the beginning to the very end, all of the dialogue is real, hysterical, naughty, dirty and the best...There will be moments where you will laugh so friggin' hard, best pray you have no need for the powder room because you may not make it in time.
Kate Smith is our author and with a name like that, she has always felt less than... a little boring. She tripped into becoming a romance writer and was so sure it was a fluke, she gave herself the name of Mercedes Lee Loveletter. Yup, a real mouthful...and wouldn't you know it, the book that was a joke, became a bestseller and an author was born.
Kate recently dumped her ex and is trying to get her life and writing in order. Unfortunately, she is also fighting with him about the condo's lease. She found it, her best friend lives next door in the complex, so she is not giving up and moving out. This causes a sort of "War of the Roses" situation with her now living in the downstairs bedroom. The ex-swine can have the master and with him away at the Hampton's for the summer, it is like he isn't there anyway...
But his bad vibe is causing Kate to be unable to write one little word in her own home. It was only when she got her car fixed, did the overwhelming rush of ideas and words hit her...
So Tire Depot's Customer Care Center it was....
Miles Hudson has his own stuff he is dealing with... He just quit smoking and is using red licorice as a substitute cigarette. He knows it is dumb but somehow pretending it is one seems to help a bit. He is standing outside taking a break when Kate is doing her sneaky stealth thing... She thinks putting her head down and walking like she belongs on the premises will get her into the employee entrance without anyone noticing...Only this time she had her head down so far, she walked straight into Miles...
And Bammmm!
Kate looks up and sees the epitome of what every Book Boyfriend is... a Huge, Built Man with muscles on muscles, sculpted jaw, piercing eyes and close cropped dark hair....She couldn't have dreamed up a better specimen...Hell, he had on a tank showing his arms streaked with grease and sweat coming out of a half done up coverall. If it had been a movie... steam would have been pouring off of him...
Miles and Kate get themselves together... with Miles asking if Kate is ok...She say yes and slips into the employees' door. Miles is curious and goes to the center another time to see this woman who keeps showing up there. They have some banter exchanges and when it comes to telling who she is... Kate is embarrassed about how she kept bring other peoples cars to be fixed so she could write there. She ends up telling him her name is Mercedes. This way he won't be able to look her up in the client records.
What happens from this point is a reader's bliss... This woman is a delight in her realness. Miles is recovering from a horrific past relationship... the kind you wish you could punish the woman who ruined the man she tortured. She caused so much painful drama over the years, Miles is in no shape to risk himself again for any woman.
So when both Kate and Miles start to have sparks fly... Miles sends mixed messages and Kate doesn't know what is happening...They finally do decide on a Casual Thing.
Friendly... Friends with Benefits...
OMG.... I Cannot...I just suggest you have all of your Laundry Done...Amy Daws writes Miles and Kate getting together in a way that will knock you out..Just sayin'
But with all the smokin' hot chemistry... do not ignore the sweet and real, too. All of it was done so well.
There are hiccups with these two, what would a story be with angst...I found it to be extremely entertaining and an extremely satisfying read. Many laughs, lots of Swoon and a couple to root for.

Holy Wow!! Amy Daws totally ROCKED this Book!!
Laugh out loud moments. Relatable characters. Fresh and witty Dialogue. Just enough Passion with the right amount of Steam.
This book had it all and more.
Amy Daws did an awesome job on Wait With Me.
My favorite read from her yet!
I absolutely loved Kate aka Mercedes. She had a vibrant, fresh attitude and didn’t care what people thought of her.
Kate’s a romance writer (go figure) who lost her mojo and suffered from writers block.
At a trip to get her car fixed, she finally finds inspiration in the Customer Care Center where the amazing coffee is free and the words flow like a river.
As Kate dives into her words and builds a story under the keys of her laptop, she meets Miles who is one of the mechanics at the Tire Shop.
Miles is what us romance readers consider “Book Boyfriend” material. He’s tall, tanned, and has muscles for days.
Kate can’t help but be attracted to him and that gorgeous smirk he likes to throw her way.
As Kate and Miles get to know one another, Kate finds that she can let her guard down when she lives as Mercedes, the erotic writer with a dirty mind. But what Kate fails to realize is that she doesn’t have to live behind her alter ego Mercedes because she is Mercedes.
This was a fun and easy read.
I listened to this on audiobook which was narrated by two of my absolute favorites, Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton.
Both narrators were fantastic. They truly embraced Miles and Kate and told their story perfectly. You couldn’t have picked anyone better!!
Fabulous listen!! One of my favorites this year!!
Highly Enjoyed and Definitely Recommend!!!!

It’s pretty much guaranteed that every time I pick up a book by Amy Daws that she will have me laughing within the first few pages, and she has yet again proven this true in her latest novel, 'Wait With Me'. This light-hearted, quirky, and sweet romance was such a delightful read!
Amy Daws creates the most down-to-earth and relatable characters in her stories, and they always seem to have their own unique charm! Kate Smith, writing under the pen name of Mercedes Lee Loveletter, was so fun and feisty, and although she was quite courageous, she also had her insecurities as well. Miles Hudson really was just a simple and truly sweet guy. Finally moving on from his crazy ex-girlfriend, he was done with drama in his life. However, Miles couldn’t help but be intrigued by the beautiful redhead furiously typing away in the corner at his work every day. When she asks him to help her with her ‘research’ for her novel, how could he possibly say no?
Miles and Kate were so fun and playful together, and everything just melded together naturally between them. Throughout the story, there was a slow-building passion growing between them, much deeper than their initial attraction, which soon turned into feelings neither were ready to admit. Although they didn’t share everything initially, there was still a genuine understanding and honesty between Kate and Miles, and I loved how they appreciated each other for who they were!
Amy Daws just has the best sense of humor, and I love how well she conveys it into her writing! She has this tremendous ability to capture relatable thoughts and emotions on paper, which makes her stories feel very realistic. They're always unique and engaging, and although this was a step away from her trademark British flair, I admire her for branching out and thought this was a refreshing change of pace!
'Wait With Me' was such an fun read, and I really enjoyed it! There’s a lot of backstory to it as well with Amy Daws actually writing this in her hometown at Tires, Tires, Tires and sharing her journey on her Instagram. It’s seriously funny as well, so if you haven’t checked that out, you definitely should!

I had heard about this book's premise and background while scrolling through Facebook and that intrigued me enough to download it as one of my KindleUnlimited subscriptions.
Rightfully, this book only deserves three stars based on the highly unlikely lifestyle of the three main friends. Colorado is near California levels of expensive so I doubt they could live the way they do writing books--though I wish it were so!
The Tire Depot scenes were hilarious and kinda relatable. My Honda dealership recently remodeled and they have popcorn, cookies, free water, wifi and very cushy sofas. Needless to say, I can identify with Kate's attachment to her new writing space. However the techs always stayed in their busy workspace and never came to flirt with me...*sigh*
Miles was a fun, hardworking man for Kate to fall for. It was an interesting romance novel choice for them to flirt for so long before moving to a sexual relationship. But boy did they move forward! (No, they don't have sex in the Tire Depot.) I kept off a star for a few reasons regarding the romance. Kate still living with her jerk of an ex-boyfriend and keeping it from Miles was just weird. I know, I know, there had to be an obstacle...but that one's so unlikely. Or is it the author's concession to the true high cost of living in Colorado? The other reason, Miles is the latest in a long line of men that is sweet and calm in public and a domineering sex god in bed. Has anyone else actually encountered any of these men, or are they relegated to romance fantasy land?
Choosing to have Kate think of her writer and personal lives as separate was intriguing, especially for a romance novelist.

Amy Dawes has a reputation as an excellent author and while I own all of her books, I hadn’t had the please of reading them. I found her through social media and met her at a recent book signing. Since I spend most of my time working as an editor and blogger, I don’t spend as much reading ‘just because’. However, Wait With Me was offered to bloggers recently and I jumped all over the chance to add Amy’s latest book into my schedule. I certainly wasn’t disappointed. I absolutely loved this book.
Amy Dawes writes sexy rom-coms that leave readers unable to put the books down. I was extremely wrapped up in the story and the characters of this book. Heroine Kate, an indie author who writes erotica, uses a Tires Depo to write the final installment in a series after she suffers from writer’s block. In turn she finds her latest muse in sexy mechanic Miles. Amy Dawes just became one of my favorite authors! I couldn’t stop reading Wait With Me! While I tend to love angsty reads, I don’t really feel like this one was. Instead, readers get a straight up fun, super sexy read. I laughed out loud or had a smile on my face through more than 90% of the story. I love when authors write characters that feel real and authentic and Kate was just such a heroine. Also, not going to bother denying how HAWT I found Miles. Definitely Book Boyfriend worthy!!!
I am so glad I was selected to review for Wait With Me. It was outstanding. Also, I can’t wait til I can pick up all the books that I already own in Amy Dawes backstock, because if they are anything like WWM, they are nothing short of a five-star read!

This book is beyond epic for so many reasons.
This book came about from a real life experience for this author that I had the pleasure of following along happily on her crazy train experience. And I don't think I have ever been more excited to read a book in my entire life because of this. (I would highly recommend checking out the social media phenom before you read....I want you to have the full experience!) Our lovely author here takes her car in for service and discovers the holy mecca of tire shop waiting rooms. Fancy complimentary coffee, cookies, and an ice cold coke machine.....what more does an author need? Her first trip brings her an astounding amount of words....and she finds many many ways to keep visiting her new holy grail. The coffee is smooth, the cookies are fresh, and the words are a plenty. Many more Instagram episodes later....and she is the new resident author.
What else could we have possibly expected to happen....she brought us a book. The storyline in the book is hysterically close to some of the real life situations our author experienced with her tire center.....and it's BLOODY BRILLIANT to read how she incorporated it into this amazing tale. I haven't laughed this hard in so long. I can't say enough what an amazing experience it was to be able to read this book after following the sensational story of our author. I have never been more happy for one of my favorite authors to have writers block than I am in this moment. This book represents the culmination of this authors crazy ways.....and I wouldn't change a dang thing.
Oh....and for real...your next book boyfriend is waiting for you in these pages.

"Can you orgasm from happiness? I kinda think so."
Kate is a romance writer. She is trying really hard to finish her latest erotica series but she fears she's lost her words. Kate takes her car in for servicing and is hanging out in their amazing customer care center and BAM her vibe is back. She is pouring out ALL the words. Who knew the customer create center at her tire shop would be inspirational??!!?? It must be the free coffee and home made cookies. Soon after she will find any excuse to keep coming back. Her brothers need new tires? Never fear! Kate will take your car in. Your cousins coworker needs their car looked at? Kate is your girl!!! And so that begins the book. Kate desperate to finish her writing....at a tire shop.
Enter Miles. All Miles wants to do is work, go out occasionally with his buddies and move on from a really really really bad breakup. Miles was in an on again and off again relationship during his entire 20's. Now that he's 30 and single he plans on making up for lost time and staying DRAMA free. But once Miles spots the beautiful red head trying to sneak into the employee entrance to get to the customer comfort center he knows he's screwed.
This book is everything you'd expect in an Amy Daws novel and more. It's funny....actually hilarious....makes you cry laughing at times. It's heartfelt. It's sweet. It's HAWT and had two amazing characters and their friends. I could NOT put it down. It was so worth being a zombie at work the next day. I really hope this is a start to another series. After all.... Dean, Lynsey and Sam need to find their HEA!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of the book.
I so enjoyed Miles and Katie's story - and I'm pretty sure wondering just how much of the author's own details were imbued in the tale helps quite a bit. As someone who aspires to be a writer someday, I was totally enamored with Katie's process and the panic she felt when she lost her muse, as well as the elation when she rediscovered it in such an unconventional place. And Miles... Oh Miles! I just loved him. There were a few aspects of the plot (or perhaps they were more like character flaws) that grated me a bit and prevented this from being a 5 star read for me (I don't like when people keep unnecessary secrets, especially if their reasoning for keeping them is flimsy, I really don't like it when people claim to not like drama - if you're living, there is drama involved, and I also don't like it when a character walks away from a relationship without allowing the other party to offer some sort of explanation - they're just personal pet peeves of mine and I know they serve as plot devices AND they are situations that occur IRL, but I just don't like them!), but I gobbled this bad boy up and was consumed with it until the very last word. I'd like to see more stories based in this setting - Miles and Katie's friends were fantastic characters and served to make the story even more entertaining. 4 out of 5 wine glasses.

I had so much fun following Amy Daws’ Instagram stories about her days at Tires Tires Tires! When she announced she was writing a book based on her unconventional experience, I knew I needed to read this one! Wait with Me was my first read by this author and I really enjoyed it a lot! This is a light story that will keep a smile on your face and make you blush from the sexy moments.
When author Kate Smith finds her inspiration again in the waiting room of a tire shop, she begins sneaking there every day and gorging herself on complimentary coffees and cookies. It’s also at Tire Depot she meets sexy mechanic Miles. They’re both dealing with past relationships that hurt them, so they’re not interested in a new one, but every time they see each other a certain connection is there.
I enjoyed their easy banters from the start. While they try to maintain a platonic friendship, it’s becoming harder every day to deny those incredible sparks flying between them. Kate and Miles have so much chemistry and the flirty moments are swoon- worthy. They don’t take themselves too seriously and like teasing each other. The story is interesting and had my laughing constantly. While the tone of the story is mostly cheerful and funny, there’s also emotional moments that bring a deeper feel to it.
I definitely look forward to read more of Amy Daws’ books. Wait with Me is a novel that will keep you entertained from start to finish I assure you.

"I received a complimentary copy of this book and have volunteered to leave a review."
She is an Erotic Romance author. She proclaims she writes all kinds of kinky smut and she is really good at it. For her new story she chose to write inside the walls of a Tire Depot's center. For real! Wait For Me...Is the first book I have read by Amy Daws and OMG, I love it so damn much that my ribs still hurt from laughing and my heart from swooning!!!
Wait With Me storyline is an excellent example of how far an author could go for writing a good, generally accepted book. While someone would say it is an unorthodox way to make a Tire Depot's Center a writing cave, to me it means that the author does love her job and also respects their fans to no end.
Amy Daws unfolds the life of a smut author with a comedic approach, revealing bits and pieces of the life an author at this kind of genre might confront. Best part of the story, Kate's and Miles' witty banters and smoking hot sex encounters. Kate was a joy to read. Sweet, sexy, sassy...shy. I totally love her! Miles won my love too in the end, but he had been a creepy, jealous caveman at the beginning which was a bit unnerving. Amy Daws brought the feels and the sizzle with her incredible narration. I couldn't get enough of this story or this couple. Fast-paced and consuming, Wait With Me is Amy's most addictive, unputdownable romance to date.

It’s so funny I was reading parts aloud to friends. Not only did I laugh HYSTERICALLY, I bonded with Kate and Miles.
This book was so endearing and lighthearted yet the realness portrayed by these characters with all real emotion connection to the trials and tribulations we go through.
Kate and Miles. Kate was real, flawed and feisty. She was a remarkable heroine. And Miles is a FANTASTIC book boyfriend. Things from his past play a role in his actions of today, but he was so vulnerable. It was an adventure watching he and Kate’s relationship unfold.
This is the perfect rom-com.

Well this book was everything I wa hoping it would be. Hilariously funny, Kate/Mercedes is a one of a kind character. How could she not pretend to be Mercedes - her pen name - when her life as boring Kate Smith was going from bad to worse. I liked her uniqueness and how she solved her own problems. Finding a place that many authors wouldn't think of so she could hear her muse. Then to the way she lived her life in general. I would like to think that if I knew Kate in the real world, we would definitely be friends.
Miles' interactions with the opposite sex has been nothing short of abysmal. He has finally broken free from his ten year on off relationship with his ex, only to leave him hesitant to ever be in another relationship again. So Miles decided to only be friends with Kate, later adding the benefits part. There were times I really felt sorry for Kate. You could tell she was feeling anything but just friends for Miles, but I had to give credit to her for sticking with him knowing that was all she was ever going to get.
At the climax of this story, I just wanted to slap Miles and to yell at him to wake up to himself. He had a great woman in front of him, but all he could think about was the woman who was so very much behind him.
I loved this book, it is quite a sexy read and as I said before, absolutely hilarious.

Kate Smith is an erotic writer who has lost her writing mojo until she finds her magical place. This happens to be a Tire Depot, where the coffee is hot, the cookies are delicious, and the mechanics are the hottest of them all. Kate meets her match in Miles, the hottest and fairest mechanic of them all. Shenanigans ensue when Kate introduces herself as her alter ego Mercedes.
This story had me giggle snorting so hard that I nearly died. Kate/Mercedes is so relatable and down to Earth. She loves her Gilmore Girls, and her pop culture references. Miles is so relatable, and you just feel their chemistry and attraction from your reading device. But what really captured my attention was how easily Kate and Miles fell for one another. It was organic and not rushed. There were a few moments where they would pump the brakes on their attraction to one another, and I was screaming at them to get it together.
This story was inspired by true events, and lots of shenanigans. To find out what events are true, read the book. It kind of inspires me to go check out the tire shop in town, but I’m scared to see those mechanics playing with their wrenches. The author of this story really knows how to draw you into her world and escape your troubles. I will recommend this story to others who enjoy rom-coms.

OHWOWOHWOWOHWOW! My first Amy Daws book I have ever read and IT. WAS. DAMN. FUNNY, IRRESISTIBLY ENTERTAINING AND SERIOUSLY CUTE AND HOT AT THE SAME TIME! I can honestly see why Wait With Me was one of the most HIGHLY anticipated books of the year. The story made me LAUGH OUT LOUD AND OFTEN, made me crave the need to find my very own Tire and Auto body shop to do my blogging in because DAMN..I SO want to drink some fancy coffee and eat free cookies and have a comfy place to get my own mojo going. And the hottie mechanic..OMG I could picture him PERFECTLY in my minds eye and I WANTED him! This book is JUST THE ABSOLUTE BEST!
I love a good romantic comedy, but Wait With Me didn't feel like the average rom-com. It felt like it was a million light years of AMAZING! I wasn't sure what to expect but it wasn't this much fun and sexiness, snark, sass, laughs, or cuteness that's for sure! Amy Daws has got a new stalker...I mean fan after reading this book. I am kicking myself silly for not having heard of her sooner. The witty banter, the amazing chemistry, the outrageous humor was EVERYTHING. God, if there is only ONE romantic comedy you pick up this year, make sure its Wait For Me! You DO NOT want to miss this AWESOMENESS!
Wait For Me gets a WONDERFULLY WITTY AND SPECTACULARLY WRITTEN TEN WHOLE GLORIOUS STARS!

Amy Daws NAILED this.

Just when you think you’ve read the funniest romantic comedies there are and swooned over the best book boyfriends and BOOM! In bursts in Amy Daws with Wait With Me and takes it to another level of awesomeness!
This book ticked so many of my boxes: Swoonfully, sexy hero? Check! Freaking hilarious banter? Check! Kickass and relatable as hell heroine? Check and check!
Jesus, let’s start with Miles because, umm, it’s Miles! He’s legitimately the perfect book boyfriend. He’s a sexy mechanic with a huge heart and just the right amount of possessive alpha in him. Uh, I’ll take take two please! Then we have Kate. She’s freaking adorable. I mean, it’s hard not to love the chick. She’s a romance writer...she’s a bookish person, what’s not to love?...who loves what she does and isn’t one bit ashamed of it.
My favorite part of the book was Miles and Kate together. Their banter was off the charts fantastic, their chemistry undeniable, and their story kept me smiling from cover to cover and beyond.
Amy Daws has created the perfect romantic comedy. It’s sexy, romantic, hilarious, perfectly written, and filled with endearing characters that you don’t want to forget and won’t. 5 stars.

I was completely consumed by this book! I didn’t want to put it down. It was laugh out loud funny, ridiculously sweet and gave me the feels! I was quickly lost in Kate’s and Miles’ journey. Kate has found herself suffering from writers block and she finds her mojo in the customer care center in her local tire shop. The situation she finds herself in is quite hilarious and after being a follower of Amy Daws’ social media, Kate’s situation is eerily similar ? This was a fun, light-hearted read. I enjoyed the banter between these characters, the chemistry between them was palpable and I didn’t want this book to end! Great book to lose yourself (or a day) in! Be sure not to let this book pass you by!

I loved everything about this fun, refreshing, and sexy romance! I was completely captivated by Kate and Miles story right from their very first hilarious and awkward run-in. They're both recovering from painful breakups and aren't looking for any drama. No matter how hard they fight their attraction, they have too much fun together, and their chemistry is too explosive to stay away. I love the creative ways they invent to spend time together. I really enjoyed watching Kate discover herself as she brings out sweet Miles' sexy, inner cave man. He really made the perfect book boyfriend.
Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton were the perfect Kate and Miles. Their comedic timing, and spot on inflections made me laugh, swoon, and cheer for Kate and Miles HEA. They easily bring these characters to life and allow you to get totally lost in this story.
This hilarious & heartfelt story with fascinating characters, witty banter, steamy passion and amazing narration, make this rom-com gold!

One of the most humorous, steamy, relevant, down to earth books I have read. Amy Daws has managed to find something new and exciting to write about, everyday life! Her characters could be your neighbors or any of us. Inspiration can be found anywhere, even in the mundane like a Tire Depot. Kate and Miles are fighting the pull of attraction because they do not want to let their guard down. What would happen when the other would see the real person, their true feelings? They had each been wronged before and were not ready to go through heartache again. A must read for all of us so that we can take a moment to find the humor in ourselves.

So I apparently was living under. Rock until the day I saw someone post Wait With Me live on Kindle unlimited and let me tell you, I lost all this goodness, and I now am addicted!
I read every word of this book in one swoop, couldn’t sleep, then started to read her other series because of how amazing she is!
So why is wait with me special? Not only does it show that people have flaws and can be comedic about themselves, but they can be real and enjoy life. I mean a writer who in real life is suffering from writers block, writes about a writer suffering from writers block in a tire shop!! GeNius!!
Now there are some great moments that I want to scream at the characters, especially the male lead having issues with jealousy, but then again that what draws me to him as well! That hot male who just has that flaw you can’t help but love.
If you were to get 1 book this year get this! Oh and get the Audio because omg HOT!!!

The h was obnoxious and childish. They spoke like teenagers. I knew I wasn't going to like the h when she got a (joke) cookie/coffee invoice from the tire shop and was "livid" that a respectable business would treat customers that way when it's complimentary. Huh. She wasn't a customer anymore and more than overused that customer friendly policy. She writes about it like it's funny and entertaining and she's entitled to it. That self-important attitude is what's wrong with society and I disliked her from that point on. She didn't redeem herself.

I have been anticipating this story every since Amy Daws started updating her daily happenings in the real Tire shop she'd been writing in. I can understand the atmosphere of a mechanic shop. I was practically raised in one. The smell, the feel, all of it. There's just something about it. So the trying to recreate it and failing with a burnt rubber scented candle is hilarious. There's no other smell out there. I loved this entire story. It's not every day you get a story about an auto mechanic, but I think we need more. What about Sam? Can we get a story about him? Anything to give us more of the Tire Depot.
Kate (Mercedes) and Miles are getting added to my list of favorite characters. Both and strong and funny, independent, and maybe just a little bit stubborn. They're willing to take whatever they can get. I can understand that. I loved them both. One of those stories that I didn't expect to love so much, but now won't be able to start thinking about!

Who would have thought that the Tire Depot would be the place where Kate the romance author would get over her writer’s block? While getting her car services the ideas begin flowing and she doesn’t want to leave so after she runs out of friends cars to drop by she tries to fly under the radar and hopes that nobody notices that she has set up shop in the waiting room.
Miles has been watching the Tire Depot’s frequent customer but he is not about to send her on her way as watching both her and her antics make his day. For a man who has given up on relationships and is only looking for casual she inspires feelings in him that are far from casual but with his trust issues from his past will the secrets destroy what could be the perfect romance?
The story line is original, the banter humorous and their chemistry is hot. This is another story by this author that doesn’t disappoint. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Amy Daws is known for her duet narration and English accents. These narrators are perfect for this story set in the midwest. I loved the duel narration and it flowed perfectly.
I have followed this story since Amy had her first trip to Tires Tires Tires and posted it on instagram. My husband even knows her voice from me listening to all the videos. I loved how she is writing a story, about her story and how she got inspiration. Lots of little Easter Eggs in the book for those of us that know the back story.
Kate is adorable and so lovable. I love her inner monologue. Miles, oh what an awesome book boyfriend. He does have his baggage and it sets into motion how Kate reacts to certain things and the obstacles of their relationship.
Of course this book has a HEA and I hope that it is the start to a great series. I foresee Kate's friends having their own 'Waiting' story.

There are days when all the negativity of life gets to be hard to bear. Books like Wait With Me are like a breath of fresh air. Getting lost in a book like this made me smile the whole time. I could see myself listening to this book again! It's so much fun! A happy, sweet and hot love story is always a welcome respite to me, and I had a goofy grin on my face while reading it! I loved both the story and the story behind the story, if you haven't check out Amy Daws author page and read her story about writing at Tires Tires Tires, you should. She is pure joy!
Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton were fantastic narrators. While I missed the dual narration of many of Amy Daws' other books, the narration was still wonderful. If you're a romance fan, you won't be disappointed!

Wait With Me is the perfect mixture of hilarious and sweet! If you follow Amy Daws on her social media then you've probably watched her "Tires Tires Tires" experiences and the genius woman that she is took that experience and turned it into this amazing Rom Com ?.
Kate aka "Mercedes" and Miles were so good together! The ridiculous antics of Kate; she's this perfect storm of craziness and sweet..vulnerable and brave. And then there is Miles oh Miles ? "swoon" is one word that comes to mind..in all of his overprotective strangely laid back alpha goodness..GAH! ? ? All these contradictions are what make you fall so in love with these characters and with their story. Will these two find love over complimentary coffee and cookies? Do yourself a favor and read Wait With Me & Find out!

I was laughing from the second page of this book, I couldn't put it down. The antics of her friends made me laugh and the random thoughts she has that pop in her head caused a mass of chuckles.
Kate is determined to do what is needed to ensure she can work peacefully and snack on the devine complimentary snacks that the tire depot provides, she even offers a bribe to mechanic Miles for a little more time in her zone.
Miles is a person slightly kicking himself for things that happened in his past that sometimes it seems that he isn't looking at what's in front of him.. Will he open his eyes to it?
Kate and Miles have a banterful/flirty relationship that eventually hits a head when clothes come off.. damn these sex scenes are sweaty, steamy and off the charts hot.
I can say hands down that I loved this book, I couldn't put it down. I loved these two characters. I loved her friends, his sister (their interactions are comical) and his friend Sam.
Will it all work out? Or is casual the way to go?
"We won't know that until The End!"
